My package was delivered to wrong apartment, when all the mailboxes have the apartment numbers on them. The manager tracked down the mail man who delivered it and he confirmed it was to the wrong apartment. The manager told me she recommends I go try and get my package back as soon as possible. The neighbors won't give it back I don't understand how it's up to me to fix the issue when they delivered it to the wrong door in the first place. When I asked if I could file any sort of claim the manger claimed it was out of their control. This is unacceptable I'm expected to fix their mess up. read more

they don't even have a voicemail. It is no wonder my order was not forwarded to me! I filed an online change of address form over two months ago. I realized one of my packages was getting sent to my old address. I went ahead and called the us post office only to be assured that I had nothing to worry about and my package would be forwarded this was from the US post of office call center. He said my old post office (Tustin) knew about my address change and that the driver delivering my package would know. Well come to find out my package was delivered to my old house. Then I get a call from the Tustin post office and they are telling me it takes 1 week to process a change of address!? Did she not read my complaint!? I'm so frustrated not only are they not going to reimburse me for the items that I lost but they didn't even take the time to properly take care of my claim! And they called me late at night after they closed so I couldn't even call back!? I know these folks are probably really nice people but dang this is your job! read more

Ty is amazing ! Reading Most of the reviews you would get a negative impression of this particular post office. In my experience most post offices run about the same with similar complaints . The benefits of this post office is that it opens earlier, 8:30-am rather than 9am. It offers passport services, greeting cards and other normal services to be expected, they don't however have the electronic tellers which makes some transactions easier. read more

Went here to get my passport renewed and it honestly wasn't bad. I got there about 30 minutes before my actual passport appointment just in case I had to wait for a while. Since there were no appointments happening, Deborah took me in early and I was able to leave before my appointment was supposed to start! Not the friendliest gal but her service was efficient and quick, all I need for a boring process. My recommendation is to come in when it opens or around 9 AM. Less people and they aren't annoyed by any customers yet, so you'll get friendlier service. read more

What can I say about a post office? Hmmm. Well, they usually (like all post offices I've been to) have long lines near closing time. If you come earlier you can avoid that. I personally like the automated postal center that this post office has, as most people don't use it, it takes the waiting out of it, which is the crappy part about coming after all. When I have needed to go to the counter for something, some of the employees have been fine, others not great (still very typical of a post office)... So basically, this is indeed a post office, If you need to mail stuff than you should come here. ;) read more

I don't think this is particularly the worst post office but I don't understand why they are so rude about their wildly random prices.... I shouldn't feel price gouged at the post office with very inconsistent costs.... why is a package I pay $4.00 for postage at 1oz prepaid and packaged is weighed at the post office to be 1.75oz suddenly I am told I have to pay an additional $4.00? Wtf $8.00 for for a less then 2oz package?? Then the postal worker says well I guess ur right it's only $4.00 to ship but we need to print a new label with the adjusted weight so you need to purchase a new label because USPS doesn't credit for eBay shipping labels..... I just don't understand their price structure it's so inconsistent that I'm starting to use fedex for their more consistent rates and friendlier staff. I get it public service sucks but you don't have to make it worse by being rude and barking orders at people. I read another reviewers post about being separated in line to pick up a package and I too have experienced this they have no explanation for the strange decisions. I'm also not pleased with the way my postal employee jams things in my mail box leaving everything squished and hanging out of the mail box with the door open. But that's a different tale. read more

The customer service at this location quite frankly sucks. It's typical of most post office locations, but depending on the customer service rep it can be HORRIBLE. This is the same post office that lost my 2008 Tax Return payment that was sent certified with return receipt. 90 days later it showed up at the IRS office in San Francisco, but that was after interest, penalties and lot of heartburn thanks to the awful IRS. Today, my experience was miserable. I arrived with a last minute Express Mail package. It was prepaid online and I've never dealt with Express Mail before, so instead of affixing the $33.10 label to the front of the package at home I left it off in case there was additional paperwork to be filled out. (Removed Name), being a fine customer service representative, greeted me very rudely when I asked a simple question "If I leave the package now will it be delivered on Saturday?" He asks- "How do you plan to attach the label to the box?" My response- "Well I would need some tape." He then proceeds to lecture me about how "I'm supposed to bring my own tape and not use their tape." I respect that and you should use your own supplies, but for a "premium" service like Express Mail I expect a bit more. Also, as I explained earlier I wasn't sure if I'd need to fill out additional papers and often times when I'm waiting in the slow line here I have seen them attach a pouch to the front of a package for overnight delivery. Yes, the lecture would've been deserved if I were sending via First Class, Priority Mail or any of the other discounted services, but not for the very expensive "express" mail. I DID NOT appreciate his rudeness and he could've handled the situation in many different ways which would have made me happy. I didn't bother to fight back, because I decided that I'll just go home and tell the world about this experience via Yelp and I used his tape anyways! I'm in this post office almost daily dropping off packages and every single employee that works the counter should recognize me by now and know that I rarely require assistance and I don't use their supplies. Seriously, it's time for the US Post Office to clean house and replenish the ranks with employees who want to deliver good customer service. read more

