Location 4 stars: Southeast corner of Tampa and Rinaldi, towards the eastern end of the shopping plaza. Convenient parking behind the facility and also on the main lot. With Amazon Fresh gone the parking has become much easier. Before, the main lot was always very packed. Venue 3.5 stars: Smaller location. It can get very busy when they first open up and in mid to late afternoon when the ecommerce guys show up with their many packages :). The service desk does not open until 10 AM which makes it a bit inconvenient. They also close at 3 PM on Saturdays which is also inconvenient, and they are completely closed on Sundays. There is however a self service machine in the lobby that can do most of what you need and you can drop your packages in secure drop boxes. They also have P.O. Boxes for rent. Service 5 stars: Friendly and helpful staff who remember you, greet you and have a nice chat with you. Most of the staff have been there for years. The Bottom Line 4 stars: A much better option for me than driving farther to larger post offices and standing in line longer. The nice staff are also much appreciated! Two post office locations have closed in the SFV. I remembered this location from a while back and took a chance to get stamps. Parking is shared with an Amazon Fresh so can be hectic but plenty of accessible parking. Rolled up to post office and used the lobby kiosk vs standing in line. Inside was well maintained. A little crowded but thats to be expected. Very simple straightforward instructions in how to operate. Got my forever stamps laser printed and they popped right out of the kiosk like a mini Xerox machine. I was surprised by the cute holiday motif of a poinsettia. Laser printer quality was impressive. I hadn't purchased forever stamps in a while and surprised they were 73 cents. I still enjoy mailing Christmas cards. Highly recommend for purchasing stamps. read more

I've been here several times to pick up mail, and packages. So my rating isn't only based on a one time experience. Parking: Tons of parking on either side of the post office. This location is within a plaza, so you can park either in the main parking area, which tends to be busy during the busy hours. Or you can park on the other side, which is limited, but has a back lot as well. Customer Service: Each visit I'm greeted with a friendly hello, and a friendly "bye" or "have a nice day". So right off the bat, experience is positive. They have been able to assist me each time I come in, and successfully provide me the package I am coming by to pick up. I haven't had any lost mail issues with them *knock on wood* don't wan to jinx myself, and future visits. Cleanliness: I haven't experienced any issues with the office being clean, whether inside the main part to pick up a package, or even in the outside (mailbox) area. Recommend: absolutely, regardless if you need help picking up mail/package, buy stamps, buy money order, or ship mail/package out. read more

I can't review the inside inside as I've never used it but I do appreciate the inside - if that makes any sense - is open early. I often use the parcel drop box really early - like before 6:30am - as I go to the gym nearby at f45. From what I gather it's a great post office in a nice location with a lot of parking. read more

Don't be fooled by the lack of any signage or anything for this Post Office. It does exist. I did 2 laps through the lot trying to find any sort of signs of life and found nothing. Finally I parked and just walked into one little corner area and boom. There it was. If it wasn't for Yelp, I never would've known this place was here. It's so hidden. You might think that this would lead to it being a relatively quiet location, but you would be wrong. Apparently enough people know that it is here that the line can easily stretch out the door. I had to fight my way just to get to the drop off slot to mail out all my letters. It's crazy. Having a Post Office is always good. But you need to make sure people know it is there. And then you need to make sure it is large enough that people can actually wait inside should there be a line, not just the first 3 people. read more

I'm a young adult. I generally don't got to the post office very often, so the experience can be kind of confusing and unfamiliar to me. Let me tell you, I love this Post office! The staff (especially Cher) are the sweetest! She makes me smile and laugh. She takes the time to walk through the procedures and guarantees everything is taken care of. The 2 women staffing the counters were very helpful & courteous. They were patient with my questions & didn't rush me when it got busier; they gave me their full attention which I have to say is excellent customer service. Got my packages packed & sent. I also observed them helping other customers in this manner which was nice. It was quiet when I had first come in but a line ended up forming so I assume the earlier you arrive, the faster you can expect to be helped. It's USPS, so going in your expectations are limited to begin with. Place is fairly large, but so hidden. I almost gave up looking for it until i saw a small hallway going into the building, followed the road to find this hidden USPS. At the time of my visit, which was my lunch time and probably USPS employee lunch time as well, there was a decent line of 3-5 people and only one worker. He took his time with each customer which took my entire lunch time. Perhaps it's best to avoid lunch hours for this location. read more

