While I have visited this particular U.S. Post Office on numerous occasions, I always forget it is located in a Hallmark Shop until I am nearby and think of needing a post office. I have enjoyed the pleasant company of not only the postal worker but also the customers who visit this location. It is small but very handy whether you are mailing something, shipping something, or needing stamps or shipping materials. During my multiple visits to the post office, there were short lines and quick service. On my most recent visit, I was trying to mail something to Canada with tracking, and ironically the lady ahead of me was doing the same thing. We both were mailing items to the same area of the same city. After a brief conversation when no one else was in line yet, it was just the postal worker and me, and he answered my many questions while providing me not only options but also ensured that I knew what the least expensive option was. He had me move over a bit to write out the address on an envelope, and when I messed up on a priority mail envelope, he didn't say anything to me other than suggesting that I start over on a new envelope. One unique thing though happened on the last visit. If I needed to get a manilla envelope, I was sent back to the Hallmark Shop cash register to request it and then to have the post office bill the Hallmark Shop (or the other way around). I then pay at the post office. Strange but if they have a system that works, all the power to them. It must be strange managing the two processes under the same roof. I appreciate having both a post office and Hallmark Shop right near work. It is also helpful to have the ability to stop by here on work lunches or even if I was nearby on a Saturday. The hours of operation are weekdays from 10 AM to 5 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM. It is closed on Sundays. The last hour of collection at this location is 3:30 PM on weekdays and 12 Noon on Saturdays. I look forward to going here again for assistance when I need a post office while working nearby. read more

They got rid of all the competent people a while back. There is frequently only 1 clerk working because the other is doing passports. I had an important package coming, and instead of sending it to me, they sent it to another post office which sent it back to the Distribution Center which caused a three-day delay. read more

The official USPS website says that this location is open on Saturdays for passport application walk ins. We made quite the drive from i17 & McDowell because we work M-F and this location made it so convenient with Saturday availability. WRONG! As soon as we walked in just a crooked white piece of paper saying "No Saturday Passports". Nothing about temporary closures. Nothing about why or how long they aren't available (despite usps.com saying otherwise). We were trying to do this on our way to Flagstaff to visit family, so it was on our route anyway. It just sucks that it didn't indicate when Saturday appointments would be available again. I know I should've snapped a pic but I was annoyed at the time and just stormed out. read more

We deserve better service. USPS hires these contractors who hire unqualified workers who are not consistent with their service. If you are looking to do your passport services don't come during open hours on Saturday . Apparently they take only 12 people at 8am. I came when they "open at 10am" just for them to say they are "booked for the day" on a walk in day. Ridiculous to say the least. Waste of time. All I have to say is absolutely not. I came in to return a package waited in line for about 10 minutes which wasn't bad, and then waited 30 minutes for a return label to print. The poor younger man trying to help me could not get his label machine to work. A woman named Alex would hardly help him. She did not even offer to print my label instead while her printer was working and I was holding my 25 pound baby for 30 minutes just trying to get a label. Finally, another man came out who was middle-aged and started helping another person. I stopped him for a second and asked if he could please help me print my return label since I had been waiting 30 minutes while holding my baby and that was all I needed to do. So he finally scanned my QR code and printed my label. He stuck it on my bag and rudely said "you're supposed to tape this yourself you know so whatever happens, happens." And took my bag. Our household has MANY frustrations with the Daisy Mountain P.O. branch, but I'll share only the four most recent. Yesterday, I realized that we hadn't received Monday's mail, which I knew included at least 10 pieces (we subscribe to Informed Delivery and get morning emails showing us what to expect that day). There were 4 tax notices and other important things--not just junk that we could afford to lose. Because we've previously had our mail delivered to our neighbors' boxes and theirs to ours, that's what I figured had happened again. AND because of this, one neighbor had had the forethought to leave one of their mailbox keys with us before they left Arizona for the summer--very lucky for us because that's exactly where our mail was--in addition to another batch belonging to a family on an entirely different street! And that neighbor's box is supposed to get NOTHING because all their mail is supposed to be forwarded! The previous time this happened, a few weeks ago, none of our neighbors actually had our mail, so I tried calling the branch to report it. I called for 4 days, waiting to get through the phone tree only to be transferred to--a BUSY SIGNAL. For 4 days! So I drove there, a 24-mile round-trip, and stood in line at the window to speak to the branch manager. When I told him my problem, he disappeared for many minutes only to appear with our lost mail--but no explanation of what had happened or when it ever might have been delivered to our box. The man ahead of me in line had had exactly the same complaint--mail regularly being put in the wrong boxes. The manager said that they were aware of the problem and were addressing it. Clearly it has yet to be addressed. Yesterday I saw the same subcontractor delivering mail to our boxes... I don't know if that person has reading problems, or is just in a rush to get gone. We also have huge problems with outgoing mail. On 8/19, I dropped a postage-paid pre-addressed envelope (to our bank in Scottsdale) in the outgoing mail slot. It arrived at the bank on 9/13. It took 3 WEEKS and 4 DAYS to reach the bank--18 miles away. When we need to mail envelopes to the bank's processing center in El Paso (also using pre-addressed, postage-paid envelopes), it takes anywhere from 6 to 14 days to get there. I could drive to El Paso myself in 8 hours. Most frustrating of all is that we're stuck with them and from all reports it appears it's only going to get worse. I just tried calling again (twice), but got the same busy signal. If you also feel a need to complain, please do, but you'll probably have to go and do it in person. Calling is hopeless. read more

