6 out of 8 ornaments broken before I could even mail them out as gifts.

The people that work at the Kirkland WA are rude. These ornaments are so cheaply made I bought 8 as gifts and before I could mail them out 6 are broken. Even when I was trying to just glue gun the snowboard on to the mouse that has already fallen off but it wasn't broken yet, it broke the mouse. All but 2 of those things broke and look at the price of them ! $15 I'm sure they were on sale a little bit but I remember paying a pretty penny for all 8 and only have 2 left I couldn't even mail them to my sister's family because only 2 would of gotten ones and the others wouldn't of so here I am with shattered glass and no Christmas gifts sent

Summary: It does not feel good to be watched and followed for simply trying to browse and buy some model kit paint. I just had a similar experience to the other recent reviews regarding an employee or manager following people around. In my case I was browsing for some model kit paint and noticed someone that kept looking down the aisle multiple times (from both directions) but didn't go into the aisle. After I finally found (because it was disorganized) the colors I proceeded to go to the checkout counter and this lady followed and stood at the start/exit) of the line and waited for me to pay. The reason I knew she wasn't a customer was because she didn't have anything to buy and because another customer asked if she was in line and she said 'no'.  I sat in my car for a few minutes questioning whether all of this had really happened or if I had misunderstood the event. I went back in and asked the cashier who rang my items for the store manager to which he responded that he was the manager (on duty?). I told him that I felt uncomfortable being followed by this lady and asked whether that was an employee or loss prevention to which he said he was not aware of anyone and apologized about the situation. Finally at home I logged into Yelp and I saw these reviews and I'm ready to go back and return all my purchases. I'll just buy online or at another hobby store.

One of the rudest people I have encountered.

So my child was looking at the huge Christmas soldier statue and my son says this is hollow and he shook it, this disrespectful woman screams across the store OH NO that is $500.00, that is $500.00, $500.00. I said wow, that was very loud and I proceeded to tell my son to not shake it. She walks away and goes to blow up balloons and I hear her say to the customer that I said oh that was loud. I walked over to her to ask her if she had something she wanted to address with me because discussing me with another customer is inappropriate. She lied and said there were other customers that she could be talking about. I informed her discussing any customer to another customer is inappropriate. I informed her yelling across the store the price of a product several of times was uncalled for. She was so loud it scared my son. As a parent if my child breaks something, I am fully aware that I am responsible. Mentioning the price several of times when the price tag is there was not needed. Safety should have been here concern. Rather the statue was broke or not she would still get her $17.00 per hour check. I informed her when you see a child with an adult doing something that you want to address you speak with the adult. That is something she should know. One thing I do not play about are my children. As much as I visit Michaels, she has now changed that. Her rudeness was just mind blowing. Very disrespectful! She needs more training! Blowing up balloons may be her area because customer service definitely is NOT! Ugh! Look at her face! Her tone, body language and attitude was disgusting. Any company that has someone like her representing them is undeserving of my time and money. Please also note that a man and his son walked over right after, looked, touched and shook the nutcracker and she didn't say anything. The only difference was his skin color.

The Wild Hare Haberdashery - Ribbon

The Wild Hare Haberdashery

While on a road trip from Los Angeles to Berkeley, I detoured a bit to visit some quilt/fabric…read morestores and The Wild Hare Haberdashery was one of those stops! I actually found out about this place in the most random, roundabout way... A friend sent me a package and accidentally left the order confirmation from her Wild Hare purchase inside. Naturally, I did what any curious quilter would do... Looked it up, loved their online vibe, and decided I had to see it in person. Parking was easy in a nearby lot and the store itself is charming with a variety of craft supplies including quilting fabric, needlepoint, watercolor kits, washi tape, and even finished handmade goods available for sale. When I walked in, initially I did not see anyone at the register/desk, so I browsed up front. Eventually, I spotted an employee at the register but they didn't greet me or acknowledge me which was definitely off-putting. Customer service is everything. The fabric selection was nice though I found the online selection more enticing. Everything was of very high quality. I ended up leaving with just a roll of washi tape. Overall, cute store and worth checking out for the variety, but I wish the welcome had matched the charm of the space.

Plenty of cute designs on display, including bunnies of course. There was only one person managing the store, and she kind of just allows customers to explore, not offering assistance, which I'm fine with as I actually prefer to take my time looking around without being bothered. I found some stickers and ribbon in unique patterns and prints for a creative project I'm working on. Service was friendly as she cut the ribbon for me and rang me up. The purchase process was simple and straightforward. Also, street parking was free and easy less than a block away on a Saturday.
