This is my favorite post office to the point that I moved and I still drive here to drop stuff off! This is the only post office I've been where the workers actually care. Keith is my numero uno helping me with packages all the time and Tina, the supervisor, was so helpful when I had an issue with a package not being forwarded and I thought lost forever, she took my number and said she would call. I held out hope, but also I know people get busy and it was a holiday weekend, but lo and behold, she called first thing when usps opened again. I went to USPS to ship some last-minute Christmas gifts, and the associates were incredibly nice and helpful. I had a big package going to Arkansas, and they helped me figure out the cheapest way to ship it. In the end, it was only around $45, which is really affordable considering the size of the package. Absolutely awful service. I would rather go to the dmv 30 times before walking back into this establishment. The men were absolutely disrespectful towards me & called me sensitive. Very impressed! Today I went into this post office. It was right about 2 pm on a Saturday. Juan assisted me. He was efficient, polite and generous with his time. Unlike some other post offices, this person was super courteous. He even stayed a little after closing to get my package out. He did not rush me out the door. These people were so sweet and experienced at their jobs. I went in to fill out a passport application (which I had never done before) and the man helping me walked me gently through the whole process. I've recently encountered an unexpected experience with the postman at the Adams location. Had mail on hold while I was out and picked the all mail will be delivered by the mailman the next of the held mail ended. That's not the case. I've ended up picking my mail. There's a package that was not brought out to me at the time. I had to make another trip for pickup. It took awhile before someone brought out my package. When I asked why wasn't part of my first time pickup. No one can provide a good reason to justify why I need to make the trip twice!!! read more

Go to any other post office. Always a long wait and the employees are consistently rude to everyone. When I went this morning, a customer waiting for a passport got yelled at by staff for literally no reason. Another employee tossed some tape at me and then ignored me for the rest of the interaction when I asked what to do. It was slow so fine I get it there isn't anything to do but no need to be rude and unwelcoming. It's a smaller, older post office that's very basic. If you have the normal needs and don't mind a no frills post office, then this one is fine. I was in and out in 5 min at almost noon on a Wednesday so that's nice in itself when it comes to the average wait time. The parking lot is tight in the front so I would pull towards the back unless you want to risk having your car dinged up. read more

Worst passport service This gentlemen which I don't remember his name was ThE WORST! We went there for our baby's passport and on their website they said they do pictures but didn't specify if they dont do infants. This gentlemen didn't know how to take a picture to save his life. He didn't know how to operate the camera and took his sweet time pressing the freaking button to capture the photo. Imagine having to deal with his slowness and a fussy baby at the same time. He would take the picture and say is good and then take us outside to only tell us we need to retake the photo. He did this to us 3 times because her head was cut off in the picture. I asked him if he had a template or knew where the boundaries were in the screen before he captured the photo and he responded by saying i"f you don't like it go somewhere else". I responded by saying " you're the expert and I am paying you to do this so I shouldn't be able to trust you to do your job". Anyhow he took an ugly awkward photo which I am 100% sure will be rejected by the passport processing center. Bottom line don't go here for passport related work read more

The 2-3 I've dealt with over the last several years have such shitty attitudes and they act like they're the smartest people in the room. I had to go there twice yesterday for a package issue and it was the same crap as always! It's so easy to be nice to people especially when you're in the customer service business but they have no concept of that! THEY ALL NEED TO BE SENT BACK FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING!!!!! I've frequented this post office on and off for about 10 years. As opposed to the one on Atlanta Ave by my office. I like this one much better as the line moves much quicker, they're more professional and make fewer mistakes. The post office at Atlanta Ave. is absolutely comically slow, the old men there fully "perve" on all the women and it's a sh---show basically. This post office is in & out and you don't have to watch a bunch of octogenarians go goo goo every time a woman comes to their counter. read more

I got a little something on Amazon for my Momo (good standing brain-trust and framily member). I majorly dropped the ball on her address (she recently moved). I contacted Amazon -- no help. I contacted the 3rd party seller -- no help. I thought all hope was lost..... I live in Sacramento -- Momo lives in Costa Mesa but had no idea this package was coming. The package I had sent was lost in Costa Mesa by my own mistake and I am too far away to do anything about it. As a last ditch effort -- I reached out to the Costa Mesa US Postal Service Team and they SAVED THE DAY! The USPS Office (special shoutout to Jenifer) went above and beyond to make me feel like my package mattered. They made me feel like I mattered. It would have been all too easy to write-off as a mistake I made but individuals stepped up to help me out. This USPS Team cares about what they do! Momo got the Radiohead record I sent her.... All in all, it wouldn't be a big deal if that package got lost and never got delivered. But I truly appreciated the Costa Mesa USPS Team's effort -- they weren't just delivering mail.... they were helping me connect with someone I love and miss. They took that job seriously. read more

