Was just in this location and asked to use their tape the cashier told me he couldn't allow me to because he will get fired while he had 3 rolls of tape right in front of him... mind you the customer before (female Caucasian) was offered tape and scissors.

The manager (Isaac) of the local post office was forcing me out because he demanded proof (documentation - ID card) of my service dog. He said that my dog required a service vest. He refused to ask me the two legal questions required by law. This resulted in both of us raising our voices in front of staff and customers. He could not tell me what agency issues these identification cards. I told him that under the ADA gov vest or IDs are not required. He refused to let me speak to his supervisor stating that he was the supervisor. Once the complaint is made there's no turning back that bullet: Unfortunately, once discrimination occurs, California law recognizes that harm is done. This is why California law provides a strong penalty that a disabled person can claim against the business in an accessibility lawsuit. Here are some examples of what it means to refuse a service dog: - Denying service altogether - demanding that the dog leave the establishment - Asking too many questions about the service dog - Demanding to see "paperwork," "ID cards," or "medical information" - Redirecting the service dog and handler to another part of the business - Harassing the service dog or its handler - Demanding that the service dog wear a vest with certain words on it If you are a person with disabilities and you have a service animal, stand your ground Refer to ADA.gov or have these violators review the ADA FAQ on the Federal website

The new owners have definitely raised prices which they're nickeling and dime'ing everything on top of what you already pay for. I'm huge on supporting mom and pop but charging for every little thing is excessive. I later realized the ownership has changed, and my experience was very different from what I've been used to in the past. I had my return label ready to go and the box fully packaged, but I had just run out of packing tape and was short one strip across the top -- about 12 inches. In the past, I've always made sure everything was fully taped, and I didn't think one missing strip would be a big issue. Unfortunately, I was told I would be charged for that small piece of tape and that I needed to pay cash. I was also informed that I would have to pay for tape to attach the shipping label as well. Because of this, they refused to accept my package as-is. The interaction left me disappointed. I understand businesses have policies, but the overall experience felt unwelcoming over something so minor. It's unfortunate, as this has long been a staple business in our community. Based on this visit, I won't be returning. I do wanna mention a woman is standing behind me, was also denied help because of few minutes later I saw her at the post office, with the same box that she had in her hands.

I waited until my final day of mailbox service to post this review because I was genuinely…read moreconcerned that raising additional concerns beforehand could negatively affect my ability to access my mail. After more than 10 years as a customer, my mailbox was terminated within hours of sending a professional email simply asking what was going on, how long I should reasonably wait, & trying to understand why employees repeatedly failed to open during posted business hours. During an in person discussion the following day, before hearing my explanation, the owner immediately asked me to hand over my phone, which I declined because it is my personal property. I was not rude. I was trying to access a service I pay for. The timing of that decision speaks for itself. Ironically, the employee later apologized & said he would speak with the owner on my behalf. I have been a mailbox customer for over a decade. Under prior ownership, service was reliable & professional. Since the ownership change, there has been a decline in consistency, communication, professionalism & frequent staff turnover. I gradually found myself coming in less often, grabbing my mail & leaving quickly to avoid unnecessary interaction. Here is my experience: April 14 Arrived at approximately 9:00 AM, their posted opening time. The employee did not arrive until around 9:20 to 9:25 AM. I gave grace. He said he had been involved in an altercation before arriving. April 18 Arrived at opening. Gates were still down. No staff present & customers were waiting. I had to get to work, so I left. Unable to access my mailbox again. April 20 Called to confirm that someone would be present at 9:00 AM the following morning. I was told yes. April 21 Arrived at 9:00 AM, the posted opening time, & waited until 9:45 AM. No one ever showed up. During that time, I watched multiple customers come to the door only to find the business closed. I called & emailed because I needed access to my packages & had planned my morning around their posted hours before work. I was trying to find out how long to wait. The initial email response I received that morning was apologetic. Later that same day, without any further communication from me, the tone shifted completely & I was told to come pick up my mail because my mailbox service was being terminated. April 22 I returned to speak with the owner in person. I approached calmly at 9:00 AM & asked if she had a moment because I wanted to discuss her email from the night before informing me that my mailbox would be closed. I explained that I felt it was unfair because I had simply pointed out that employees were not there & was trying to understand how long I should wait after waiting 45 minutes the day before. Before I could fully explain the situation, the first thing she said was, "Give me your phone." I declined because it is my personal property. During the conversation, I was repeatedly interrupted & not allowed to fully speak. I attempted to provide proof that the employee was not there, but she refused to hear it & continued cutting me off. I was told they can open & close whenever they want, families have emergencies & things happen, I should just keep coming back to check whether they were open, & that I was "harassing employees" for trying to confirm whether someone would be there. For clarity, I have never had any direct exchange with the employee she referenced, nor have I engaged in behavior that could reasonably be considered harassment. My communication was limited to calling & emailing because I did not want to continue waiting outside a closed business without knowing if anyone was coming. When I asked how I should have handled it differently, I was told to keep coming back & check whether they were open. As a paying mailbox customer, that is not a reasonable expectation. Customers rely on posted hours to access their mail. Repeatedly being unable to do so raises serious concerns about reliability & whether the service being provided aligns with what is being advertised. After over 10 years as a customer, I was given a limited period to retrieve & transfer my mail despite being in the middle of a move, receiving packages, traveling & not realistically being able to change all of my mailing information within 30 days. I explained my circumstances & after a long conversation was given 60 days instead. There was also a prior issue in 2024 where my mailbox access was restricted over a late payment. I resolved that payment immediately once I became aware of it, but the handling of that situation also felt unfair. Taken together, these incidents left me feeling that mailbox access can be restricted or terminated very quickly if concerns are raised. This reflects a pattern of unreliable access, inconsistent communication & dismissive handling of customer concerns. If you need dependable access to your mail, especially for anything time sensitive, I would strongly reconsider using this location.
