I love the concept of this place, and I love that it's woman owned and there's a strong women presence in the staff. I recruited 4 of my closest friends and we were ready to bring our sneaker designs to life. So I give the sneaker activity a 4/5 from an adult perspective. It wasn't what I expected. We had ideas in what we wanted to make, but the customization is very limiting. I expected: - The shoes already being there, and getting to put the designs on myself. In reality, the shoes weren't there and they heat press your designs for you at a later time - more freedom on design like coloring in other sections of the shoe or adding design to the shoelaces. You only get at most 5 places to add design to, per side and per shoe. And everything is done on Canva - to leave with my shoes. You wait a few more days to pick up the final product. On the Square website, yes I was aware of the sentence that said shoes are picked up the following week. But i thought that was merchandise before we start design So I interpreted it as, book the appointment at least a week ahead for the shoes to be there in the store. (I booked over a month in advance) So to reiterate, this place is definitely 5/5. I'd come by for the other activities. As for the sneaker activity, skip it if adult only.

5 stars because the staff here ( Ashley and Winny) are so amazing!!! My partner and I signed up to do tote bag making - first off they were very flexible with letting us use our credits for other activities even though we ended up going with the tote bags. Secondly I took over 3 hours and had a complicated design and the staff girlies were so patient! They never rushed me off a desktop, they were diligent in making sure my designs would print out properly and even offered to print parts of it again if it came out improperly and they were so careful in ironing my design to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. I also wanted to add my name to my tote bag at the end but the letter patches didn't have all the letters of my name so I asked if I could print my name out and pay extra and they let me just print it out for free! So kind!!! Lots of selection of activities in the store - most of them felt targeted to a younger demographic but there is a charms bar w a decent selection, night light, water bottles engraving, custom sneaker, custom stuffed animal, custom stickers, custom framed art and custom patches. Price for the tote bag was 30 dollars which is def felt was high to start with but for the fun and quality of the finished project I think it was totally worth it! I do think for younger kids the value might vary since you def can speed through these activities. TLDR had fun and loved the staff and loved the result!

Went to the Grand opening and it was pretty chaotic. The kids saw a bunch of other kids sit at a table and started working on a stuffed animal craft. My daughter thought it was free as part of grand opening. I asked to double check and it wasn't free but by that time my daughter had already almost completed her animal and wanted to pay for it. $60! I felt a little tricked. After I bought it, I realized there was an extra $4 charge for an accessory they never told my daughter about it before adding it. I'm pretty upset at the lack of price transparency.

What a great place to get your creative juices to work! My wife and I came here and got to choose from many different choices to make an item and customize it. We decided to make some keychains for our kids with there names on it! The facility is really nice! I love the decor and set up of the place! Very cool spot located in downtown Mountain View. Nice date night activity to do before or after your meal in downtown. Our kids loved the keychains we made them! Staff was very friendly and help full! We will have to take them with us next time!

We've had three visits now to MadeBy! My 11yo did a day camp on President's Day and she loved the comic book design the most. Then my 40 person team came for a team fun event and it was a nice change of scenery for these events. The badge bar was a hit. Now I'm here with my two kids and we made lunch totes at the patch bar. We love having this space right on downtown. The folks working here are always friendly and super easy to coordinate pickups for things that are ready next day!

Awesome place to spend an afternoon with your kids making crafts and personalized items. You can make your own images with Canva and chatgpt and then create stickers, night lights, hats, print them into sneakerd/water bottles. You can even create a short story and print it out as a comic. There is a also a charm/necklace/ bracelet DIY bar. If you want to crochet or knit, they have that too! Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Prices are extremely reasonable. Come stop by and see if for youself!

I was in downtown Mountain View and stopped by this store during their grand opening with my wife. You can create and customize a variety of stuff like stickers, hats, water bottles, etc. The staff and workers were really helpful and friendly as they guided us through the process on how to create and then print out what we wanted. We used the computer to airdrop a picture, and then generated cartoon images with ChatGPT to print out as stickers! It was a pretty seamless process and the stickers turned out really cool! I would recommend this place as a fun activity for any group and kids to come, make something cool, and take it home!

From the moment I arrived, they made sure I felt comfortable, guided me patiently through the basics, and offered thoughtful tips that actually helped improve my form. One of the Coaches was so funny , I enjoyed my interaction while hitting the bull's eye. It didn't feel rushed or transactional at all-instead, it felt like they genuinely cared about making the experience enjoyable and meaningful. One small but incredibly kind gesture that really stuck with me was that they let me continue practicing for a few extra minutes beyond my session. That level of thoughtfulness and flexibility made the whole experience feel even more special. Whether you're a complete beginner or just looking to try something new, I'd highly recommend this place. Although we enjoyed the general plot of the scavenger hunt and liked the experience of narrowing down who the culprit was, we felt that the clues were excessively specific, as we had to skim through every label in each area of the museum to get the information we needed. I think we would've preferred more general clues where you could still enjoy the information in that area of the museum without having to work so hard to search through each line of text. I also felt like the clues given were not very connected to the objects in the museum, and the plot of the mystery didn't seem very relevant to the setting of the museum. This took us out of the environment of the museum and made the experience less enjoyable. I felt that the length of was too long at 2.5 hours, although if the clues hadn't been as specific, perhaps we would have been less mentally exhausted at the end. We felt that it was fairly easy to narrow down the culprit with a handful of clues, so I think it would have made for far more intrigue if the clues were more directly tied to the plot and involved more thinking rather than just piecing together tidbits of information. My biggest qualm was the price of the scavenger hunt. I felt like paying $60 for to cover the cost of the museum admission, the video at the beginning of the scavenger hunt, and the website that was made for the scavenger hunt was very unreasonable. An average escape room in the area is about $40 to $50, and escape rooms have much more upfront expenses for the organizers, including the cost of renting the space, the elaborate props, and the staffing. This was a fairly enjoyable one-time experience, but in the future I would just go to an escape room.

