Honestly no idea why they even have a phone, if they refuse to actually use it. I've called 6 times now in the past 3 business days with no answer. This is my "assigned" post office but it's 30 minutes out of the way. I should be able to call them for a quick question and not have to drive that far away to just get an answer, not even for actual services. Ended up just getting a refund on my package and claiming it as lost since they can't answer the phone to help me locate it. I don't think anyone ever expects to enjoy the post office, but a bit more customer service would go a long ways here. read more

One of the worst post offices I've ever had to deal with. I'm currently still waiting for a magazine subscription and gift that came with it... which I subscribed to in September 2023. Same thing happened 6 years ago, too. A couple of months ago, I had a problem not getting some of the books I ordered. The problem was that the mail carrier was delivering my books to the wrong mailbox. I've lived at the SAME apartment complex for 12 years!?! I may end up having to do what I did years ago and get in contact with a local T.V. station's investigator to find out where my magazines are...again, smh. read more

I don't get how they can be so slow. Theres always a bit of a line, but it takes forever. Relative to other offices they are the slowest.

Needed help with a package with tracking issues. They could tell too something was off about it and politely and professionally explained it was designated as "return to sender." It wasn't what I wanted to hear, but they did their job professionally. This has been my post office for 3 years and I've never had any problems with them and they handle issues calmly. The facility doesn't have many (3) customer counters, so if the line is long you are going to wait, but it isn't because the workers are slow. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service from their operators. Rude, smug, and "we did everything we were supposed to do." attitude. No, you didn't. I tracked my package, and YOU said it would be delivered Monday- I knew it needed a signature. I took a day off because it was important. Did it arrive? No. No updates until the next morning which said it would NOW be delivered Wednesday. You delivered it while I was at work on Wednesday. When I called and asked if the driver could re-deliver it after I was home, I was told he was done for the day... it was 4 pm. They are supposed to deliver up to 9 pm. Not our post office. Now I MUST wait another day... there is NO way for me to get MY package. read more

If you wish to witness the most unprofessional and unimpressive assortment of human beings you have ever encountered, take a trip to this post office. Tip number 1. One of the primary supervisors is an incompetent old short Hispanic guy with a goatee. He is about as articulate as a three year old, and is the epitome of a standardized lazy government employee. Plain and simple: if you are speaking to him, just realize before you start that he does not care one bit and is only listening enough to know when you have stopped talking, at which time he will tell you there is nothing he can do for you. It then does not come as a surprise that his employees are also emboldened in their embrace of the mediocrity that exists there, under his leadership. Tip number 2. If you are ever in line and find yourself 'next' in line, and the first clerk to come available is a Curley haired female with a name tag that says "RUTH" on it, let the person behind you go in front of you, and wait for the next one to come available. There is nothing she can help you with. That is not a joke, this theory has been tested about a dozen times. She is unintelligible, demeaning, snide, and above all, completely incompetent; she will not achieve whatever task you ask her to complete, and you will leave frustrated. Tip number 3. Don't expect them to give you your mail on time. They often lose it, but don't you worry, at some point a month or two down the road it'll turn up; unless Ruth throws it in the trash can. If you had a package delivered there, don't expect to be able to pick it up within 48 hours of its delivery, and accept the fact that it may be damaged when they finally get around to smashing it in order to make it fit into your PO BOX, even (maybe even especially) if the box says "fragile". If professionalism is what you seek, you will not find it at this location. read more

