I needed a live scan for my recent job. The staff were great. The wait time was reasonable depending on the client's needs.

Service is friendly but the business practices leaves a lot to be desired. Printing standard A2 black and white is $.49 per page plus service fee which is expensive. We bought 9x11 vanilla envelopes for $2.75 each and right after we walked out the door we changed our mind and wanted to return but there is no return policy. Wish they posted signs about the no return or told us during purchase. Overall, they get things done but leave a lot to be desired business practicewise. read more

Me and the bf were looking for a best place to get our documents notarized and we are thankful that UPS can get it done. Now the frustration starts, when we drove to Sacramento to file our documents, the staff noticed one of our names was misspelled incorrectly. They said I had to drive back and get that notarized fixed but driving two hrs and back sounds insane but thankfully one of the staff was able to get our documents notarized and spelled correctly. Yes, I was charged another $30 to get it notarized again. But the notary said you should be able to get your documents refunded with a letter from the state. When we return, we drove back to the UPS store and we explained our situation. The situation was the staff misspelled one of our names and they said sorry theres no refund but we charged for our service. I get that I was charged for the service but the service was incorrect and not adequate. It was the staff mistake and she was the one in-charge of the notary and I should be able to get my refund back. It's not my fault, I wasn't the one who wrote the notary. If you're the notary, please double check your spelling before returning back the documents to the customer. read more

I came in. Worried because I had the worst previous Livescan shop I went to in a mom and pop shop in Fremont. I was not ready for that terrible service and unorganized experience. Here, I was able to come in. I felt welcomed and safe. They do a fantastic job here as I saw the friendly man and diligent lady help each patron in the store. I am happy that my fingerprinting here did not take long. And they said it went through. read more

I recently visited this store and had a very disappointing experience. I ended up waiting for 30 minutes before being helped, despite staff members being available and assisting other customers. It felt like I was being consistently overlooked, even though I was waiting patiently (this is despite being the fact that I was visiting the store with my kid and age old parents). There are some implicit issues with the store layout. The location of photo booth was not very convenient and it's at a corner place surrounded by internet desk and notary station. So if there are other customers using notary station or internet desk, the photo taking facility could not be used even though the station was supposed to be free. The frustrating part was when we were done with the payment and we tried giving this as a genuine feedback, the staff only acknowledged and asked to leave a feedback to an email address (which they seemed to be hesitant to share clearly). I genuinely hope they improve their customer service with a fair treatment and give equal attention to all their customers. read more

Brought my Amazon package to send back and they said I need to pay a fee for a strip of tape to close my box to send. I am not coming back to this location again. I've had enough of this place. Every time I have gone, I have had nothing but a bad experience. I mainly use this store for Amazon returns. However, every time I come here, there is always SOMETHING wrong apparently. Sometimes it's "this is against UPS regulations on size", sometimes "you need to box this yourself." Even though the QR code, provided by Amazon, fully disagrees. Their argument, while yelling at me: "go fight with Amazon or UPS this is not the right QR code." The problem seems to be that they are disgruntled, rude, and unwilling to work with customers. You are not gatekeepers, you are service providers. Figure yourselves out and get better at business, or keep suffering the consequences of entire communities being done with your business. Edit: In response to this nonsense: "While we are a service provider, it is ultimately the customer's responsibility to understand and follow Amazon's return and exchange guidelines, including the specific QR code instructions provided for each return. Not all QR codes are the same, some require customer packaging, some have size limitations, and some are accepted only at certain locations. These are Amazon's rules, not ours." -I'm well aware of what QR codes are. -Amazon provided the QR code, I did not pull it out of thin air. -I followed Amazon's return and exchange guideline. It is not my problem that your staff cannot do the same. -The QR code clearly states at the top "UPS STORE. NO BOX NO LABEL". You stated that "Amazon made a mistake. Go argue with them". Sorry, but who is the customer here? Please read up on what QR codes are, and try again. -Once again, you omit key information, obfuscate, and continually refuse to accept responsibility for poor performances, attitudes, and rudeness. I absolutely will not be coming here anymore. I will advise anyone who would like to speak to semi-educated individuals who can read "NO BOX NO LABEL", be treated with respect, and not immediately yelled at by staff who clearly did not want to be there, and who can follow their own rules, to do the same. read more