As part of the experience we all got a drink/snack as complimentary. To top it all Tal gave a nice prize/gift to the winning team. I was here playing in my APA league and we also got a practice table. At around 10pm a waitlist started to form, Tino came over to take our table away. We politely offered to just pay the regular hourly rate to keep it. He asked how many of us there were. When we said two, he visibly scoffed, acted like that wasn't enough, and told us we would have to pay the rate for four people if we wanted to keep the table. Then, he just took the table away from us anyway. Worse, when I was complaining to my teammates, he started yelling at me, complaining that we had the table for three hours, that his employee hadn't had lunch yet, and that we needed to give it up and get back on the waitlist. His entire attitude was aggressive, and he tried to make me feel like I was in the wrong for simply playing on a table we had legitimately secured. Later, when the league ended around 11pm, the double standard became painfully obvious. Tino came over specifically to shut down our league table, even though several other teams were still practicing on theirs. He completely ignored everyone else and specifically targeted us. I have been playing pool for nearly 20 years, currently shooting as an APA level 7, with a FargoRate of 568, and I know proper pool hall etiquette. I have never been kicked off a table, singled out, or spoken to this way by staff anywhere. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. Final words to 946: if you don't want the league to interrupt your business, just don't host it. If you choose to host it, treat the players nicely, as we are customers too.

***3.5 stars overall***…read more I took a friend to Color Me Mine for their birthday. This location was convenient but it was really small. I am glad I made a table reservation. (You put a $10 deposit on the table that ends up going towards your final bill.) Because of the long rectangular shape of the store, the staff sit in the middle of the store, so no one greets you when you walk in. Thus, we were a little confused when we entered -- not knowing if we look for our table first or look for a ceramic piece first? Or do we check in somewhere? A greeting from the staff would have solved this. Without leaving their counter, someone briefly and hurriedly explained the process and locations of everything, and left us to begin. Even though I had done this before, it was my first time at this store and it was my friend's first painting pottery ever, and we were both lost, even after her mini tutorial. (I have been to pottery painting places where they walk you to the paint area to get you started, as an example of comparison.) Thankfully I remembered things from previous experiences that the painted ceramic tiles by the paint bottles with 3 squares symbolize what the different layers would look like after firing. (This is critical knowledge that the staff should point out to each group, so we'd understand how each layer of paint looks when dried/fired because sometimes we may want to paint 3 layers of paint, but not always. It was crucial to understand how to reference these tiles!) The paints and brushes were in one corner; the sink and paper towels were around the corner in the back of the store; and there was one main shelf of unpainted pottery choices (with a range of prices, but after adding in your $10 a person sitting fee, the final cost adds up, so be sure you like the piece you choose!) We chose to paint one large piece together rather than 2 smaller pieces. To make the look more cohesive, we chose colors within a certain range (lavenders and yellows/orange), and then we didn't look at the each other's side! It was very fun. **Some Things To Note** - Your table reservation gives you 2 hours. (We finished in that time but we also didn't do a lot of detailed work. I actually think most people would need more time than that if you choose a large ceramic or are painting details.) - The tables are pretty close together, so you don't get much privacy. We all heard each other's conversations. It was also very narrow to walk between the tables when people were painting, so it may not be a place to bring active kids who can't sit still for long periods of time. - It looks like they allow outdoor food because many were bringing their own snacks. I brought in an outside drink, which I'm glad I did because it was warm and you sit there for hours. - They do have a bathroom, if anyone is wondering. - It may take a week for them to get to your ceramic piece, glaze and fire it, but we got a text that it was ready around 4 days after painting it. It is a fun experience to paint pottery, as long as you can afford it and feel comfortable approaching the counter to ask your questions because the staff doesn't seem like they go out of their way to offer help unfortunately.

For example, all six of us were mixing one single sauce together with only three ingredients. This was not communicated clearly in the class description and felt very uncomfortable. The class description also stated that everything would be made from scratch, but that was not the case. We wrapped pre-cut chicken in pre-made phyllo dough, which was very different from what we were expecting based on how the class was advertised. Additionally, the experience felt a bit low-quality. The appetizer was a single small plate of pita bread and oil--probably under $2 total--to be shared among all six people.
