This review is no regarding the postal workers, they are always great. My problem is how the outside is so unkept. This is the filthiest and dirtiest post office outside I have ever been to. I have been using this post office for over 22 years now and in the last 5 years the outside grounds have gotten worse by the month. There are obviously no gardeners that care for this place. Everything is dead by not watering, nothing gets trimmed, the parking is horrible! The walkway into the post office has not been power washed in years and is filthy. The homeless hang around in the planters and by the entry and leave all there trash and nobody picks it up or asked them to leave. There used to be security outside but no more. Downtown Riverside, Corona, Morono Valley, Lake Elsinore, Temecula, Old Town Temecula Post offices are all green and very clean and eye appealing. In june 2021 my order for compression stockings needed for an air trip was marked "delivered." It was not delivered. I never got the key for the storage box. This has fully destroyed any integrity that postal team may have had in the past. I talked with Tatiana at the PO for 92503 and she wanted me to ask Amazon for my money when it is clear that the "error" of sorting never delivered the key for the stockings to me. This has become a ritual where my mail is delivered to a customer on Abington street that has the same last 3 numbers on their address but an entirely different street (Jordana Circle). My number is 16043 while the other is different, on Abington and, has the last 3 of 043. They continue doing it! read more

This post office has the nicest USPS employees I have ever encountered. I came here to apply for my passport and was in and out within 15 minutes (including having my photo taken and sending some mail). Don't forget to make your appointment online, it makes things go much faster! I have also been here on other occasions when the typical post office rush comes in and the employees are still on top of their game. Depending on when you go, the parking can be tight so minus a star for that. Otherwise, this is my favorite post office. When the line is long, they do a good job of trying to help everyone. The guy with gray hair is my favorite. I ship to my friend in Australia a lot and he taught me that I can send postcards and letters through the kiosk rather than waiting in line. Score! When I missed a delivery that required a signature and there was a long line (thanks to an old man trifling and causing problems) they were quick to help. I like this post office a lot more than any other post office in Riverside! The employees are 9 out of 10 times so kind and patient with me. They apologize for wait times or slow service. It's no problem at all! The passport employee, Chastity, is an absolute angel! I was so anxious and reluctant to do the whole passport process because I thought I would have a bad time like at the DMV. But Chastity was so extremely sweet from the second I walked in the door! Then I went down there and the guy at the window was so rude he started arguing with me. He wouldn't give me his name. All I wanted was help to get my mail. He was terrible. I understand it's the holiday season and we are in the middle of COVID, but many of us just experienced a rude postal worker inside the post office. There was a huge line for the Mail Pick-Up area and no one was answering the bell to inform us they had no one to work the window. So we were all standing in a line for no reason. A nice lady who was cleaning the post office went in the back to find out what was going on. That's how our line ended up moving to the main line. A postal worker came out and spoke very rudely to a woman who was explaining to her that we have all been waiting for 20 min in a line with no help. The postal worker was just so disrespectful and gave us no apology or reassurance to us receiving help. Why am I here today? Because our neighborhood mailboxes were broken into months ago and we still have not received new boxes and so I have to come down here weekly to pick up my mail. I've never had the employees here be anything other than polite, I've gotten to recognize a few and they've always been helpful and polite to me even though I'm sure they're stressed when it's busy. Speaking of busy, if it's feasible they should probably have some more windows open - it's frustrating to see a line 12+ deep and only two windows open. This place is always crowded. The parking lot is a MESS and a death trap, People are always honking and I even saw an accident take place once ! Also, I try to use the drop box after printing postage off the internet, but the drop off box is almost always stuck and never works. When I lived out here, I had to get a P.O. Box in Orange County because this post office lost two of my packages and they were never found. They never even reimbursed me the price of the items. Plus, you will be here in line waiting an hour just to get to that Dutch door to pick up a package. This post office is a joke. There are these two workers an asian man and a bald white guy who are extremely RUDE. it's not my fault they got stuck with a crappy job they don't need to be spilling their anger on to their customers. If you can avoid using this post office, I would advise you do. While I've never had any bad experiences with the employees themselves (except once, see the end of this review), there is just so much else wrong with this post office. Let's start with the first thing you have to deal with, the parking lot. This parking lot is a nightmare, for many reasons. You don't usually have to worry about fighting for spots, but you will occasionally come into the lot and get stuck behind a line of cars because the person in the front of the line is waiting for a spot in the very front. This happens way too often, and if you are trying to back out of your spot, good luck, because the line of cars will have you blocked in for a while. Also, I swear nobody looks out for other cars, whether they are pulling into the lot, or trying to back out. I'm honestly surprised I've never been hit in this parking lot yet. Now, inside the post office. Chances are, the line is going to be really long, and really slow. Customer service is sub-par, I don't recall having a terrible experience dealing with anyone, but nothing really super great either, though I rarely deal with the people working here. If I'm every sending anything out, I always use the kiosks, unless it's international. I've never had any problems with those, and surprisingly, nobody else really uses them, even when there is a long line. Pretty much the only time I ever come here is to check my PO Box, so if I'm dealing with an employee, it's usually to pick up a package that doesn't fit in the box. That being said, they really need to do something about their pickup window. Even if you are second or third in line, it can take FOREVER. Because it's not just the pickup window, it's the complaint window too. And I can't tell you how many times I've gotten stuck behind someone who is complaining because they haven't been getting their mail, or something to that effect. In some cases, the normal line- which will backed up to the lobby area, has gone faster then the pickup line that has 3 people. I've had some other issues with not getting my mail delivered to my PO Box. We have a mail forwarder setup for anything going to our rental to go to the box. They never do this, so anything that goes to the house almost never actually makes it to us (we live in a house that's been divided into separate spaces, and the other people living there would get the mail, and I found out from one of the other tenants that they were notorious for losing it). So when I tell the post office to forward all my mail to my box and they don't, it's a pain. Thankfully, we are moving into our own home soon, and I'll be able to cancel my box and never have to deal with this post office again. Moving on to more issues with having a box here. Now, when something doesn't fit into the box, they will either put it into one of the larger boxes and leave you a key, or leave a blue slip and you have to pick it up at the window. One time we had several packages delivered- and in our box we had one key and two blue slips, and really, all packages would have fit in the box. Also, being someone who works 8-5, it really sucks trying to pick up packages at this post office. If I have a package, I usually have to wait until the next day (as I check it after work), and go during lunch, when it seems this place is the busiest. And as I mentioned earlier, their pickup window can be a nightmare when it's also used as the complaint window. This post office used to be 24 hour, which was great because I could check my box at any time, and if I had to mail something out, I could do so after work. Well, recently they changed that, I'm assuming because homeless people sometime's camp out at night, so now the post office closes at 6:30, and is closed all day on Sundays too, so if I don't have time to swing by on Saturday and I have mail, I have to wait until Monday. It's just hugely inconvenient. I also liked being able to use the kiosks at night to send off packages, so I knew they would be sent out the next day, now I'm unable to do that as they lock up at 6:30. One other thing. Sometime in December, I got a notice in my box for some new services USPS had for box owners. My post office was guaranteed to have at least one of the three. I can't remember what two of them were, but one of them was text message notification whenever you had any mail delivered to your box. This would be extremely helpful, so I wouldn't have to waste my time trying to check it (I've gone 2 weeks without getting anything at times). The paper said to ask an employee how to sign-up for these services, so the next time I went in, I stood in a long line, just so I could ask about getting signed-up. I finally get to the front, and the employee had NO idea what I was talking about. Eventually she just started lying out of her ass, saying it would take affect automatically, and there was no need to sign up. Thank god I'll have no need for this box soon. read more

