There was zero line when I walked in, and plenty of parking available right outside--a absolute luxury in the San Fernando Valley. Even with only two employees working the front, I was not greeted as I walked in but I was helped pretty quickly. I was mailing out two packages, and the process was seamless. If you need a label printed, they can easily scan your QR codes at the counter. On top of shipping, they have a great setup with an inside ATM, post office boxes, birthday cards, mailing boxes, and pretty much every shipping supply you could need in one spot. The lady who helped me was incredibly sweet, but had a very thick accent so I had a hard time understanding her. Overall, it was a smooth, easy, and delightful visit. Compared to the crowded Sherman Way location, this post office is night and day--so much quieter and faster. If you're in the Valley and want to skip the usual hassle, I highly recommend coming here instead! I'll definitely be back~~~

Debbie who was available when it was our turn was absolutely AMAZING. She literally took care of us and then some. For someone who's in a business that has to deal with people one on one constantly regardless the mood of the customers. She was top notch. We had some question regarding mail which she totally answered and she even suggested some things to do instead. Plus I had a package that needed to be mail to the uk. Wasn't sure if I was going to but wanted to see what the price for international shipping would be. She took amazing care of us and explained everything nicely and professionally. Employees like her should receive a raise big time. Her energy shine with that amazing smile and professionalism. There was no attitude or self entitlement with her. She was there to do her job and help others. That's exactly what she did and then some. I did end up mailing the package which the price was steep but expected. Also the question we had was answered perfectly and professionally. Sometime the smaller stores tends to be the better option.

The address for this location is 15701 Sherman Way. Van Nuys, CA 91409. Your box number is your unit number. They are able to accept deliveries from UPS and other carriers that previously would not deliver to a PO Box. For the PO Box section, they have extended hours up until 8 PM Monday through Sunday. This is a lot more versatility than before. I had a choice of going with this location or the UPS store and I chose this location because it's closer to the business that I'm starting. Prices are comparable with USPS being just a little cheaper. I think I can easily recommend this location. Edit is still a post office with all the postal services. This location even offers passport services.

I went in to mail a package during a slow time. I greeted and spoke to her - as I greet and speak to everyone- with positivity, kindness, and consideration; however, she was dismissiveness, bitter, and rushed (even though there was no line). It's possible she has worked there for a long time, felt burnt out, and or was having a bad day, but when I saw her being very kind to an older gentlemen next to me - who she seemed to know and or who supposedly comes in often - it became clear she was conditionally nice to him and for whatever reason not to me. Her demeanor was a stain on the environment and my experience. I would encourage the Tarzana Post Office Management to revisit her employment status. In a society where there's a lack of kindness and decency, genuine people are hard to come by; when genuine people themselves are treated with disrespect and unkindness, action then needs to be taken, otherwise the company culture suffers for the other employees and the customers they serve, like me. For those living/visiting the Tarzana/Encino areas, I strongly advise driving further elsewhere to another post office if you want better service - or if you want to keep your joy.

I tried to give this location a chance…read more Be warned: The supervisor at this Woodland Hills Post Office (21200 Oxnard St) is actively violating federal United States Postal Service regulations and denying basic civil rights to vulnerable members of our community. I am an unhoused constituent with a valid, government-issued photo ID. Despite having an active mail hold and an application for a PO Box, the line supervisor at this location explicitly refused to allow me to retrieve mail and packages that have already been delivered here. Her reasoning? She claimed I must provide "proof of a local physical address"--a manufactured requirement that she knows a homeless person cannot fulfill. She then explicitly stated she is executing a "Return to Sender" protocol on my essential incoming packages and property. This is a direct violation of the USPS Postal Operations Manual (POM) Section 508.6.1 and official federal guidelines regarding mail service for the homeless. Federal law states that individuals without a fixed address are completely eligible for free, indefinite General Delivery service, and a matching photo ID is the ONLY legal requirement to pick it up. By fabricating fake address rules, this supervisor is actively obstructing access to the federal mail system and engaging in housing-status discrimination. A formal case has been opened with the Sierra Coastal District Consumer & Industry Affairs Office, an emergency complaint has been filed with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC), and an official federal inquiry is underway through the office of U.S. Congressman Brad Sherman. Station Postmaster Clarissa Bognot needs to immediately retrain her staff, rein in this supervisor, halt the unlawful returning of my property, and bring this branch into compliance with federal DMM and POM postal laws. These workers are efficient and want to get you the help you need. I have been coming here to pickup some packages that missed me, and I have never had a real issue here. I have yet to use their services in terms of sending mail, but I do see that they have a very straightforward system in place for people who are sending mail out. I did have difficulty using the USPS website to reschedule sending a package to my address, but honestly it was much better just going in person to pick up. That is why I don't think technology will ever truly replace us. A person will always be valuable to a company.

Beware of packages that are delivered with a tracking number will vanish. I had a $200 package…read moredelivered to this business with a tracking number and proof of delivery to the front desk on July 26th, 2026. I came in on August 3rd to retrieve my package. The gentleman at the front desk could not locate the package and told me that he would call me when he found it. I did not recieve a call from him, so I called him on August 4th and asked if he had located my package. He said he did not and that he would call me in 10 minutes. It is now August 6th and he has not called me which shows that he has not looked for the package, or he has not found it. Either way, he has not called me with an update. Also be aware that the business hours posted on the door say 9:30am - 5pm. The store was closed an entire day with a sign that says will be back at 9:30am. I paid for a service that this business claims to provide, yet has proven not to provide. When I walked in and saw that other customer packages are sprawled all over the little store in arms reach of any patron who walks in, it tells me that they do not secure packages that do not fit in the mailbox, and anyone can walk in and take your package. I am currently auditing other mailbox services in the area who are more secure and actually provide customer service. This business is not secure and the service is limited.
