I live in Fremont and wanted to patronize a local business, so I found Print Cafe via Yelp and I can assure you the reviews don't lie. Talk about great pricing! I was sick of Fed Ex and there terrible service, so I looked up on Yelp for other printing places. I was successful. Coming here is half of what they charge at Staples, FedEx and UPS. It felt like it was a small family business, but very professional. I liked how they weren't too busy to help me out right away and let me print from my email. I was able to print some pages from my school text book for a very reasonable price. You are also able to just email what you need printed to the owner, and she will have it ready for you when you come into pick it up. I went here today to print off a few resumes for a job interview tomorrow. I had never been here before and generally try spend most of my money at small businesses. The shop was very nice although parking was a bother. Unfortunately, they didn't have a computer for me to pull up my résumé from my email. Shouldn't this be standard? Every print shop I have ever been to allowed me to do this. Perhaps it's store policy or lack of Internet? Either way, it was a waste of a trip. From the photos I saw, they do great work. Stephanie is very sweet and knowledgeable. I was happy to go here on insistence of a few friends who had their beautiful cards printed here. Searching for a printer/designer for my wedding cards, I was very excited to work with them. However, they took quite a bit longer than I had expected to get back to me, and I found the same high quality work but for a better price and with prompter service closer to my home. Cheers though, I truly hope this little place does well, though it seems they still have a few kinks to iron out. Can't talk about the print quality because I never ended up getting my items printed but wasn't super happy with my experience. I went onto their website to try and get some more information but there was none on there so I prepared my files, and went in. I was trying to print a greeting card and when I went in the only thing they said to me was that there is a 2.50 computer fee (which idk how else anyone would print anything), and 25¢ per page. Then they asked if it was color, I said yes so they said that's a dollar, I said that was fine. Then they plugged in my USB and the guy didn't know how to print JPG (jpg are so standard..). So another girl came to help and she asked if I wanted it on regular paper, I asked if they had heavier weight paper, she said that would cost more, and I said that was fine. Then she asked if I would need it cut because that's more work for them, I said I can cut it myself (I'm a designer so I can figure it out). From there she didn't know how to do it either so she asked her manager to come, her manager asked again if I needed it trimmed and I said I didn't need to but if they could put crop marks on it that would be great, she said that would also cost an extra graphics fee, at this point I was annoyed because I couldn't get any of this information online and I had driven 30 minutes from my house to come get this printed. All in all, I was annoyed that I I didn't have any of the information I needed before coming into print, and I was okay with all the additional charges but in the end they couldn't even do it for me because I didn't have all the information I needed. read more

This is such an overdue review.. With the anniversary of my wedding this month, I remembered the much deserved review I left out for Print Cafe. I had my wedding invitations made here last year and I received amazing service from Stephanie and the rest of the staff. She probably printed a dozen drafts until I had the exact colors, fonts, and design I had envisioned. My invitations were beautiful.. Their work is unique, yet elegant and classic. I ended up having them print my seating chart, bar menu, and table numbers and everything matched perfectly. The table numbers were double sided with our engagement photos printed on them. They also printed an enlarged engagement photo on foam board for our entrance.. All great quality! I will definitely be back here to print wedding photos! =) read more

Stephanie our graphic design lady was amazing! We had an Alice in Wonderland theme and she really put a classy touchy to our invitation with a top hat on our RSVP. Many of our guest have complemented how beautiful our invitations were. We will have Stephanie also do our seating chart as well and I already know she will make it look good! Thumbs up! Came in for a print job on a small poster. I was quoted $10 over the phone. I didnt have a digital file, so the lady suggested other options which would amount to $25. I think not! not for a poster. I was really happy with the first batch of cards I ordered, so all I wanted was to reorder with no changes. I was told the graphic designer who worked on my cards was no longer working there but I figure they should still have my file so no big deal, it looked the same on the proof I was shown. Upon picking up, I noticed the font was very light and the back cover was very off color. Absolutely unacceptable which they agreed and they said they would redo the order, I also left them with the original card to show them the difference and what I wanted. When they told me it was ready the second time, it was still not like the original. Font was a lighter brown rather than the bold I wanted, it just didn't pop out. The color was better, definitely better than the first one. I let them know that I wasn't happy with it because obviously it wasn't what I wanted, as I showed them the original again. They just said they would darken it next time. I only took the cards because it was already the second print, and they looked okay but I want to love my cards as I once did. Pretty disappointed that they let me take the cards knowing I wasn't happy with it. read more

Let me start off my saying that the customer service at print cafe is amazing. I had a rush order on invitations that needed to be printed by next day and although they didn't have the supplies to do so, they found a way to get what I wanted done. They are willing to also work with you on graphics, color, and placement. The only downside that I could mention is that they are on the pricier side, therefore if you have more time, it may be best to look for a more cost effective place.