They will not pay the insurance we paid for it and they will not find out where the package is at. They are not worth a Shit of a post office. read more

This place is terrible... long line which is expected... but every single person who works there that I've dealt with are rude as hell. For example, when I was trying to ship a bigger item there was a person who was checking out the people in line to make sure they are ready to go. Apparently my box was way too big for them to be shipping overnight (I had no idea since I have never shipped internationally before), not only they do NOT tell me while I am waiting in line. I get to the person to be helped finally and she proceeds to tell me I am missing some info so I have to just fill out the missing info and come right back to front of the line. Ok, no problem. I fill it out and stand right back in the front of the line, then some other other employee sees me back in line and says "what do you need?" As he was helping someone else, so I tell him my situation then he proceeds to RUDELY tell me I can just wait for the same employee (mind you he was helping someone already when he told me this and the other employee who was helping me before was helping someone as well). Once again, no problem. I wait in her line.... then as she was helping someone she goes "what are you doing? You can get back to the front of line and I don't necessarily have to wait for her. So I get back to the front of the damn line again... and F my life... same gentleman who told me to go back to her line ends up finishing and starts helping me. He rudely takes the box and looks at my box and measures it and says it is way too big for them to ship it. At this point I am angry... but I stay calm and ask him for assistance on how I can then ship this item and what he recommends. He then pulls out a measuring tape and says "see?? This is way too big, this is how we measure and measurement needs to be smaller than certain size. Do you want me to draw it out for you?" Even though I wanted to tell him to go f@$& himself and I know exactly how to measure, I keep calm and ask him again, "I understand it is too big and measurement needs to be certain size and I understand exactly how to measure, so what do you recommend I do? Do I need to go to fedex because I cannot make this box any smaller?" Then he still proceeds to try to draw a damn picture of how they measure even though I told him already that I understand. I still do not want to be rude so then I ask him again, "should I go ahead and take this to fedex? Because I have never shipped internationally" THEN this is where I lose my damn mind! He says "it will be EXPENSIVE". Then I ask him again... "will they be able to ship it for me?" Then he repeats "it will be LOT more expensive" so then I ask him AGAIN, " can they ship it?" Then he tells me rudely "yes". Then he crumbles the stupid ass little measurement drawing that he insisted on drawing even though I told him I understand exactly how to measure. After wasting my damn time and getting treated like some garbage. I walked out of this place angry. Even though this is the closest location to my house, I will never go back here again. They are not helpful and rude! It's not an overall USPS problem because I have been to other locations like Rancho Cucamonga, Anaheim, and even in LA. They all have been extremely nice and helpful.