The people that work there are AMAZING!!! from the moment I walked in with questions the African American young lady was just a joy helped with filling out international customs papers was extremely pleasant when finished I came upon Cher that helped me finish my expedition with kindness and smiles. Walked in and had a few boxes to ship. I had tapped the box already, but the tape was a little loose so I asked Jay who works there if you can help me to tap it again and he said no we don't have tape. I've had this post office since 2005. The workers have been the worst kind of creatures on earth. Once I made a complaint against a rude female employee at the desk, they promoted her to be the manager. I've ordered copies of my box key 5 months ago and have not received them. I've received many mails of someone else's while my mails go to someone other boxes. I've complained and nothing changes. The box fee is the highest I've ever paid, the service is the worst. I'm not sure why the postal clerks make it a point to treat patrons the way they do. They look disgruntled that you're even there. This location is no different. Don't ask for tape, don't attempt to borrow a pen without a guilt trip. They make it a point to look for any tiny flaw in packaging, postage, etc and make a huge deal out of it. I always leave feeling like a scolded pet. The employees are supposed to be there to help the customers. A little kindness would go a long way. Just got a PO Box here and the sign says lobby hours are 24-7, so that's the reason I got one there. Then when I tried to pick up my mail the door was locked. Next day I asked them about it and they said "oh yeah it's not open 24 hrs a day anymore because people have been caught sleeping in the lobby after hours". Sooo when we're the going to tell us this? And don't rent the big boxes, it's a waste of money. They aren't that big so if you get a package that's too big for your box, they end up putting a key in your box to get your package from a bigger box anyways. Save your money and just rent the small box. They fooled me into paying $170 every 3 months so now I have to change boxes, which means I have to put on a change of address with a new box number. This post office truly amazes me. I go there this morning with a very important package that needed to be mailed. When I get there, I ask the postal worker if he could give me a few pieces of tape to seal the box. His response? "No! You need to buy it!" he says with a little giggly laugh. I was like, "are you serious!" And he then said, "yeah! I am!" $3.49 for a roll of tape for which I needed only three pieces. The cost wasn't what bothered me but the principle of it. He was a total jerk and the sad truth is that every single employee I have dealt with at this post office are total jerks. They act like they don't want to be there and that, we, as customers, are wasting their time. Today was my first and last time here. I drove around the entire shopping center looking for the post office and it was inside, where there's a KW Office and Across from Nail Garden. It's on the same side as The Joint. When I arrived, I noticed how much smaller it is compared to other branches. Luckily, I only had one person in front of me. I had browsed some of the reviews before coming in but I got my own experience of this branch. The woman that was helping at the counter was by herself but it wasn't busy at all. The lady in front of me was buying stamps and the woman at the counter was rude and impatient. This old woman was simply trying to buy stamps and someone doesn't need to be so mean about it! It was my turn and I was simply dropping off two boxes. This lady takes my boxes and THROWS them into a pile behind her. I know it wasn't labeled fragile but still. She told me there was a person ahead of me and to wait and this man got In line and she told him he was behind me and he ended up cutting me in line and not only did she not tell him anything she was super nice to him and I said excuse me I thought he was behind me and you let him cut... she didn't even apologize she literally kept brushing me off and I kept saying that's not okay and she kept ignoring me. I have been a resident of Porter Ranch since 2012 and this post office has the rudest employees. They were impatient, un accommodating and just want you to leave so they can get over with it. NOT today! To my biggest surprise the 2 employees today both male and female were very nice, extremely accommodating, helpful and patient. The biggest bunch of incompetent people work at this branch. This particular post office opens at 10 am... great hours for incompetent, lazy employees with no customer service. USPS NEEDS TO CLOSE THIS LOCATION, because some people that work there are completely useless, not to mention they are always on their phone, if you ask something they treat you like an idiot. Usually, I write reviews for businesses I want to support. Sometimes, I'll write a negative review - not out of anger - but to help other yelpers and to be impartial. This time, I'm purposely writing because I'm disgusted and furious. It's pointless to write, because it will never change: it's a government agency and I see the same complaints that I'm about to make posted here from YEARS AGO. Disheartening. So I suppose I'm just writing this for me. To vent. And maybe to make super-sure that no yelper ever purposely goes here. By accident, or in the case of a world-ending apocalypse (for shelter, perhaps), okay. But not on purpose. Since I've seen it all said before, let me summarize the problem for you: there is ALWAYS a line here. ALWAYS. There is NEVER more than two employees working the line, and oftentimes only one. That one employee is ALWAYS slow as molasses in the winter and rude to boot. The one shining exception is a clerk named Jose, who hasn't been there recently - maybe the other employees killed him and ate him because they sensed his weakness. Today I came in to mail a package in a bit of a hurry (this was my mistake. There is no such thing as "hurry" in that office). I had the whole thing boxed up and packed and labeled; all I needed was the postage. I figured I'd use the automated kiosk in the lobby because I knew well that a) there'd be a line and b) there'd be one or maybe two employees there and c) they'd all be moving in slow-motion and hating me with their eyes. Well, guess what? The automated kiosk had a sign on it saying "service cancelled." I mean, we can't have customers getting out of here without WAITING IN LINE, can we? And sure enough, there was a 12-person line and one surly employee moving as though she were about 92 years old. I swear that when she saw me, she paused and smiled wickedly and moved slower (not really. She didn't actually notice I was there, or care. As usual). So I took my package and left and I guess I'll just keep it or attach it to five or six pigeons and hope it eventually gets where I want it to go. Or maybe the person I'm trying to send it to will eventually, over the years, come to visit, and I can give it to them then. But it certainly isn't getting to them via the US Mail out of the Porter Ranch Post Office. read more

So far, no problems at all. The staff is polite and helpful. What I have seen is a lot of demanding and rude people walking in here and speak to the staff as if they were servants.
