Cranberry Scoop is my go-to gift shop in Los Altos! From Jelly Cats, to birthday cards, to unique gift finds, I always find something adorable! Also, I loveeeee their new location. It's so much bigger, and the perfect location on Main Street. I also got my gifts wrapped for free! Love this option, saved me so much time.

Love this boutique shop with lots of cute souvenir and gifts for the holidays. We enjoyed wondering around the store looking at the fun Christmas decorations especially the window display.

They recently relocated the store to Main Street from State Street. This is a gift store with very nice quality items.

It's probably the best bet to get a gift that is cute and unique but you want it to lean more towards being western and not too kawaii and anime. Think of gifting a punny keychain or cute Jellycat versus a Chiikawa plushie or anime acrylic if that makes sense. Meaning that it's probably easier and maybe more acceptable to get a slightly more normie a gift here than it is elsewhere. As you can see, I'm learning what it's like to touch grass and re-integrate into human society. There's a good number of plushies, Jellycat and unique ones like a pink fairy armadillo mole one, tote bags and socks, nice range of jewelry, lots of California themed goods if you're looking for souvenirs that aren't mega generic, and they have a lot of other items as well. As with the quality and high regard some of these items have (Jellycats are NOT cheap), it can be a bit pricier, so make sure that you shop around and check prices elsewhere and that you actually truly care about the person you're getting stuff for and it's not a forced obligation one (family member you're ugh with or coworker Secret Santa that you barely know). Maybe a couple cute things I had my eye on, but it wasn't really for me (speaks volumes about me), but I can see how a store like this works in a pinch if you're gift shopping.

But I went in to find a birthday present for a Chinese girlfriend with really good taste in fashion and maybe buy a cute hair clip for myself. "We don't have anything here in your size," she said. I could just tell she was envisioning me ripping the seams out of one of her $180 skirts trying to zip it over my fat ass. I'm well-acquainted giggles and rejection from clothing sales clerks in Thailand, Hong Kong, China, and Japan. But I wasn't expecting it here. Oh well; they lost my business.

They have cute Korean style clothes. The price tags are pretty expensive, but they go on sale after a while, like 50% off. I like many styles there, but sometimes just didn't buy them due to the price. Sometimes they have on-sale items hanging outside the store. $29.99 a piece. I've found great bargains there. Oz Boutique is at the corner of Main and Third in downtown Los Altos. I really prefer shopping in this type of a clothing store over places like Macys or Nordstroms simply because I can find pieces in Oz that I will probably not see on 14 other women I know. Among the many brands the store carries from France and Italy, I the one that is very creative is Aventures des Toiles. I have a few blouses by this designer, and I always receive compliments on them. They are the articles of clothing that I can dress up or down and feel like a million dollars when I wear them. There are several stylish dresses, pants, sweaters, and accessories available at Oz. The only reason that I did not rate the boutique 5 stars is that there always seems to be a lack of sizes larger than 8-10. I am a 12, so hopefully either the buyer will order more 12's or I will time it better to visit the store. I am fan of Oz in any event!

Anyway, as soon as I walked in I was greeted by an extremely courteous and knowledgable employee. The best part was that she was less sales woman, and more my personal buyer/fashion expert! All I had to do was give her some info (I.e. Measurements, favorite designers, and a picture) and she was able to pick out clothes as though my gf was there with me! When I got home and surprised her, I could tell that her "thank you's" and overall excitement was 100% genuine. Especially when she questioned me 3 times on how I knew exactly what to get and wondered if I had taken a female friend to help! Haha Bottom line: this is THE boutique to visit if you're in town and want some high-end European fashion!! :)
