Every time I bring in my project, she advises me with things that help me tremendously in the process of what I am making . Cynthia T. has this rare combo of being very detail-oriented and deeply insightful. She doesn't just hit print she helps you iterate, refine, and actually improve what you're creating. I walked in with "good enough" and walked out with "far better". Let's be honest--most print department visits are about as exciting as watching a loading bar. Not here though. I genuinely enjoyed every moment, which feels illegal for an errand. I've said this before most businesses like this, especially chain businesses. Do a great job of making everything accessible. Staples is one of those places where I always know where everything is at when I walk through the door. For the most part, unless they are short-staffed, there is a variety of people to help you out to find anything you need. This particular Staples was my go-to when I lived in Southern California, I did not expect to stop by here again, but yet here I am, as I was in need of a refill cartridge for my ballpoint pen that a friend had given me. I wasn't quite sure which one it was so I did ask for help on the floor and within minutes someone came around to ask how they could help. I appreciate the friendliness, and the willingness to help. I found my exact cartridge for my ink pen and was super stoked to find a combo pack which dropped the price down significantly. If you're in Costa Mesa and you need any sort of office supply, you can imagine Staples would be the place to go. The store is neat and clean, well stocked, and has people there who actually enjoy what they do. Bottom line? Mind you I'm coming from Irvine because there Amazon system was acting up so basically I had to go to this store where 2 employees were very unprofessional. NEVER buy a laptop from Staples!!! They resell returned and dead laptops. We purchased a laptop using Staples Rewards that were expiring. Since we did not need the laptop immediately, we just placed it in our closet. When we needed the laptop, upon opening it, we found a note that stated, "D.O.A. No image, and no image on external display either" (see pictures). When we called, they said the return policy was 14 days, or we could contact HP and claim a one-year warranty. We asked how they could sell a dead-on-arrival laptop. They responded that they didn't know as they didn't open every box. A previous customer must have returned this one, and Staples just resealed the box and resold it. Our mistake was that we didn't open it within 14 days of purchase. We trust that everyone is ethical. I dont like posting negative reviews BUT after the last 4 visits at this staples Everyone needs to know. the employees ignore you much of the time even when you are in line! After about 4 to 5 minutes I start to get their attention. Then they give you attitude! They are slowly working on something else and clearly see you but say nothing. My husband has one of those newfangled work laptops with only one USB port on the side, which worked out well enough until he needed a new keyboard, which then required more ports. We did a bunch of research on which dongle was necessary, then zipped over to this store location to make a purchase. The salesgal was terrific. She asked to see the online web price on my husband's phone, then price-matched it for us. Saved us a decent amount of money. The product works as intended with zero fuss for installation and start-up. We're grateful for her exceptional service. Had to dock a star for not having more than one dongle in stock. In this area, densely populated by homes, apartments, and multistory office buildings plus local colleges and universities, it'd be a smart bet to keep more of these in store. read more

I hate that this is the closest Staples to my office because if you need anything business related and are on a time crunch, this is the worst only option. You would think that since they're a business supply company they would understand that businesses are in need of things in a timely manner. Most of the workers here have adopted an "I don't give a crap I just work here mentality" which is cool but go work at a restaurant or something where your attitude won't affect my ability to get my work done on a deadline. Went here to get my posters laminated and a very responsible, mature woman who seemed to be the head honcho (I'm terrible with names) helped me with my order. My laminations came out quickly and perfectly. She was very courteous and good at her job, said she had been working for Staples for over 10+ years. She had dark hair and wore it in a ponytail. Self Service Copy Service NOT COVID friendly. Copy Print Store continually points you to self service. So you can touch computers everyone else touches. No cleaning between users.
