    That line though.... Like most people, I hate the post office. It's always a long wait, and it's super boring to have to go there. It's one of those adulting things that I just don't look forward to. My husband and I did this DNA kit for our puppy and the only way we could ship it was by usps. So, off to the dreaded post office I went. Even on a weekday, around 2pm, it was still crazy busy. The line took forever. But, I got the package mailed off. Done!

    They NEVER answer the phone. NEVER. It just rings and rings. Then it cuts the line. EVERY SINGLE TIME!

    I have shipped packages here recently. They are steady and get deiiveries mailed on time. Service is ok, and I'd probably come again.

    Right when it's open, there is already a line. The staff are busy and I'm sure they stay busy all…read moreday. I usually use the self service kiosk for mailing packages and skip the lines. Using the flat rate boxes makes it easy to weight and get labels made on the machine. I am not a fan of the increased prices, but that's everywhere now. This is like any typical post office, pretty clean, and boxes are stocked. I didn't interact with any staff. They looked pretty friendly while helping other customers.

Likes: + I like that I can pick up small mail here without having to talk to anyone. + They help mail out your passport renewal application. + When I needed help reviewing my passport renewal application, the nice lady willingly helped review all my paperwork. I am grateful for her patience and kindness. Non-likes: - They open kinda late on weekdays, at 8:30am. - There is often a long, slow line. - They used to leave the front door unlocked overnight. Not anymore... - When I needed help tracking my lost packages, the managers basically ignored me. - Crowded parking. Some folks may park right next to you when many other spots are still open, hindering your access. - I don't know why they suddenly removed my name from my PO BOX, giving me a big hassle. I had to repeatedly visit this post office to set things right so I can receive mail again. Oh bother.

About 40 years ago I remember going in another area for this service and that why I was asking. I remember that being in the south east end of the building not inside the general post office. He rudely said get in line for questions. He was sitting alone at the desk and we made eye contact. He could have said yes, get in line for that, but the shortness was not needed of his reply he said it twice like I was an idiot. lol, then I got in line where he motioned me to go and it turns out that was the front of the line and I was at the back of the line when I first asked him. After I walked back and forth in the Post office and finally got to the correct place in line making a scene because he wasn't quite about anything so neither was I. The same guy J.T. Called my name out for the passport renewal. I just laughed and said it was my lucky day and that was me! He didn't need to make it so difficult and rude. This carried out during the entire process of the paperwork. He had to leave for a second to make a copy and the other poster worker next to him was having a lovely conversation about Boston with a family. I wish I got him. The postal manager of this branch should put Someone else in charge of this service. Most people are excited to get this process done because it means they are going out of the country for most times something fun. JT shouldn't be the guy doing this service because he just can't keep his mouth shut and goes into his personal political beliefs.

Receipt doesn't have name unfortunately it just says clerk 19 lol it's an older Asian lady with glasses but I could hear the younger Asian lady with glasses two windows down asking how someone's day is going. Sure, my tiny package was $17 to ship out so value is still cheaper than sending via UPS or FedEx. All in all still the most affordable way to send things through the mail.

My purpose was dropping off some military care packages overseas for the "FIRST TIME". I had my custom forms already printed, and just needed to attach them which she prompted me to do. One thing I had noticed was how curt she was with our interaction but that wasn't an issue, I understand we're all busy. But after her directing me to attach the customs forms, as I was working on that in the office I noticed when other customers asked her questions or asked for assistance, she rolled her eyes and would just say "oh my god". Rude af. Whatever- so I go back to her to drop off the packages after attaching the customs form and she takes my packages and just prints me out a tracking. I leave but as I'm walking out I realize that I hadn't had to pay postage which confused me since I I never paid online with the customs form- it just gave me an estimate based on my package info and weight . I didn't want to risk having the shipment sent back or destroyed because of unpaid postage so I go back inside and ask her about it. That's when she gives me the nastiest attitude and says "why didn't you tell me that first" and I said "that's why I'm asking you and double checking right now?" And she just proceeds to roll her eyes and basically scold me for not letting her know- but isn't it your job to make sure these packages are paid for (?) I'm generally patient as someone who also works in a customer facing job, but this was extremely frustrating and I tell her "like I had prefaced I had the customs forms printed, but in no way did I ever say I prepaid for my labels? Also I also said this was my first time sending packages overseas to a military member and you would think you would care to double check since this is your job?" Mind you up to this point I had been nice with our interactions and genuinely just curious and wanting to take the correct steps but Nhu was just extremely judgmental and acting like she didn't want to help. Only until I had asked for her name, and a huge line of people started to form behind me did she finally switch her attitude. Unfortunately at the end of this I wasn't even able to ship my packages because of a zip code issue. I ended up going to a different usps afterwards for better help with this issue. That should tell you how welcome the public is at this facility. The few times I've had to visit this location I've been the ONLY customer in there and I've never had a pleasant experience. Today was no different. I asked if they had certain stamps and the woman behind the counter acted as if I had just asked her the dumbest question on the planet. How dare I assume the post office would have stamps, that the post office produces....to actually sell to me??? Then I handed her the prepaid/preposted box I was there to drop off and she had the audacity to ask me what was inside the box. What in the actual heck is that about? My mailman doesn't ask me what's inside a box when I schedule a pick up from my house and the drop off area at the Sunflower post office isn't even manned so they aren't asking anyone what's in the boxes they're dropping off. I truly don't understand why the woman who works at this post office is so miserable and petulant. She should work in back and not be up front because customer service is NOT in her skillset.

She was fun, cheerful, efficient, and awesome! She joked alittle, and I loved it. I wish all the tellers knew their stuff like her, and made the atmosphere more enjoyable. An older lady got really cranky/upset with her and I watched the whole thing play out. IMO, the customer seemed dead set on being a hater of this employee. Anyhow, if only all employees could be more like Elaine, I'd enjoy waiting in line and coming in more! (We had a package we missed delivery on, so had to come get it.)     I went to the Santa Ana Post Office at approximately 4:40 p.m., before their posted closing time of…read more5:00 p.m. There were only two employees working at the counter: a man and a woman wearing a red vest. I picked up a form and politely asked the woman if it was the correct form for an international shipment. Instead of responding professionally, she loudly stated, "We don't do them at this time," in a way that everyone in the lobby could hear. She did not apologize or offer any assistance. She then said there were only 10 minutes left until closing, even though it was still before 5:00 p.m. and there were only five people ahead of me in line. A few minutes later, she again announced that they do not process international shipments near closing time, claiming that it takes more than five minutes. She then went to lock the side door and came back to me while I was still waiting in line. She repeated that they would not process my international shipment because they were about to close. I told her that I had already heard her say that multiple times and that I simply needed to pay for the envelope. She continued to insist that I did not need to pay for the envelope instead of addressing my concerns or offering any solution. What was most frustrating was that after 5:00 p.m., several additional customers were still allowed to enter the post office. In fact, as I was leaving, four more people walked in, and there was a line extending out the door. I do not understand why I was refused service for an international shipment when I arrived before closing and other customers were still being allowed into the building. I found the employee's tone and behavior unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude. I believe customers who arrive before closing should be treated respectfully and provided with clear, courteous explanations regarding any service limitations.
