This is a small location like most others, but the employees get the job done with no issues. Because they are reliable for shipping & returns this is my goto location. Can't believe I'm putting a 1* for a ups store but the attendants is needlessly difficult. Asked the gentleman in front of me who was going to run a long transaction if I could return my ready to go item. He graciously accepted. Indeed it took less than 30 seconds to complete but the attendant (guy with a thin beard) said I needed to ask his permission to do that. I told him that the customers worked it out so I didn't think he would mind. He took the package but the attitude was unacceptable. I come to this UPS store quite often and every time, everyone has been friendly and happy to help me in anyway. Especially this wonderful young lady named Helga. She is the BEST! I am 71, I have anxiety when out in public, a total airhead when it comes to the cell phone & I get all nervous, ending up like one of the 3 stooges. But Helga has ALWAYS been so patient and willing to help me when I need it. She's sweet, friendly, and a hard worker. She always makes me feel welcomed.and I greatly appreciate her. My opinion, the workers there, EXPECIALLY Helga, make the Santa Clara UPS the best in the area. I waited in line to send a package out it was a phone. Once I was helped I asked if I can see him package it before I leave because you never know if it got accidentally drop and get sent out I would have to pay for it. So I rather be safe than sorry if that happens. So I was told if I can step aside so he can take care other customers which was like ten people waiting. So I just asked do I have to wait till everyone is done before i get helped again. He said yes so I was upset that I waited line just like everyone else but get push aside because boxing a phone was gonna take long. Which is a lie its only a few minutes. It was probably gonna be another 15 to 20 mins before i get help. Plus more people are gonna come in. Everyone has places to be at, like me. So I asked to talk to a manager which is Rahul or Raul he said yes you have to wait. I explained myself how that's unfair but he didn't care. I've been to this UPS location a good number of times so far and I've had nothing but smooth transactions so far. 1) Amazon returns: I brought my item unpackaged, had my barcode on my phone, and dropped off my item successfully. It was very fast and I got a return confirmation receipt without any trouble. 2) Phone calls: I called the store to get information about their notary service. The woman that answered picked up the call quickly, didn't put me on hold or anything, answered my questions and gave me the information I needed. They seem responsive to phone calls. 3) Notary: They have walk-in notary service on Saturday from 10am to 3pm. I don't know if they have service any other days but I've come here for notary service on 2 separate Saturdays and both times it went smoothly. The notary filled out their section accurately and each signature costs $15. So far I've had no issues at all for the times I've needed to come here. I am confident in their service and will come again next time I need to. read more

They have copy machines and a computer for you to print from if needed. Which is a life saver! I ran out of ink and needed a document printed so I came here for a quick trip. Cost is $2 for one page and $1 for each extra page. Yes it's not cost friendly but hey, when you are in a bind it's great to have the option. read more

I was denied being able to return my Nike product here at 5:00 pm on Monday June because I was told that I need to 26th . I brought in my shoes in the shoe box and I was informed by the lady and man in their that I needed the box the shoe box came in or the would have to charge me for a box . I exited the store to retrieve the other box from the trunk just to be told after I came back to the counter that I would now be charged for the to put 3 maybe 4 stripes of tape on the box . When you walk in there, everybody is just unfriendly. They look bored, they look miserable like they hate their job.... Some of of the workers are reasonably nice, except for the main guy, I guess he's the owner..He is the rudest person, with no personality..he doesn't smile he doesn't say welcome in, he doesn't say thank you, Nada...I will take my business elsewhere... and the cold thing about it is he knows me...as a customer...only because it was convenient to where I lived..not any longer ..They charge alot to fax. They charge alot to print out a label. They charge to use the computer... they tried to charge me $11 for a small box even though I had my item already boxed up..don't ask...I went to my car. I had another box I went back in. ( I tried to go back in) but they locked the door. Evidently they were closed, but I had been standing at the door knocking, he just ignored me... even though there was still a customer in the store ...he would not let me in, he said oh, it's 5:01...and it was like a couple minutes before five ...and he had the audacity to say I had all day to do this.... EXCUSE ME...you don't know what I was doing all day...You don't know anything about me.....jerk... he would not take my package or let me in even though I re-boxed it.... and he has his workers kissing his booty...as it seems.... Oh. I will take my business to postal annex by Safeway. They are so kind in that store...everybody that works there..... friendly, talkative, helpful.... and their prices are great. read more

On several occasions I have come to this store for simple transactions and received push back or outright rejection of business because they do not understand their own policies (today was one of those days). On the same day I would go to another location like the one at 22568 Mission Blvd and they took my package without any problems. I went in for the first time and forgot my packing slip in my box. I had to open my box and asked Raul politely to tape my box shut with the tape gun that was inches from my box. Raul was quick to tell me "store use only and I need to buy tape." I have so much tape at home since I ship boxes EVERYDAY. I just didn't have time to go home and get it. He still wouldn't help a customer out. Thanks to Raul and his unwillingness to go the extra mile for the customer... I went to my normal location on Mission and got my box taped for me and sent out. I'll be driving the extra miles to go to the mission store. Raul lost a customer who would have brought you a lot of business all over 5 inches of tape! Due to COVID the hours have varied. I have called this UPS at least 25 times. They have never answered the phone. Unfortunately it's my closest and most convenient UPS. One time I called continually non stop and decided to call them as I was there. I was the only customer inside and out of the two employees neither picked up the phone! The lady is rude, one time I went she said she can't wait for me to pull up the return label ( I didn't have much service inside) I was trying to pull up my QR code from Amazon. We don't have tape, you can't email them to print something out for you, and the manager Kenneth whatever is rude as h e double hockey sticks! I would have given negative stars if I could! Like so many other people I had a horrible interaction with the older man who works here sometimes! I have been into this location before and the young women who work there can be pleasant and helpful. Save your time, your money and your energy and just take the extra time to go to the UPS store on Mission Blvd. across from Lucky's in downtown Hayward. At this location the older man tossed by tracking paper at me and told me to read the directions before I come in to drop off a package. I was charged about $4.50 because he was unwilling to allow me to use tape to close my box. I then had to ask for tracking slip sleeves which he was irritated that I wanted and instead of being helpful and attaching them to the boxes he told me that was my job and walked away to the back of the store. Mind you there was no one else in the store and it wouldn't have been that difficult for him to be even the slightest helpful or polite. read more

I paid 87 bucks for next day air Wednesday night (unfortunately I missed the UPS pick up by an hour) Ken told my sister that I would have my package by Friday morning (Ken is the OWNER of this store, he should know the shipping process and let customers know of any mishaps that we may encounter) I didn't receive my package until Monday noon. I tracked this package from the time it got to store up until I received it. Long story short, his customer service sucks and all he cares about is making money by selling services that are not guaranteed. I come to this location for a lot of mailing services and I am usually helped by a very nice Hispanic lady, this time I was "helped" by a very rude Asian man who did not know what he was doing and had no sense of customer service. I was instructed by amazon (return) to drop off the packages with or without boxes and to show the return code (QR code) the man got really upset because one package was boxed and the other wasn't, I very kindly explained that I was just following amazon instructions but he just got very angry.