Anthem USPO Customer Service nonexistent! We have lived at our new address in the 85086 area code for 2 years now, since moving we've not been real impressed with the Anthem post office. We have our mail box in a bank of boxes so we receive our mail from contracted workers. There have been many occasions where it is very clear to us that these folks just don't care who gets who's mail! We receive on average 3 to 4 pieces of mail A WEEK that don't belong to us! And packages! Maybe we get an orange slip notifying us we have a package, most times not. So very concerning, who's getting our mail? I've lost count of how many packages have been returned of ours that we never knew arrived because we never got an orange slip. This has been a very frustrating problem, we've tried letting the management at Anthem Post Office know about these issues however all our concerns have fallen on deaf ears, we've been told "there is nothing we can do", "this is the process and we have no control or input" to name a few of the excuses. We've been so frustrated with the responses that we've received we even tried reporting the problems we've been having at a federal level via letter and email. We've never received a response. We have been receiving mail from people who live miles away since we've lived here! All we can do is put 'Delivered to wrong address' and put in USPO mail box. Recently we received 11 pieces of mail over a nine day period that contained State & Federal correspondence & checks, several looked like year end business type statements & checks, and 2 looked like retirement statements from Mutual of Omaha. The 3 that we contained checks we hand delivered to address's that were 2.3 miles away and 3.1 miles away, the rest we took to the post office, all had 85086 zip codes. My husband stood in line for 35 minutes, when it was his turn he was meet with a curt "what do you need", he handed her the remaining 9 pieces of mail and explained that we often get mail delivered at our address that has been miss delivered to our mail box by the contracted mail folks. She in turn said "what do you want me to do with these? Imagine my husbands surprise by her rudeness and lack of caring! He explained that there were most likely people waiting for these pieces of mail, and it would be great if the post office could redirect them to their intended recipients, basically do their job! She told him that "she guessed she could take them"!!! Wow!!! Guessed!!! This is not the first time we've experienced a curt reception and rude responses from folks at the Anthem post office. There seems to be a general lack of good Customer Service in our opinion that comes from our encounters over the past two years with the USPO in Anthem. Our overall opinion of the Anthem post office is that there is poor management. Maybe everyone is overworked and they are understaffed, whatever the reason, there is no excuse for people to have to wait in line over a half hour to pick up a package, mail a package or pick up their mail. When a concerned resident spends the time to stand in line and bring mail back to them that they miss delivered, one would think it would be met with at least a 'Thank You' or 'we'll make sure these get to their intended recipients'!!! We dislike making general statements, I'm sure there are some good folks who work there. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be working the customer service counter! read more

