The staff here are very unprofessional. I understand you want to enjoy your time at work but when…read morethere is a long line of customers, that should be priority. There were two female clerks upon my arrival and about 7-8 customers ahead of me. A male clerk arrived soon after to assist anyone who is only picking up a package which was one person. During this time these clerks are joking and laughing, mocking someone's pregnancy while taking their sweet time. They were very spread apart from one another so they were practically yelling. Soon after 1 female and 1 male clerk left their stations to who knows where. The girl that was left needs an attitude adjustment. Shes just staring customers up and down like we are inconveniencing her. She can't even say good morning back. No way am I coming back here. I'll stick with UPS. This is part of the reason the USPS market is failing. It's just filled with unprofessional people that do not value their jobs.

During that time, the carrier supervisor, David, patiently took care of my mailings each time I contacted him stating that I had not received my mail that said carrier(s) failed to leave me a note regarding deliveries, and even personally delivered my mail when the carrier didn't do so (so that I didn't have to wait "forever" for it), and also when apt management was less than sprint-y do so so. Just want to give kudos to David the supervisor. And, apt management finally got new better-quality and sturdier mailboxes! (About time...)

If it wasn't for the fact that UPS has specific parking spots for drop offs the parking would be a problem. Yes, a lot of customers come into this store for many reasons. I have not ever have spent more than ten minutes if that to take care of my business. Once you take your package to the counter it goes fast. Of course every time I use UPS is for a return item and I always have the labels ready so I'm always prepared. Their service is fast and they are very helpful as I noticed the young man taking care of an elderly lady and giving her guidance on her package. I could tell she was really appreciative of the help she got from the young man. I will continue to use this one location when I have to. This one particular UPS store is located near 30th Avenue and Peoria Avenue in Phoenix. Like I said busy location but they are quick.

One of the employees actually came out into the waiting area and queried those in line personally about whether they were merely picking up or dropping off a package that already had postage, instructing them to report to the far left window. At the far right was a newer employee who is extremely tall and muscular and friendly. As each customer left his window, he apologized for the wait, as there was a long line. But he works very fast, so the wait is not because of him. The female at the far left pickup window was a little strange. She had a big head bandana and crazy eyes. She had no one at her window and wasn't doing anything, nor was she announcing to newly arrived customers that if they only had a pickup or drop off they could come to her window -- other employees seemed to take on that "heavy mantle" FOR her. She only gave confrontational stares to customers in line, like she wanted to jump over the counter and fight with them for looking at her (probably wondering what her job was). The other employees were working a little slower, but not as slow as PAST longtime employees used to (maybe they finally retired). There used to be a middle aged lady with short spiky hair that worked so slow it was almost impossible to tell if she was moving. Just watching her made me feel like I was going into a coma. Maybe she is finally gone. SHE is the one who always SHOULD have apologized for the wait... Dare I say things are improving slightly over there. At least they had 4 active windows going. I'm curious as to what accounts for their sudden new motivation to actually do the jobs for which they are being handsomely paid... It is in a convenient location with good parking access IF you are going northbound on 7th Avenue. Otherwise you are pretty much SOL.

The staff clearly hate their jobs (when you're…read moreactually able to interact with them), the counter closes earlier than any other post office I know of in phoenix (4:30 on weekdays, but last pickup is 5:00??), and the self-service options are always broken or out of service! I've actually had an attendant come out the door and YELL at me for freeing up the jammed drop box. Oh, I'm sorry -- that was YOUR job and you weren't doing it! I've seen staff empty out the same bin into a collection cart while tossing in boxes and muttering insane SON OF SAM things like "stupid people. What's wrong with people? Ugh!" Things *I* say, but mostly about the STAFF AT THIS POST OFFICE! Today I drove all the way over to ship packages with pre-paid postage knowing the staff wouldn't be present but the self-service box would likely be jammed... didn't even get that far! The ship station was out of printer paper and couldn't print ANY labels. I've seen them without receipt paper before, but this time it was the shipping labels and stamps! Wtf. They literally want to do the least, and they won't even let automation step in by letting customers do their job. I've had no less than 4 cases opened with USPS HQ where they've had to investigate the dumbest problems, and only THEN were they resolved. A missing green card, mail holds that never ended, other lost packages that show up after an agent had to research. Never drive to this post office if you need to ship something with a deadline.
