HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I went in with my dad to get some forms notarized. The young man that was helping us out was very rude and unprofessional. I went with my dad because his English was not very good. Once I translated something for my dad, the young man said "figured" and walked away. I felt so disrespected.. I was then helped my the manager who was very friendly. My star goes to the manager who was great! Never coming back to this location.. I am filing a complaint regarding an unjustified fee charged at one of your stores. After UPS failed to deliver my package and returned it without offering pickup options, the sender re-shipped it to a UPS Store so I could collect it after work. The store charged me $20 just to accept the package, despite the shipping already being fully paid. I have never experienced a carrier charging customers to pick up their own shipments. This fee is unreasonable and was not disclosed beforehand. I am requesting a refund of the $20 and clarification on why customers are charged to retrieve packages that UPS failed to deliver properly. read more

Always easy to get in and out of, not much to say, solid run business, never had a problem.

Always super efficient and friendly! The reserved parking out front is super clutch too. If you already have labeled packages and don't need a receipt, you can leave packages on the corner on the right if there's a long line. I always appreciate that. read more

I've been going to this UPS store location for a couple of years. I used to use the one on Newport and 19th all the time but the customer service at the Baker/Harbor one is just outstanding!! The manager is really on top of it and all of the staff are notaries. I'm especially impressed by Kim and Cindy. They recognize me by name, are super knowledgeable and helpful. Bad customer service. Took a large box with already a return label from Amazon and they refused to take it because of the size when Amazon said it was okay and was ready to go but the employee there said they could not take it because of the size and there was not going to be room in there truck for it and was going to cost them more since there a franchise location. Okay well your UPS so therefore you take UPS returns correct? Bad customer service told me to take it to another location or call for a pick up. Honestly I think he just didn't want to carry or move the box. I frequently use this location and they took the door stop off the door. I'm using a dolly for big packages. This is a huge inconvenience. Staff has said "it broke" and they have said "we removed it because after hours customers left it open." To me, it seems like the reason they removed it was because it was hot and they don't like to get up and close the door if a customer leaves it open. All I know is everyone who comes in with their hands full would appreciate it if they reinstalled the door prop lock feature. read more

This review is for the Notary services only. I wish I could give them more stars, but honestly, I think my boyfriends mom knew more about the way documents should go more than the notary girl. I asked her a few questions about the signature and what should the document should say and she just kept saying "just sign there, that's fine". I think they need some retraining soon. read more

I informed him before that I had my own supplies in the car & he told me to just bring in the bubble wrap ... & then charged 3 dollars more for tape that's very frustrating. Monica at this store..... OH MY GOSH! She was thee most HELPFUL, considerate, hard worker I have ever met. I brought in my keyboard to be boxed up because I am moving to Alaska. It probably took her almost an hour to box up this nightmare. Bubble wrapped, had to cut boxes to make the keyboard fit, and the helped me bring it back to my car. Plot twist.... After all of that The box DID NOT FIT IN MY CAR. She brought it back in the store, cut down the box even more to make it fit so I didn't have to pay the $500 to ship it to Alaska. They recently changed their policy to print and I was charged $2.11 to print out one page (shipping label) for a USPS priority package drop off! Dear George, Can I just say what an amazing crew you had working today. I came in to drop off some packages and get a mailbox rental. Melvin was so sweet, patient, and just overall great attitude while helping with the mailbox, but JD was such a team player in helping out the 8-10 customers that all decided to come in at the same time. Both smiling, quick and super helpful and kind to every customer. I love that they remember to thank each customer and didn't rush them along. I told Melvin to go ahead and get the line down and he could come back and help me. It was my fault that I didn't mention a coupon I had earlier I worked retail for 12 years then worked at Walgreens as a pharmacist for 5 years. It is hard to find such positive attitude when everything is chaotic. These two gentlemen are rock stars! Look forward to coming by and seeing their smiling faces when I pick up my mail. read more

It's important that this particular UPS store on Harbor & Baker in Costa Mesa, and Kimberly in particular, gets a proper shout out :) Kimberly demonstrated FIVE STAR :) customer service and created an excellent experience when I needed notary services and shipping for vital legal documents. The store was very busy but the entire staff kept customer service flowing efficiently and with a smile; when I approached Kimberly her warm smile and incredibly efficient demeanor got me in and out of the store in a very short time, with great guidance per my transaction and I really appreciate that approach. Having my own small business and having worked retail somewhat over the years, where customer engagement is concerned, good, but increasingly rare, is great customer engagement therefore I appreciate it even more... practice "The Golden Rule" with each and every client, customer and transaction. Proper engagement being vital to businesses, whether small or large, it matters when people receive recognition for jobs well done (instead of just negative feedback). Especially in this day & age of social media where lots of bad interactions are featured, it seems much more beneficial to put the spotlight on great people doing good & great things for others. That may sound old-fashioned but it's true and Kimberly is a gem and a true asset to her team & UPS as a whole.