I've been here a few times, and every time the customer service is not only disappointing, but hurtful. The worker was rude and snapped. I got married only a few months ago and am still awaiting my new licenses... the last names didn't match between my ID and the package... that's in me. Although, it was the worker who had a bad tone and attitude. I was so disappointed at this worker. Here's what I absolutely loathe about this location: Like most of you, I work a full-time job. I don't have time to get to local businesses during "normal" business hours during the week. I rely on running my errands on the weekends and in the evenings. I can use the automated kiosk here at the post office when the normal window isn't open and there aren't any employees that can assist me. I can get the priority mail supplies right there, use the automated kiosk and ship my parcels. The problem is the drop box where you put your parcels after they're paid for and stamped is always locked. It's always locked. It's never open. What in the f*ck is the point of allowing me to purchase stamps and shipment labels during NON-business hours if the drop box is locked? That means I STILL need to return to this location to physically hand off my parcels to an employee. For the love of all that is holy and good, if you're going to allow me into the lobby during NON-business hours to use your automated kiosk to purchase shipment labels for the flat-rate Priority Mail boxes - then PLEASE let me drop them in the drop box!!!!! Why in the f*ck is this always locked??? So today (Sunday, Dec.15, 2019) I have a small shit ton of parcels to mail. I go to this location and the Priority Mail supplies are completely wiped out. I mean, there's not even so much as a Priority Mail label lying around. Every size of Priority Mail box is gone. The shelves are bare. Labels are gone. Boxes are gone. Nothing is there. The drop box is predictably also locked per usual [insert roll eyes emoji here] I don't think my mail delivery comes from this location, but I'm going to mention this as well to drive my point home. Let's say I live at 1234 Main Street and my neighbor adjacent to me lives at 1234 Oak St. Despite us living on two streets and even though our houses are about 200 feet away, I ALWAYS get my neighbor's mail and he always gets mine. Packages are always dropped in the wrong neighborhood cluster box and I've filed three claims with the USPS over the course of the last three weeks. It's a complete free for all and as a consumer, I have absolutely no recourse. Would you like to know why? ...because no one at the USPS is held accountable. If I fail to uphold my end of the bargain where I work and I continue making mistake after mistake after error after error, I'd eventually be terminated. Evidently, that isn't the case with the USPS. They can f*ck up as many times as they'd like and we, as consumers, can do absolutely nothing about it. It's isn't as though we can choose another carrier to deliver our First Class mail. We have one option and that option, my friends, royally f*cking sucks. We need a private organization to come in (like, for example, Amazon Mail Service anyone?), terminate every employee from the janitor up to every Postmaster General camped out on this government tit and start over from the ground up. Level this entire organization and begin something new, refined and professional. The USPS (like most of our U.S. Government branches and subsidiaries) are a total waste of space incapable of placing an envelope in the correct mail box. It's a task and a very simple set of directions that any 3-year old would be capable of if you asked them. Unfortunately, the USPS has demonstrated their failing capabilities time and time again. Absolutely The Worst customer service. Especially from the manager! Very arrogant and rude. We had an issue with the online system trying to get our PO Box paid that we've had for 25 years. We've never been laid on a payment. the system kept kicking back the payment saying if it wasn't paid by the 10th they were going to close it. We paid it on the 10th had proof of the renewal. They closed our box and returned our mail supposedly on the 11th which was a Sunday. My husband went in to try to straighten it out and was humiliated in front of everyone in the lobby by this manager saying that's what happens when you don't pay your bill he tried to show him the proof they didn't Care, they wouldn't go to the back to try to retrieve our mail even though I know it wasn't returned that fast especially on that being a Sunday this was Monday morning when my husband went in. It's so upsetting to be treated like trash from the Postal Service after having a PO Box for 25 years and being talked to like that in front of other patrons we won't be renewing our box and will never use this post office again. read more

Had a bad experiece at the Emile Zola Peoria post office. Called and talked with supervisor named Joseph. I couldn't get a word in. Joseph would not listen to the complaint and kept talking over me very aggressively. For some reason Joseph went on a tangent saying condescending things about a clerk named Jeff. I don't know Jeff and don't care to hear about Josephs work grievance's. Joseph did not resolve my issue and was explosive and sarcastic. He also blamed unresolved circumstance on the post master. I asked to speak with her and he said she had left already. Joseph should NOT be dealing with customers. He has bad customer service skills. Not ever going back to this shady post office. My go to place to mail packages. I get packages from all the vendors and also have used others in the past. The Post Office is less expensive as far as I have found. They have never lost or damaged a package I have sent or received. Not the story with the other vendors. I will keep using them for this reason alone. Now about this office. Everyone has always been very helpful and make suggestions as to how to get the package to its destination for the least amount of monies. I especially like the flat rate boxes. read more

It's a post office so with that being said depending on the time of year you go will determine their attitudes. I was surprised to have gone over the Christmas holidays to have been taken care of by a bubbly and spirited young woman. My guess is that she was either a new or seasonal hire and not yet jaded or full of angst that seems to occur with working for this establishment over a lengthy period of time. She was the recipient of the 3 stars the rest are for her coworkers the grim faces and unwelcoming personalities leave you feeling you are putting them out doing their jobs. I find myself having to drop packages here for the wife most of the time when she sells items on the web luckily they are prepaid and I just have to drop and go. read more

