needed an urgent same day print for a birthday gift. i have etickets for a show and designed a physical one to gift my partner. the attendant which was rudely acting like the owner said he wont print it because it was illegal, but could not explain or point why. the design was very far from emulating an actual ticket fyi and clearly is a greeting gift if only he took the time to read. he refused to print so i went to fedex instead and they printed my design no problem. would not support this business and would definitely spread the word with my circle. read more

Horrible experience. Sent the guy a email asking him IF he would be able to do a print for me. He replies with "READY" even though I did not okay the requested order. So out of obligation I go to pick it up because I can still use it. I go and all copies are the wrong size. The reason being I didn't state the size in my email where I was asking him questions, not requesting a service. My coworkers are nice enough to pay him for this order that was wrong. And we pay for a reprint as well. Personally, I would not pay for the order that I did not request. The reprint was a doozy too, he refused to let my coworker help him export a file to PDF. So we had to wait there for this not-so-tech-savvy dude try to figure out basic computer functions. He requests cash so we requested a receipt for company reimbursement purposes. He mumbles something under his breath and tosses the cash back. Runs my coworkers card and tosses it on the counter. I understand credit card companies take a percentage through card. But all we asked for was a receipt, there was no need for the attitude. To top off the experience, as he swiped the card, he complains that he was doing us a favor trying to help us and is VERY BUSY. I received a D&D Player's Handbook second-hand from a friend. Some of the pages were beginning to fall out, others were fully removable from the book. There was some glue damage where it was obvious my friend had tried fixing the book himself before giving up (and inevitably buying himself a new copy). I went to Staples a few days ago (Tuesday, IIRC), on the advice of an online post (and with confirmation from another friend - a former Staples employee, no less) that Staples could turn the book into a spiral-bound version, for about $12-15. However, the woman there said that my book was too thick, and that the spiral binding would be too close to the text - making some text completely unreadable. I thanked her, and decided to look elsewhere, keeping Staples as a worst-case-scenario. Right across from The Hub is... Copy Perfect. I checked online to see what services they offer, and huzzah! They offer book rebinding. I took it in today around 3pm, explained what I needed, and received a quote - $10. Told to come back by 5, and that I could expect a call when the book was done. Around 4:15, get the call saying my book is ready. Get down there, and to say I'm pleased with the results is an understatement. I'm THRILLED. All of the text is readable and not cut off, there's no evidence of damage from the previous repair attempts. and there's a nice clear cover on the front (and a white back piece). My favorite cookbook is in paperback form and the spine was broken and the pages wouldn't lie flat- terrible problem for a cookbook. I brought it in and they could spiral bind it for me! I have been going to Copy Perfect since I moved to Fremont over 6 years ago. Today they were able to scan 18" x 12" pastel drawings and out put them at about half the size. The resolution was exceptional. They were very patient with me. They recently laminated several pieces of art for me that turned out very nice. The first thing almost all ask is "Create an account", next step - do it yourself !! if you get stuck, wait for help while they service a separate line of customers. Online is a shipping wait and cost. Not so at "Copy Perfect "These guys rock. Yes are actually caring humans who will take care of you, advice you, design with/for you and print for you. Amazing professional service at a very reasonable cost. I was dazzled by their service. Having to print urgently, all other options were 2-4 days some longer with shipping charges. Out of curiosity, I found them on yelp and walked in;they delivered and how! I showed my pdf for greeting cards and was given choices of paper, price and advice on fold and envelopes. After a few design modifications by me sitting in their shop, the printing was done in 10 minutes and we were done. What a relief! I now have extra free days thanks to these folks From small cards, to large banners, engineering drawing, lamination, binding they have the works to do it in house and usually on the spot while you wait. It wasn't my usual copier place and not the great Oakland find where I get do like 5cent black and white copies for the super cheap on top of a student discount. I was in the Fremont area and needed to get some huge piles of copies done so I turned to my trusty Yelp to see what's around. A couple of places were closed on Saturdays and I wasn't trying to hit up Kinkos, or Fedex or anything like that. Copy Perfect was the closest to what I was looking for so I gps my way there. It's not hard to find, tucked off in a corner on a huge plaza there's parking lot in the back but the spaces are really tight. Copy Perfect is very clean and there was only one person in the shop, I presume was the owner. There are no prices posted up, but he told me it was 10 cents for black and white copies per page. It could of been worse. He was very friendly and actually did my copies for me. It was done within minutes and printed very well and on good paper. They do accept credit cards but have a minimum charge for 5$ and they don't accept debit cards! They have other services as well such as notary and instant passport photos and even a kodak machine for printing pictures. Mr. Iqbal Khalsa is a very hands-on artist and owner who has helped my kids have the best "finishing" touches for their creative work--may it be a cover of a folder or spiral binding on a report---50% less expensive than Kinkos and 100% faster. There were some fonts that did not work for my older son for his report, Mr. Khalsa took the time to fix it and cover page came out looking professional. The folks that work are really nice. I went across the street to FedEx/Kinkos and they tried they're absolute best to make sure I could use their automated machines. I told them that the flashdrive I had wasn't working, so they burned me a CD and told me to try again. Amrik and staff are always kind and professional. I often come in for landscape CAD plan copies, sometimes with a difficult original that gets turned away from the automatic Fed Ex machines. Can't rate them on their copy services since I just visited this place to print some e-mails and bank statements real quick.
