The staff here are very unprofessional. I understand you want to enjoy your time at work but when there is a long line of customers, that should be priority. There were two female clerks upon my arrival and about 7-8 customers ahead of me. A male clerk arrived soon after to assist anyone who is only picking up a package which was one person. During this time these clerks are joking and laughing, mocking someone's pregnancy while taking their sweet time. They were very spread apart from one another so they were practically yelling. Soon after 1 female and 1 male clerk left their stations to who knows where. The girl that was left needs an attitude adjustment. Shes just staring customers up and down like we are inconveniencing her. She can't even say good morning back. No way am I coming back here. I'll stick with UPS. Service was unnecessarily slow from all employees. I waited in line for 20 minutes to ship a package with only four people in front of me. There were three stations open but two of them were with the same people the entire 20 minutes, doing the same thing as me, just shipping a package, which in my experience takes 1-2 minutes or less. Then two of the workers just left their stations for 5-10 minutes and one of them didn't return and looked like she was going on her break with 17 people in line behind me. I was finally able to get to the register and the cashier didn't even charge me for the mailer they sell in store until I reminded her. I wish I could give this post office zero stars. they are terrible I had a package and in the middle of my transaction the clerk starts reading a personal text then when I called the clerk on it I was told it was an emergency then they refused to serve me and I had to go to the next clerk who only helped me grudgingly and refused to give me the other co workers name. this is typical they have close the entire office because of electrical problems. not one of the people I dealt with has any concept of what it means to work and leave their personal life at home. I waited with my 2 year old daughter in a very long line this morning around 0900. Finally reached the counter and asked about the fingerprinting, the gentleman then asked the other guy working the front with glasses if they still do fingerprints. The guy with the glasses said " not now". Okay I kindly left. Waited in the parking lot to see only a few customers would be in line. I walk back in with my daughter and waited in line, talked with the same gentleman, and he asked the guy in the glasses again, are they doing fingerprints. He said "not now", I said " okay what time should I come back?" He again said " not now" and I let him know it's my second time here, and then he said it's broken I replied, " well you should had led with that", then he gets all mad saying he doesn't know me ( which he doesn't know anyone standing in line) and no one has asked him about fingerprints. Please replay the cameras. I told him I was just here. Anyways this guy is very disrespectful trying to argue and over power his words by being loud infront of my daughter. This place is probably the definition of incompetent. Anyone and everyone I spoke to who had no idea how to answer and sort of questions I would ask and would just dump me off on a supervisor. When with the supervisor they were equally as confused and let me know they would do their best to find my lost mail and I would get a call when they do or get a call to let me know they didn't. Well I didn't receive a call and had to come back down for the third time just to be told they still can't find it. Also don't even bother trying to call in to get any answers because no matter the time or day you call you will not get answer, not actual answers but no one will answer the phone, I tried, six different times. I don't even think I can blame them at this point it's safe to blame the postal system it's self because they obviously aren't properly trained and that is no fault of their own. read more

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation for the staff at the Marivale post office location!!! We needed to do the process to obtain new passports for my two sons. The arrival to the location was very early as we were correctly informed it's recommended to arrive early as they only have a spot for 4 walk-Ins a day. While waiting to be the lucky ones to be granted an opportunity to get our passports processed my husband and I noticed great service being rendered to anyone seeking for help. There was a huge request about passport information to which all the staff were on the same consistency relaying their answers- first come first serve, arrive early, etc. We were helped by a gentleman named Don; it was an awesome start we were called up to the desk at about 12:30 He was very knowledgeable and efficient, giving us advice on how to go about it since we needed to expedite our request. He was super patient with me when I needed to add more information on the application as he said that the more information they have the better! This is less of a rating than it is a warning. Much of my business is conducted via mail. I obtain different, often one of a kind pieces, and put them together to make a specialized custom product. I have now been serviced by this post office for almost one year. To date there have been 8 different mail deliveries that have magically disappeared, usually by being put in someone else's box. You would think they would consider this a problem? Nope. It's me for ever bringing it up. The level of ambivalence towards towards those in the community is astonishing. Yesterday, I went in, as I had 7 times prior this year, and reported their tracking system indicated that my package had been delivered to my mailbox. It had not, it was put in one of my neighbors box. (Just as a touch of background, I live in a single family home neighborhood with in large cluster mailbox.) After reporting the package missing, a supervisor acknowledged the error and told me he was on it and would call me back within the hour. I'd heard this before. It was no surprise when he didn't call me once all day. So I went back in this morning, and a different supervisor said "you must have just not seen it in there." Seriously. Looked me in the eye and told me I missed a package in my own mailbox. And you as a consumer/victim of these arrogant clowns, we have no recourse. No refund. No disciplinary action. Just told to go away. I have lost thousands of dollars, literally, to this group of sloppy, arrogant jerks. It's not difficult to figure out where this kind of attitude and performance comes from. Despite the fact not once have I ever raised my voice, name called or spoken to anyone in a cynical or disrespectful fashion, the supervisor always seems angry at me. Anytime I report an issue, they react like I'm putting them out, like losing a $200 package that cannot be replaced isn't a big deal. Quit