Whatever happened to getting your mail in a timely manner? They knew what kind of climate they were working in here! I am so sick of the carrier at this post office that fiddle farts around and always, ALWAYS, delivers our mail later and later every time HE (yes it is a "carrier" that must be close to retirement) gets stuck on our route! 1900-1930 hours at times before we get our mail! Doesn't matter if you get it sent out in time to get delivered when they say because it will always show up days later. Amazon should be in charge of sending mail there would be absolutely no delay. When I send something and I'm told a certain day and time I expect it. Every time I send something I tell my self I should have just driven cross country myself and still get back home before the package would have been delivered. Pathetic. Beware. These folks either don't know how to do their job or just don't care. Brought a box in mail, the lady had me write the address on the SIDE of the box and she put the address label on the side edge of the box. After three weeks the box was returned to me b/c an old address label was on TOP of the box. She couldn't be bothered to cover it up, like they do at the UPS store or just black it out with a marker. They won't refund my money and say it's my fault I didn't cross out the old address label. They are only willing to reship the package which I no longer need. To top it all off this particular clerk, named in some of reviews, has a horrible, snotty attitude. I believe postal workers understand that they are untouchable and can't get fired. The moral of this story, go to the UPS store. The do a great job. read more

Received notification from Amazon that my order was delivered? No package in the mailbox, nor outside the door? Our mail usually comes around 4p. The notification came at 10am. I thought maybe it was a special delivery. The 4pm mail arrived and no package again. I contacted USPS instead of Amazon immediately in case the item was stolen, via email. The gentleman from the Post Office called me immediately. He explained to me that the tracking # was to a totally different Peoria address. I contacted the Amazon private seller and she refunded the money immediately without question. I found out from the Post Office that there is a scam going on. Sellers scan an item twice and use the tracking # for more than one item, going to the same city. One person gets the item and the other is out of luck. Glad I contacted the Postal Service because the item showed delivered and Amazon would have saw the same thing with the tracking number, if I would have contacted Amazon instead of the seller. I looked at the seller's ratings and she has multiple poor reviews because of wrong tracking numbers. Surprised she's still a seller. Thank you, USPS. read more

Can one employee bring an establishment to a 1 star rating? Yes! "Jeff" is consistently there and so service is constantly poor. It seems as if he is super irritable every time we are in there. Passes judgement when his suggestions (of helpful options with shipping/ price) aren't taken. Also I notice his coworker is more "by the book" with asking the normal questions about a package. I had to go to the store --spent 2 hours , met with the manager and gave her Tracking number of my package --she could not find any information--that right there tells you how useless this office is and the problem starts from the manager and supervisor. I am giving them one star only because zero is not an option. My daughter ordered glasses from a company who sent them via good ole snail mail. We tracked the delivery on their web site and the day they were supposed to be delivered they posted that the customer had ask for the package to be held at the post office for them to pick up (we did not do this). We live no where near the Post Office and their is no was we would have ask for this to happen. You can't call them, as they never answer the phone, their is no way to respond on their tracking site and when we did get to a voice mail about the package they sent us to a totally different Post Office where they said the package was. That was a lie, we got there no package and someone at that location said they do that all the time because my home is closer to that location than the one actually has the package so that is what they tell people. Brilliant plan on their part. I am sorry to say that our USPS is the most inept branch of the US Government I would be surprised if they could find their butts with the use of both hands, a road map and a guide. the only think I can say positive is the poor people working at the counters, not their fault that the idiots running the place are in fact idiots. read more

A very important package that I had ordered to be delivered to my daughter-in-law in Peoria was misdirected to a Tempe post office instead. Not only did it have the wrong zip code but also the wrong street number. I was in a panic. I was told to go to any Peoria P O and perhaps they could help. I went to the 85381 post office (the correct zip code on the package should have been 85382) I talked to Tina who took all the information and said she would try to track down the package. This was Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday morning Tina called and said they had found the package and it would be delivered on Thursday. It was delivered on Thursday much to my great relief. I can't say enough about the great customer service that Tina provided. read more

I called to check the status of my medication that was delivered to my old address and should have been forwarded to my new address, but wasn't. I spoke with Nate last week who told me that he would have the carrier retrieve the package and forward it to my new address; however, the package was returned to the sender and now I have to wait another week to get it. read more