So rude and unhelpful. Came to send a package back and the man working wouldn't accept it because the package wasn't taped at the end. Apparently they won't let you use any tape or help you and I had to PURCHASE an ENTIRE roll of tape to tape the end shut and the label on. They constantly misdeliver mail that contains sensitive information! Even after initiating an investigation to find my mail, it cannot be found without a tracking number. Seems that continual misdeliveries are to prompt a certified mail fee to insure mail is actually received. Mail carriers nor mail sorters of this government owned business simply do not care about doing their jobs accurately and it's very disappointing! Sadly I can no longer trust the United States Postal Service because of the 3 separate days that I have had 3 pieces of mail stolen that had monetary value. I have had Informed delivery for the past 4-5 years now and every day I received an email of items that I am suppose to find in my mailbox. I have not had a problem till this last month. The straw that broke the camels back was last week a friend that lives in Newport Coast who kindly sent me a Birthday card with a nice gift card in it. When I received the email that day I was excited to get it but unfortunately it was stolen by who I believe is the mail carrier that substituted for my regular carrier. I called the office on Adams at least 3 times where men answer the phone and I was laughed at, lied too and hung up on. I talked to my regular carrier and all he would say was sorry. He didn't offer any advice or anything. I believe he knows who did it and is protecting the person. The same with the men that answered the phone. I posted it to Next Door and had many people tell me about their mail losses that had money. One person actually had a supervisor show her how the carriers are slitting the envelope to get the money or cards to drop out. After hearing these stories I decided to try one more time to call the usps number and a nice lady picked up and took a full report about the theft. Worst place ever. 'Romin' front clerk was one of a kind. Just a mean and horrible person. If you don't know the answers you should NEVER give any false once just to brush me off. After seeing my Package is out for delivery, I was waiting at home patiently. After a few hours it said address was incomplete therefore wasn't going to be delivered and sent back to sender. After calling the 800 number I was told they missed my unit nr. But I have a chance to get it if I go to this location and ask for it with prof of ID. I was told to call this location first and I did... 11 times and twice somebody picked up just to hang up on me right away. So I did the same the following morning. Called and called with no luck. So I made some time to go before work and I end up with this 'Romin' man. My day couldn't get any worst I thought. After showing him my tracking nr and my ID that he didn't want to even look at he said it was shipped back already. I asked can you take a look I have been calling yesterday and today. And he says no, there I no more. After explaining everything he still kept telling me call the 800 nr or the sender. I said I already did I'm just trying to get it now before it makes it back. With the supervisor right nest to him who kept looking over but trying to not get involved. I at this point couldn't stop from getting upset. But always kept my calm. I asked please just take a look you haven't even checked my tracking nr or anything. That's when he decided to talk over me and said let me get your ID. Writes it down and leaves to the back. But I don't think he knew I could see him just stand next to the wall shaking his head. He comes back and said no. Nothing there and with no hesitation said NEXT. This location lost my forwarding form TWICE. Packages have been badly handled that I never complain about cause I know how it is. And it never matters how badly I need some help, somehow I am the bad guy for asking. My spouse was a supervisor at a different USPS location and said it should never be this bad. I don't think people know how stressful it is for our mail carriers. My husband is a mail carrier & they have been working 12 hour days. I feel like they need our support because they don't get much from their supervisors. Amazon is using the post office to deliver their boxes. A USPS driver rear ended my car. My car was parked in a parking lot. A parking lot that is for a mechanic shop. We called to speak with TORT (their transportation department) and all they actually did was talk around our questions, made excuses and then hung up on. Workers need to slow down and treat individuals like individuals and not like we are all the same. I don't work at the post office or hardly ship anything so a little slow breakdown on what first class, priority, regular, etc means is definitely appreciated (I was trying to get a letter to someone asap and wanted to know my options.) But instead, the worker explains rushed and fast (with no line behind me) and I don't really know what option was which and so I ended up paying .60 cents to mail my letter regular mail when I had a roll of stamps in my purse.