whining. Like they can't believe that I'm complaining about this, Like I'm the jerk. And as far as not speaking to someone in a disrespectful tone, don't expect the same courtesy back. I heard one mail employee literally say "F*** your mail" to what appeared to be a destitute African American woman in her 50's. I was at a loss. It's tough to realize that there are entire groups of people servicing the greater public, who just don't give a damn. My honest advice? Don't move to this neighborhood. I am literally being forced to move, I can't take the continual financial losses and dents to what was once a sterling reputation for service. I can only comment in the evening hours, still open hours, but evening. I went to the post office, and oh man was it dark. I'm an not kidding when I say dark either, there wasn't a single light on in the parking lot, we used our brights!! The man walking with his gal had a flashlight, just to get across the parking lot, really?? For a post office, during evening hours, this seemed out of place. Absolutely the worst Customer Service ever. Went in for a "walk in passport". These were to start at 1pm. I walked in at 12:50. Hardly anyone there. Went to the windo w when called. Explained what I needed. Man looked back at the Supervisor and states, " Are we doing walk in passports today"? Don the Supervisor states "We are not doing those today at this time". Made an appointment to get our passports. We arrived at 10:59 am on a Friday and were back in our car by 11:15. We had filled out our applications online prior, printed them out and brought them with us. We took photos there, and the man that helped us showed them to us in case we wanted a redo. The postal office gave wrong information and the phone is always busy. I was trying to get a mail box key and called the post office and gave the address and I was answered that they will deliver the key. Waited for 2 days no key arrived. I personally arrived the post office and told that my address is not being offered the key. It took me 3 hours of drive and missed my work in order to get the key to receive medicine. For the last three years, we have had issues with mail not being deliver in our box for six or more months and no from the Maryvale Post office,Phoenix, AZ -can give us an answer. We have had our box for 33 years and I was told the supervisor will call me,I am still waiting for the supervisor to call and this was a year ago. After several visit to this location for a resolution , a service rep came out and told us they found some of our mail sitting in a bin(WHY???) I could not get and answer, it was not on vacation hold. Currently , we had a shipment from Amazon send to the box and it was delivered June 5th ,2019 according to the tracking information from Amazon and the post office can not tell us where our shipment is. My wife for the second time has had one come through here and both times the driver won't bother to come to our door, we'd know, she's home all day and no one came to the door. They just leave a message in our box that they tried to deliver it when they didn't. You call the office and they can't help you with anything. We were in the process of moving so went in to the Maryvale post office for instructions on how to handle our mail given the difficult situation we were in. The staff were rude on the first visit. Then they lost our mail for over a month. Checks mailed to us were therefore also held up. Every interaction with them was a mess. Finally, nearly three months later, our huuuge stack of old mail came in, even after they swore that they didn't have anything for us. How frustrating! They sent my package straight back to Chicago, didn't give it the three days , I came the next morning to pick it up. I would not be be surprised if they were holding the package while the made up the lie that there was no such address. A postal employee wrote the address on the package. In short, the stole the $15 to mail the package and gave nothing for the money, probably stole the package too! And they cannot understand why we use Fedex for packages these days! I walked into the Maryvale Post Office for my husband and I passport today. We was very pleased with the excellent service we received from the staff. Sabrina and Tiffany was very concerned and Tiffany made special effort to make sure our photos came out correct. The service was quick and all the staff was very knowledgeable of the different services. Thank you for a stress free Saturday Morning experience. My daughter decided to order me a gift for St Valentine Day, so we compared prices and order the item, we was given a tracking number and day that it would be delivered so we was tracking and watchful because the item was a little pricey. I received a text message that the item had just been delivered. I asked my daughter to check outside and for the package immediately because there was five adults home, nobody heard a knock at the door and our dog didn't bark as she normally do when someone is at our door. We called this post office to report that no package was delivered. My daughter was told that because it was coming from China the Maryvale Post Office couldn't guarantee the delivery. I accidentally called the wrong office and got a very quick and kind response. They tell me I have to call this hell hole. There's a terrible automated service that doesn't have an option I need so now I have a wait time of 30 minutes. Why am I calling them you may ask? Because they keep sending me someone else's mail even though I've filled out their little form of who lives here THREE times. And they still can't even spell my name correctly. Our mail box is constantly being shoved full due to the high amount of mail the past 4 owners get on top of our incoming mail. So sick of this. I couldn't get my textbooks because of all of this. I sent a certified letter and this post office lost it. It was sent out February 3. When I tracked it, it says still out for delivery as of February 5. I've called the office twice since and got told both times "we'll look into it and let a supervisor know." I had not heard back and took it upon myself to come to the office in person, where I spoke with a supervisor named Steve. He stated the letter isn't lost however, today is February 14th and there has been no activity or updates as of the 5th. It does not take a genius to realize that this letter is lost...I expressed to him the urgency of this letter and why it needs to be delivered. I then told him can I send out another one, and not get charged again. He then goes "well it ain't free" which I then told him I paid for a service and the service wasn't done. He said he will follow up with and call me back tomorrow. Which is today and of course no call back, as they are now closed. I wouldn't have been upset if he would of took ownership of the situation, as well as his lack of customer service skills. read more