I told the lady I would like to purchase a return priority mail for my passport and she gave me a stamp and asked me to put on the envelope. I asked if I can get a tracking number which is important and other people got one. She said no tracking number until the office in LA mail it. I guess he did not figure Phoenix would still have it. Terrible terrible service no wonder people complained about the US post office. If I drove there and dropped it off myself it would have taken me less then 15 hours. You know, I really try to give places the benefit of the doubt. For instance, this post office covers a very large area with tons of households and businesses but some things you would think this Post Office will improve on because of that fact. Yes lines are long as older people in the area don't prefer to use the self serve machine. I have once stood in line for over 30 minutes to mail an international package. The staff is really trying, I can tell. A 2nd or even a 3rd self serve machine could really do them some good and help with the line. The only self-serving machine often has a line and a lot of people need assistance with using it. This Post Office is closed by 4:30 pm. This post office can really benefit from extended hours because of how large of an area this post office serves. The best times where I have gone was around closing time. Sometimes I have a 10-minute wait but nothing like before noon. If you have a package to pick up, avoid going first thing in the morning or go during the weekend. I have seen the line go to the door. I got my passport here also last year and was in and out and less then 20 minutes. Be sure to bring everything you need to apply. Appointments must be made online but sometimes they hold passport fairs where you can walk up and get your passport application done. I won't complain about the post office carriers. They deserve a 1 star but it's not the fault of the actual people working the retail side. read more

Nestled just past the end of the outlet mall is an USPS, who knew! Thanks Yelp, Went Wednesday afternoon and not much of a line at all? Staff were friendly and helpful figuring out best service for the mail I was sending out. Forms are readily available before you get to the counter so that you can complete a form before you get to an agent, I had to deal with the usual bureaucracy as the forms had been replaced and I had to recomplete the form once again that the agent gave me from her secret stash. Guess USPS doesn't have someone to renew old forms on the customer side of the counter! read more

I've use this Post Office for 13 years. Hard not to see a huge difference in customer service this year. It is extraordinarily efficient. Even with packages in the middle of the day at 1 o'clock the waiting time is less than the small sending businesses in the area. And probably 40% less Time there and half the cost for packages to be sent. Everybody there seems happy and their goal seems obvious. They want people to return. read more

Unbelievably poor service. I ordered a package to my house in Desert Hills, and now its being returned to the sender. It said my address was wrong, but I confirmed multiple times that it wasn't. Never got a call that it's at the office or anything, and now I'm not going to have the item in time for what I needed it for. Couldn't reach anyone at the branch over the phone, I've called 6 times since the store opened, no answer. I called the national customer service line, and of course they had no answers for me. This is shameful that we live in the richest country in the world and cant have a single government service that works efficiently. I never have these issues with UPS, DHL, FedEx, and Amazon. We need to close the USPS and sell it off to the private sector, because this is out of control. read more

I was staying at a family member's home near Anthem and needed to mail a package. Ok, so there are US Post Offices everywhere, right? Always on a main drag and easy to find. Well, this one is not. Definitely not a a main drag . . . and certainly not easy to find. Once you look it up on Google, Map Quest, or the USPS website you think "no problem." But . . . it is at the end of a long dead end road across from a walled residential area. It is far enough out on the dead end that you are tempted to turn around several times thinking you are on the wrong street or it can't possibly be way out here . . . .but just keep your foot on the gas pedal and keep trucking along. You will eventually reach your destination on your right. Nice new modern post office. Plenty of parking and as another reviewer said "never has a line." Quite frankly, I think that is because most everyone else gave up and turned around. Customer service reps were not all that friendly either . . . I think they are just plain bored. My post office at home is super busy and the CS reps are smiling and friendly. Lesson learned. Most folks do a much better job when they are busy and have regular interaction with customers. Maybe this will pick up as the area grows . . . perhaps the government needs to put a sign at the end of 43rd and Anthem Way letting folks know that their PO is just down the road a piece? read more

