Beware! This store is not what it seems to be. I went to the store thinking it was a FedEx. My mistake, but a sign on the front window says: "FedEx Authorized Shipping Center." However, I learned that it was a Postal Annex store and did not charge FedEx prices (or even close in my case). I copied my papers and prepared to send them by FedEx. Clerk Caroline correctly put my two mailings in two separate FedEx envelopes (going to the East Coast). She told me that the charges would be $69.44 for each. I told her that I had sent similar mailings by FedEx and been charged $10. She said that she hadn't hear of any $10 FedEx mailing charge and maintained the $69.44 charges must be paid. She offered to return my mailings but I needed to have them sent that day (August 27, 2023), as Caroline knew from our earlier conversation. I paid the total charges ($138.88) and left the store. The next day, I phoned the store in order to dispute the excessive charges with the manager, I called 3X getting no answer each time. I then called Postal Annex customer service in Denver. I was told (by Jeri) that each Postal Annex store is independently operated and has no limit on their charges. Jeri called the Fremont store and told me that no adjustment to my charges would be made. I am informed that FedEx currently charges $10.95 for the mailings such as mine (even shipping to the East Coast, as in my case). I made a letter complaint to Postal Express headquarters but there was no reply. Apparently, it is OK for Postal Express stores to rip off customers. read more

In the last two months I used Postal Annex for fingerprinting/live scan, UPS pre labeled drop off, and USPS package drop off. It was easy and more convenient than dropping off packages at a USPS or UPS store. Conveniently located in the shopping center near Raleys. I will be using this place more! Needed to notarize a document. I have family members that are notaries, It's against the rules to notarize a family member's document... and I love to follow rules... haha! My bank does it free with an appointment.You can shop around for a good price. But, I ran in here... I had something notarized here years ago. (Has been sold a few times since then.) I didn't want to shop around on a stifling hot day and have to drive somewhere else... So they had me by the proverbial (non existent) balls! When she said each page was $15 I almost choked! OMG the usual fee is about $5 per page! Thank goodness I only needed one page. Seriously thought about breaking those rules tho! Lol... Realistically I will probably never step foot in this dismal place again. they were not very nice or particularly helpful. If I was more prepared I would've went elsewhere. EXPENSIVE$$$$ read more

These guys have good service but are extremely expensive. They charge 70 cents for postage stamps that are 50 cents in the post office. Livescan is 74$. That's extremely expensive. Fremont Police Station charges around 22$ for the same service. I only visit them when I am on a deadline. Else there are other less pricey options. read more

I came in for fingerprinting on a Saturday, not realizing that it was only done on Monday - Friday's. She was kind enough to do it for me nevertheless. Not only did she help me out - but she was also able to help other customers simultaneously! She's good at multitasking and she's super friendly too! I told her about my previous experience where I got them done a week prior and how they were rejected. :( I decided to go to a different place and went to this location instead. She took the time to make sure my fingerprints looked its best and helped guided me through it. She really took her time with it too, making sure my fingerprints went through. Unlike other shipping outlets, this postal annex+ does not charge you for using their computer services, which alleviate so much of the pressure and cost. They have also not charged me for using their packaging in the past and the staff is always helpful. Do not go to this place for LiveScan fingerprinting services. Especially if you have poorly visible fingerprints. They're too busy to give you the dedicated attention you need to get a good set of fingerprints. After the BRN rejected my two fingerprints from this vendor, I tried a Security Training LiveScan vendor in Hayward and my fingerprints finally got accepted. read more

Caroline was a very rude and visiting this store was beyond terrible of an experience. She seems to be the owner, and comes off extremally rude. She gets upset if she has to stand up from her chair. She refuses to sign for packages and demonstrates a lack of customer service. I would not recommend anyone here.
