I had to call six times today (11/05/24). 2:36 PM call: Call was disconnected. 2:39 PM call: I heard someone pick up the phone and put it back down. 2:40 PM call: Brenda finally answered, but as I began to tell her my problem, she hung up on me. 2:41 PM call: Call was disconnected. 3:03 PM call: Brenda helped me with my request, which was incredibly quick for her to do. 3:06 PM call: Brenda answered follow-up questions and, after verifying my information, gave me the phone number of the post office overseeing the zip code of the address to which my package was being sent. It's ridiculous to wait over five minutes just to get disconnected, and the fact that both answered calls are three minutes long attests to how easy my request was to complete. This could've easily been a five-star experience because she truly helped me, but the constant hanging up and disconnecting calls is a pain. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I am at USPS at this time and my box was not sent to Brazil, because the employee Nick said that Medium size box can not be sent. This is not true I send boxes every week, larger sizes and never had problems. The box send in USPS Glendale... note that the box was sent by another USPS and no employee declined. this is absurd !!!

Self-service is great! Tip: Remember that self-service only takes credit card and so your Greenbacks don't work. You can get stamps, small, flexible packages and letters sent using self-service. Silly me, it was Columbus Day, so the counter service was not opened. I will have to go back tomorrow to post my big package.

Update: Please see the photos I uploaded so you can see what you get when you let this place…read morepackage and ship something for you. This is an expensive Mackenzie Child's statue that was in perfect shape when I dropped it off. This is how it arrived. Broken and cracked! Let me start with the good.. The woman who works here (Margo) packaged up a very awkward statue that I sold on Ebay and charged me a fair price to do so. That is all the good. DO NOT do business with this place!! The bad.. This place reeks of cigarettes when you walk in almost to the point where you cant breathe. It smelled like this both days I had to go in this building. I went in a few days ago and asked for help packaging an item to mail and having her ship it for me. She said "I have 17 packages to deal with before I can get to this so it definitely won't be today but I can have it done by tomorrow morning". I hesitantly agreed but regretted it by the time I got back home. Fast forward to the next morning.. I show up right after they have opened and she says "Oh I haven't finished your package yet. I'm working on some other things but that will be next". I said the lady I sold it to is waiting for the tracking number and she needs the statue before the 18th for her mother's birthday present so I really need it done. She says she will have it done in maybe an hour so I leave and drive back home again. An hour or so later as I am about to drive back over to the place she calls to let me know it is finished. I have now wasted half my day driving back and forth to this place. I go back in and pay for it and am told they don't give physical tracking numbers and it is all digital and I will be mailed the tracking number but assures me it should be there by Saturday or Monday the 18th the latest which is fine. I go home and keep checking my email and finally get a tracking number over an hour later. Initially the tracking says it will be there by Saturday. Today I got an email from the customer I sold to on ebay saying she will now not be getting the package until Tuesday the 19th. The day after her mom's birthday. This was one of the worst mailing experiences I have ever had. This place should close down!!!

Never been to this post office before, but I had no choice as it's the closest one near work…read more Popped in during lunch to send off a little surprise to a good friend on the East Coast. There's a little gas station that's closer to me, but the USPS drop off inside didn't have the small priority boxes. This is a pretty large post office. There are tons of P.O. boxes. They did have self-service machine where you can handle most transactions yourself, but I was disappointed that the send package option was not currently working. That's pretty much the only reason I dropped a star. Rich seemed to be the only employee working the counter at the time, but he was quick and got us out in no time. There were 5 of us in line. When it was my turn, he asked the usual questions about the box I was mailing (any liquids perishables, etc.) and then asked if I wanted to purchase a book of stamps. I politely declined but was curious to know how much a single stamp is nowadays (I haven't sent snail mail in a loooooong time)!! He said the current rate is $.78 per stamp and that there's talk about the price hiking up to ninety-something cents in the future. Yikes!!! I remember when they were a quarter each!! My, how times have changed... Anyway, I'd definitely return to this Scottsdale location. There's a good size parking lot outside although I can imagine it getting packed during the holidays. 4 solid stars!

If loyalty points existed for post offices, I'd be platinum by now…read more Listen... support your local post office, people. I walked in today and found myself behind at least a dozen humans who all had that same "I swear this will be quick" look on their face. And yet? The staff up front.. same guys, every time... were absolute zen masters holding the line together with patience, courtesy, and a level of customer-service stamina I honestly think deserves a medal or at least a parade. This place moved to its current location ages ago (I still call it "the new one," don't judge me), but the energy has stayed the same: friendly, calm, efficient, and somehow unbothered by the fact that we all show up with the most chaotic mail situations imaginable. I walked in with a stack of envelopes, addressed to everyone..., and the gentleman helping me (I ought to know his name by now) didn't so much as double blink. Different recipients, same address? Weird postage situations? Random questions? Not a single sign of irritation. Not even the micro-eye-twitch. Nothing. Professionals. I've had to call, I've had to come in for issues, I've even had the occasional "address forwarding plot twist," but these folks always handle everything with kindness and actual problem-solving skills. Competitors who? I trust my postal guys. Always have. This isn't my assigned post office anymore, but guess what? I'm still loyal. Because when you find a place that treats you right, listens, holds space for your mailing disasters, and sends your chaos into the world with a smile.... you keep coming back. Five stars. Ten if Yelp would let me.
