HORRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE Postal Annex #389 is selected as a Certifix Live Scan location. From the moment I walked in the older man didn't seemed as he wasn't pleased to attend to my service. I was very polite from the beginning. He requested info from me on my job application "wired" as I'm not applying for a job through him. I told him "no, the employer broke the step down for me as I ONLY need to provide my email with a valid token number" he got upset and said I need everything in documents form. I kindly declined and told him I'll that my business elsewhere. I have never experienced this type of service from a place that is supposed to be helpful to individuals and the community. Had to ship an item and pay for shipping via USPS.. I didn't want to go to the POffice as it's always packed and such a waste of time. The lady there took care of my package, printed the label etc. It was wonderful! She emailed me the time it shipped to being delivered. She was very accomodating and very sweet. Single handedly the worst customer service experience within a 5 minute period. From approaching the counter to leaving the store, the older gentleman was bluntly rude. My package was shipped here for pick up and I received the confirmation that it was delivered. The older gentleman looked for my package for less than 30 seconds and stated it wasn't here even though I have confirmation it was delivered. He stated that the confirmation was incorrect and I should call to deal with it because it wasn't there. I even tried to show them that I received the text message that it was delivered to this location and he refused to acknowledge it saying that there's a "disconnect" and that it didn't get delivered here. His colleague told him there's another package from this shipping company on the other side of the counter (just out in the open, so literally anyone could take it if they wanted to, and I'm sure they wouldn't claim they're not responsible). He walks over to it, "oh here it is". No apology or anything, just asks me for the confirmation pin. Not only was the service rude, the lack of consideration of safety of the packages just left all over the place is such a security issue. I will never send a package here to be picked up again or recommend to anyone to even waste their time here. read more

Came in to take pictures for my passport. I called quite a few places around town and this was the cheapest I could find. Around $13. There was no wait-time and he let me take the picture as many times as I wanted until I was happy with it. He printed the photos right away. I should've filled out the paperwork before I came to get my pictures done and then I could've mailed it right then and there but I didn't think that far ahead. We came back and he mailed them out via FedEx. One thing I really wish places around orange county would offer for passport pics is a ring light. My sister in the Bay Area took her passport photo at the local UPS and they had a ring light and her photo turned out way better. I would gladly pay more for my passport photo to be taken with a ring light. Pro tip for taking your passport photo: your ears need to show in the photo so plan your hairstyle ahead of time accordingly. read more

We only went here for a notarization but I don't think I would come to this location for any other needs. It looks like it is similar to a post office so I would much rather go to the UPS store nearby. I don't know if notarizing documents is the same fee wherever you go (I am guessing it's up to the discretion of the store) but regardless, either the whole process is a rip off or this store in particular is jacking up the prices. I wanted a piece of paper notarized and I was thinking maybe may 20 bucks. Nope! It was $15 per signature per person! And no discount to just have a second copy of the document notarized. I told him I was worried it would get lost in the mail if I sent the original but it would still have cost me an extra 30 bucks. So 60 bucks total was out of the question. Honestly I almost passed out from the smell of both the store and the store attendant. He had the worst breath I ever encountered. Every time he spoke it was like a wave of nausea. That alone is enough to make me never come back here again. I'll just look for another notary! read more

Update: my item never arrived. I'm not surprised. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that my package will arrive, otherwise my experience was not that good. I wish I could give this place zero stars. I have been a business owner for over 30 years. There's no excuse for being rude and unkind to customers. I came in to do a live scan and I had an account number for billing given to me by the client who is hiring me. Instead of kindly explaining that I needed paper work to confirm the account number, the man was rude and unkind and started yelling at me for not knowing this information. I ended up telling him that's not how you treat customers. There's no excuse for being rude, unkind and raising your voice to people who don't understand what's needed. People who are not respectful or kind to the very people who are paying their rent, should not have a business!! Please go anywhere else but this place!!! read more

Do Not Ship Your Packages From Here!!!! Postal Annex on 17 th st lost my package and the aftermath was ridiculous!! Was told I'll get a Call Back - of course I didn't ... when I called the next day and asked why I didn't get a call back about my lost package, owner said because he doesn't show that the package has any return movement so there was no point to call me??!!! What in the world!!!! I dropped off package there... they gave no receipt and then tracking shows it never left their store!!! Then owner figured he doesn't need to relay that info to me in a call back! He told me to go back to store and have them fix this situation!!??? What??!!! Package never left his store!! Absolutely no customer service... owner is clueless and or negligent in handling packages!!! Do not ship from there unless you want to have your packages missing!!!! I walked in today and there were multiple signs that masks were required. I had mine on but the lady behind the counter did not! I stood there for 3 minutes while she was on the phone and was never acknowledged. When she finally got off the phone I told her I have a fed ex drop off and she pointed at the bag in my hand and yelled at me that I could not drop it off. It was a Covid test kit from the county that was in 4 bags and sealed and I was told by fed ex that I could drop it off at this location. She was the rudest women ever and she kept saying no no no In broken English that I can't drop it off. I am telling everyone in my area DO NOT do business here not to mention when I walked in I couldn't tell if I was in a dirty flower shop, garage sale gift items or what. He was rude and kept insisting that he needed to keep my document for record which never happened last time when doing a live scan. Charges you to print a copy of your own document even though that the original copy was never handed back to me. The hours of this location are not as posted. I stood out front of the store from 8:25am until 8:45am this morning and no one was inside. I would advise customers to call prior to driving to this location for actual operation hours. I assume they opened at 9am, but I was late for work and could not wait any longer. This place is nothing but accommodating and delightful. They do get busy though so expect a short line. Owner is the main employee and is very friendly. Prices are competitive and they have every service you could ever need. @Taylor P. 's 1 star review: that was all your fault dude. You chose to print pictures a second time even after they asked if the picture was OK. Of course they'll charge you again, it's called overhead. This great little place does it all. You can get any box and packing supplies you may need and you can send your package by FedEx, UPS, or regular mail. They will even print the shipping label. You can also get a key made, have something laminated, make copies, send a fax and pick up a new magnet for your fridge. I would rather come here than the post office any day. read more

I just attempted to have a passport renewed at this subpar establishment. I say attempted because I elected not to complete the transaction due to the poor service. The worker, who appeared to be the owner/franchisee rushed thru the process of taking the passport photo. He asked if the photo was okay and I reluctantly said yes since I didn't want to hold up the line. As I filled out the passport application, I decided I could not accept the photo, so I waited in line and asked if I could retake it. The woman, who appeared to be the first worker's wife told me they would have to charge me for 2 photo sets since they had already printed the first set. I expressed disappointment in the photos and the male worker said "you only have to look at it a few times a year" to which I said that I travel a lot. Since it was obvious they were more concerned about charging me a measly $10.98 than having a satisfied customer, I went ahead and paid for the photos I had no intention of using. This is the first negative Yelp review I have written; I simply wish to inform others of the poor service I received. read more