This is an UPDATE to the terrible 1-Star rating I posted three (3) years ago... on Nov 10, 2022. This UPS Store has gone through a complete change for the better! My last couple of visits were excellent. In fact, I asked the gentleman behind the counter if the store was "under new management, or whether it had been sold to a new owner." His response: "Same ownership, new employees." Why? It was clear that - with one exception - there were ALL NEW employees working. When I arrived, just before Christmas, the line was nearly to the door. I initially settled in and expected to be there at least thirty (30) minutes. Boy, was I wrong! The line moved so swiftly, I was up to the counter and done in no time. My second trip back today - to return Amazon delivery - was equally as fast. These folks are now operating with great efficiency and excellent customer service... a complete turnaround. Since I ripped them so hard before, I thought it only right to give credit when it's due. This store and the owner is a gem in Union City. I had a unique print job that required attention to details and fast execution. I had to print a schedule of events (6 versions) and a program for my daughter's wedding and went to this store to inquire if they can do this complex job with a fast turn. The employee called the owner who in turn personally engaged with me to understand the details, requirements and helped with selection of stock paper, format, layout etc while ensuring the cost was nominal. The net result was the printed product (schedule of events and program) looked very good and was appreciated by our guests. I would highly recommend this store for any print job as the owner, Neeraj, personally pays attention and strives to exceed your expectations with his service, quality while offering value. They periodically will let waiting customers know that they'll be helped momentarily. It's a nice check in from time to time. PO Boxes, printing, copying, shipping, package returns, photos - they do all that you need here as an extension of your home office or business. UPS wears the brown and takes the crown! read more

Two different bad experiences here were enough to loose my business and time. First experience was getting a form notarized. I arrived in the morning and the lady worker said the notary person was not in for another hour. I waited for an hour and a half. No one arrived and when I asked the worker about the notary person again, she shrugged and said, "I don't know. She should have been here already. Come back later." I left. My schedule did not allow me to come back later. Second bad experience was getting a passport photo for my 1 year old son. I came in the morning. Same lady in the previous experience was working. When I told her I needed a passport photo for my son, she scoffed and told me that my son has to sit. I told her my son is able to sit and I even demonstrated it to her. The lady worker grabbed a camera and took pictures... without the battery. After she grabbed what I assumed was a battery and started taking pictures she said, "Too dark. Too dark. It's too dark." Then, she scoffed again and said with disappointment, "They didn't charge the battery. That's why it's dark." I asked if there was a spare battery and how long it would take to charge, but she said, "Sorry. It's too dark. They didn't charge the battery. Come back later." I left. I could not come back. In both experiences, this particular worker never made eye contact and lacked customer service. This UPS owner needs to reevaluate this particular employee's customer service skills and the services that are provided at this store. This UPS store owner should not advertise the services, notary and/or passport photos, if it is not true. This store owner needs to specify EXACTLY when these services are offered because saying a service is offered but really not is FALSE advertising. This UPS store lacks customer service and is unreliable of its offered services. Maybe dropping off a package would be okay here, but for other services... don't waste your time. Instead, go to the UPS on Mission Blvd off Industrial in Hayward and/or the UPS on Whipple in Union City. Those store owners and their employees seem to shine in customer service and the services they factually provide. read more

I came here a few days ago with packages for return and the lady said it was $7 to tape per package. I was stunned. I said I Better off buying a roll behind me for $5.99 and doing it myself but decided not to. Then I come today with 8 bags taped up and she then proceeds to say it's $3 per package to "store it" until the following day because USPS has already been picked up. Never ever in my years of returning anything at any UPS store has any store ever said that, she said each store is solely owned and rules are different at each store. Mind boggling. read more

the clerk at this store sounded like he was making his own rules regarding amazon drop/offs & returns. i came in to return 5 items under 1 code, so instead he had me do 1 code, 1 item at a time. i called another ups store and they said they haven't heard of this change from amazon. the manager didn't even bother clarifying anything. unless your packages are simple, i wouldn't recommend this ups location. read more

Worest experience I went for the passport size photo service and they charge me 18.99$ and for Degital they charge me 15$ at first but after when they giving me photos they ask me to pay extra 5$ for Degital and I ask them why don't you tell me on the first time and the payment is done in this case I don't want Degital and ask for refund for my Degital but they don't #Unfair people I think FedEx is better and cheaper choose wisely Thank you read more

They always claim they can't do something when I know they can because other neighboring UPS stores will do them for me. For example, they said it's one item per Amazon return barcode. I've been able to return multiple items on one barcode at other locations. Also, other locations make it convenient because they have an Amazon barcode station where you can scan your Qr code and bag it yourself to drop off. This one doesn't have such a station. This one will also try to charge me where other UPS stores don't charge (example: storage fee for Usps outing mail) . Even though this is my closest UPS store, I drive out of my way to go to other UPS stores because this one is never helpful and always claims they can't do something. They also try to nickel and dime you by charging for services that are supposed to be free of charge. I've tried giving them a chance here and there, but it's always the same lack of quality and service. They're a huge waste of my time. read more

Came to this location to do an Amazon return and they said they couldn't do it because it needed more tape. I went ahead and asked if they had tape that I could perhaps use since it was already taped up. Mind you this is a basic Amazon box, normal dimensions and taped exceptionally well. The lady then proceeded to pull out a tape measure and measured about 6 inches of tape that is needed (which it definitely wasn't in need of) and tried to charge me $4... FOR 6 INCHES OF TAPE. Mind you the box was already taped shut. She then tried to say "if you do not like it, there is a roll you can buy for $6. Better value" My sister in Christ I'm just trying to return my Amazon package for free per the company and prime policy. I went ahead and proceeded to the Whipple location near 24 hour fitness where they did it with no questions asked. Save your time, gas, or electric battery charge and just drive the extra mile to another location, it's well worth it. read more
