Visited this location for help with packaging questions. The employee assisting me identified himself as "JP" and stated he was the manager. Throughout the interaction, he was dismissive and repeatedly responded with "like I said" instead of clearly answering basic questions about packaging requirements. The interaction felt unprofessional and did not reflect appropriate customer service standards. When I attempted to follow up afterward to obtain proper management or ownership contact information, I was not provided any way to escalate the issue. This location is my absolute FAVORITE and I am so grateful that they exist! I wanted to gatekeep this spot because it's so new, clean, and efficient, but let it be known that this is the BEST UPS store in the area!! Every time I drop in, I'm met by efficient team members who are friendly, fast, and super helpful. Evelyn deserves a huge shout out because she makes me confident that my packages will be delivered without any issues. She is always busy ensuring the place is clean and customers are taken care of - all with a warm smile! I never feel judged or scrutinized by the amount of packages I have with me - unlike how another nearby UPS store does. The wide automatic door is a plus (no more manual entry or fighting to keep the door open when my hands are full with boxes). Proximity to Target is a bonus. And there's generally parking in the front. Who doesn't like to win-win-win! I had a very disappointing experience at this UPS Store with the representative, JD. I went in with a simple question about dropping off a package to a PO Box located at this store. Instead of explaining clearly, JD just told me I couldn't do it and that I had to mail it through USPS. He didn't offer me the option to send it through UPS and couldn't explain the policy. What made it worse was his attitude -- he was rude, unfriendly, and very stand-offish. I've been to many UPS Stores in Union City and Hayward and have never encountered someone so unprofessional. A little customer service training would go a long way here. UPS, you can do better. read more

My service was good but when I went back into the store to ask a question on the receipt the lady was rude and put off by me. She was the only one there (Sat 12/27/25 @ 3:29 PM) but that is no excuce on how she acted and I know she was busy because UPS was there to pickup up a hugh 300 box order. This particular UPS store is in the East Union Landing plaza right near the border of Hayward and Union City. They are right at the entrance by the Starbucks and this is a busy plaza with the gym here. I try to time my visit here to try to get parking right by the front because this is a bit of an awkward plaza to navigate through / park at. Although this location is a bit out of the way from me, I would not mind coming back here for my Amazon returns, instead the usual location I go to, as my experience here was way better. I was actually greeted by the employee and it was a quick process, as there was no line during my visit. Overall good location - just not the best parking / plaza. read more

The female is clueless! Rude to customers but try so hard to sound nasally pleasant. I dont know where the stars came from but a lot made negative comments about her bringing the morale of the store to the ground! If that is the only female, then her name is probably evelyn. I've seen her argue with a customer before and she brushed him off instantly when she realized she was asked not to fold the document or staple them. Several others after that i hear people in line at Starbucks talk about her misjudgment. I agree, it was usually about shutting people off if it doesn't go her way. And sometimes if this is her career path at her late age, it is sad when her personal frustrations are taken on to other people especially with an organization like UPS. The day finally came when i am the one she tried to bark on. Shut me off in the middle of my sentence, raised her nasal voice, because she knew i wasn't backing off. I am one of the many customers who wont return to that store. She drives customers away and after 4 years of running the business, you wonder why they always have a lot of downtime. read more

The bad: * Parking is limited immediately in front of the shop. * Clerks will sometimes chat with you and ignore other customers for upwards of 10 minutes. * Staffing is sometimes inadequate, so if someone needs a Public Notary, then it will cause a long wait time. The sliding door is a nice touch especially for those carrying packages or in my particular situation, carrying and/or holding my little kids lol. I got my kids' passport photos done here. But today is Jason and Brian on duty, I need to do my notary really in rush but Jason told me someone who can help me will be arrive around 4pm and he asked my number said will notice me later. I had a great experience coming to this UPS store for the first time as my usual UPS store was experiencing system issues. Let me just say I was very pleased from the moment of arrival. I had my hands full with 4 packages and did not have to hassle trying to open the door as the doors were automatic sliding entrance doors. When I entered the store I was immediately greeted by the workers and Evelyn immediately assisted me and made sure I had everything taken care of. The customer service here is amazing and I'm glad I came here. The inside is very clean and organized and they offer many different services such as in-store and online printing, document finishing, a mailbox for all of your mail and packages, notary, packing, shipping, and freight services.
