I tried explaining that I was simply following the manufacturer's instructions, but she repeated the same statement in an increasingly rude tone and offered no attempt to understand what I was trying to accomplish. When I asked where an actual UPS hub was located, instead of providing basic customer service, she told me to "Google it on your phone." There is a difference between not being able to help and not wanting to help. I understand if this location couldn't process my return. What I don't understand is the complete lack of professionalism, patience, or courtesy. Customer service isn't just about having the right answer--it's about how you communicate it. A simple explanation and a helpful suggestion would have taken 30 seconds. Instead, I was treated like an inconvenience from the moment I walked in. On this particular occasion, the lines were beyond horrendous! It was as if it were days away from Christmas! They were two equally long lines. One to pick up mail and the other to send out. I must say this location must be poorly led as there was not enough organization to handle the situation. It took 17 minutes to finally get to the counter. But I will say that after my encounter with Mr. Donald, it really made every minute worth waiting. His customer service was extraordinary as he was exemplary and had a million smile that surely changed the atmosphere for me.