This post office smells good. Like stamps and Frank and ink and glue. I'm not a glue sniffer. I just like the taste of envelopes. And the smell of Sharpies. Find street parking directly in front. Otherwise you get re-routed through the back streets of Tustin and find yourself buying a taco in East LA. You'll also need a new wheel alignment after braving completely unnecessary speed bumps. Thank you for giving us that automated scale postage machine thing. It helps avoid lunchtime lines. It's a wonder why I continue to come here from time to time. Driving an extra minute or two to get to the UPS in Tustin is always a great visit for me. It's one of those days when I can't explain my actions. After my visit today at the Post Office in Tustin, I will say that it will be my last visit. At least for a very long time-simply because they were incredibly rude. I had gone in this morning to send a package and asked for tape. The lady working the cash register handed me the tape alright....with a look like she'd rather be elsewhere. After handing me my receipt, she didn't thank me or anything. No have a good day-nothing! Natually then, I just left. The funny thing about this is the fact that while I was filling out my label, she was very kind to the two customers before me. First, this post office opens at 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. which is great. Only bad thing is, they do NOT have change for a $20 bill. The way the lady said it was like she was running her own 'lil mom-n-pop store, "any purchase under $10, we don't have change for a $20 bill." That is totally ridiculous! So if I bought like a roll of stamps, then you have change?! I did not want to use my personal money since it was for work, but good thing I had my "$5" bill. So beware, remember to take your debit card. Avoid coming here if you have any problems with your mail. My condo has a tiny mailbox. And with the sheer amount of spam the post office delivers, it easily gets full. This has only happened TWICE in the many years I've been at my address. And when I go over there, they make sure to tell you how inconvenient it is to DO THEIR JOB. Seriously, guys. Do your job. Today, I tried to get a passport processed. When I checked online, there was a time posted for each day. I tried calling, but after multiple times of calling with no answer or voicemail, I thought I'd try my luck (bad idea). When I arrived at the post office, an older lady yelled at me "Only by appointment" When I replied,"Well, I tried calling but no one picks up the phone." Her only response, "appointment". Small town post office???? My little gem in Newport, now that is small town...this is a step away from a big city post office. It is always jammed packed with a lot of people. The line is usually 15-20 deep. The postal workers are not nearly as nice OR as efficient as the ones at my PO in Newport. But sometimes I come here because it is close to the office and I don't have time to go back to Newport before it closes. Most of the customers here don't speak English, which is probably why the line moves so slow. That is actually good for me because the have an automated machine that will do most everything I need in the lobby that no one ever uses because they are afraid of it! Government services are something that can be loathsome, but the Tustin PO has been working to make things better. They have remodeled part of the main office area adding more automated mail machines. When I was in line waiting to buy a book of forever stamps the other day, I noticed there was a sign posted about passports. In the past, I know that only certain PO locations would grant new passports, so I was happy to see this change. I asked about passport renewals, but those you still have to do through the mail and I was guided to the proper form to facilitate the renewal process. The Tustin post office is more like a small town post office. The workers here are very friendly, and while not speedsters they're also not slow. The counters do close promptly at 5pm. There's one automated machine in the lobby and 2 stamp vending machines, but there are never enough Priority/Express Mail envelopes outside. You can access the drive-thru mailboxes around the corner on Prospect, behind the auto/tire shop. Last pick up from the mailboxes are 5pm Mon-Sat. At least it's open on Saturdays until 3pm. read more

Hm, I'm a fan because I've been here before to buy stamps that didn't involve interacting with anyone. In 2013, perhaps before the whole 'make an appointment' passport thing, I took my passport photo and all that and it was very fast. I went in today after driving back and forth from FedEx and UPS with unsealed packages and I was quite disorganized yet organized. I didn't know what to do with what I wanted to ship out. Long story short, thanks Kim who works there for letting me use the tape and giving me media mail rates on all the books I was selling via Amazon. No need to use their boxes, if you can buy cheaper packaging yourself and just tape on the labels, they'll ship your packages for you at the lowest of low! If you are curious, example: you wanted to ship one normal sized book out, it would cost you about $3.22. This may or may not sound like a lot, but this price is a steal. FedEx/UPS will charge you about $10.50. But now I'll be waiting to see if my customers actually get their packages... read more

Also this location has 2 ATM machine that help a lot to run faster, if you know how to use them if not there is an assistance that always can help you with that. read more

This review is not for the post office it self! This review is about Rosemary ( not sure if it gets spelled this way)who works there. I live in Arizona.I had a passport that was bouncing around for 1 1/2 month from post office to post office because the German consult messed something up while sending it. I was going crazy because we are set to move in two month to Germany. Anyways while so many post offices including my post office all failed to look at the address written on the envelope they just Scanned it and threw it into the doesn't belong to us bin! Well Rosemary noticed it and contacted me personally. She tried to call and post notes. She was in contact with me every day to keep me updated. We intercepted the package and waited 2 week to be send to her which did not happen. So I paid $25 dollars for nothing. I also filled a missing package report and that did nothing. I get it's covet 19 but man! Anyways I contacted her after 2 weeks of the package enjoy moving and she again took matters in to her own hands. She tracked down the package daily and again called me every day. She finally got it to stop in my area and was able to get in contact with the manager here. The envelope is suppose to be on the way to my house so fingers x. However without her my package still would be bouncing around. She rocks. Passport Services! Let me preface by saying I rarely go to the post office. I have tried to slow it down in order to have patience enough to wait in a line of 20 people on their lunch hour too, but prefer to do most of my business online these days. Got to the post office about 12:45, surprisingly there were only 2 people in line. What are the chances? This was going to be good! I was prepared with my online form completed as well as having documentation in hand. Michael escorted me to the passport room where he took my photo, had me take the oath and 20 minutes later I was outie. 6 weeks from now I should have my credentials and away I go on vacation. =) read more