Just waited 30 mins to pick up packages. All 3 people working behind the counter were all working on passports. In that amount of time the line got so long it was in the back corner of the place. This has never been a fast stop but it was horrible today. This office will not drop things off at my house because I live on a dirt road. So when they don't drop it off at the door or the other lock boxes are being used, the don't leave the slip in my mailbox till the Next day. Example "attempted delivery" email sent on day packages are expected to be home, well say Monday. Tuesday I get the slip in my mail box. But Wednesday is the pick up date. Then I have to drive 30 mins to the post office because I live in desert hills. Then I get to wait 30 mins to pick up my package that could have been left at my door if the post person would only drive their 4x4 truck down my clean dirt road. read more

Sent my dad Toilet Paper through this office but did not opt for insurance because contents was fricken TP worth $10. Shipping to N. CA was $26.20. Package never made it and someone between here and there stole the TP. So out -$40 and they can't do anything. Never had a problem before. Insure your TP, lol! read more

There is a lady that is older with short hair and she is the rudest person I have ever encountered in my lifetime. She refused to help me. She harassed and be littled me because I simply needed help sending a piece of mail internationally. She kept telling me to go to the back of the line. She stated there were people that needed to help in line, like I wasn't a person. She refused to answer my questions. She told me there was no manager. Then she wanted me to forcefully pay for something she scanned and I didn't need. Luckily Alex came out and helped me. I literally went to my car and cried after. read more

I recently moved to Anthem and went here to find out which mailbox is associated with my address. They told me they didn't know. Didn't know? They deliver my mail! I was then told to call the locksmith associated with my neighborhood - the locksmith asked why I was calling them when I should get in contact with USPS. Once again the prestigious employees of Daisy Mtn Post Office have manage to raise the bar on poor performance. I guess since management there received an education where they thought the 5th grade was their senior year, one must expect, or more realistically, not expect any type of actual work performance. How is it that 3 items can be ordered and shipped from the same business, with two of those items (larger in size) being shipped utilizing FedEx, and one smaller item being shipped through USPS, and FedEx has no problems delivering in a timely fashion without issue, and Daisy Mtn determines their package is undeliverable??? Why was it not able to be delivered? Well, according to the management it might have been due to a wrong address or illegible address. However, the printed label, was correct and very easy to read, well, if of course one had made to that level of grade school education where they could read and then logically determine that it was an address. Maybe if I can learn more and more, about less and less, everyday, until I know everything about nothing, then I might have what it takes to be an employee of Daisy Mtn Post Office. read more

Although I live just a couple of blocks north of Happy Valley Road and there's a Post Office at the 101 and Behrend, this is my Post Office, 20 miles away behind the Anthem outlet stores. I needed to renew my passport in person and all of the in-town locations were booked out 5-6 weeks. I called this location on a whim and sure enough, they were able to get me in within a week. And then on top of it they called and moved the date up a few more days. The service was professional and efficient, they were ready for me at my schedule time and finished up the application within 15 minutes, it was a very nice experience. Plus it gave me the excuse to stop at my favorite outlet store, Pearl Izumi before I made the trek back home. Great job USPS, I know you don't hear that enough. read more

Never answers the phone and I was supposed to have a package delivered but when I checked to see where my package was it said "package held at post office upon customer request" ????? Didn't even get my mail for the day either. And I DEFINITELY didn't request them to hold my package at a post office 30 minutes away. I had a great experience at this Post Office earlier this week and thought, "I need to Yelp about them!" I would have given them a 5 stars, but its a Post Office... Yes they are slow, they don't have enough staff and everyone's trying to get their Christmas Cards sent all at the same time. But despite these issues, the people that work at this Post Office rock!! The very nice lady that helped me suggested a different way for me to ship my package that was more secure and it saved me some Cha - Ching $$Cash-o-la$$!! Absolutely horrible delivery service from this office. I frequently get packages left that aren't mine and I have to deliver - some 2 miles from my home. I frequently deliver mail to my neighbors put in my box - and they bring my mail to me. I have tried calling the office to alert them, but they feel the phone is an unnecessary appliance and leave it to ring to oblivion.
