Its one of the busiest US post office. I stopped by weekend and line was pretty long. It was only one employee behind the counter and one of the customer was so talkative...So probably she was one of the local and employee knew her. She didnt care we were in line, but the employee apologized for the wait time. Such a sweet gesture! I had my notary seal and needed certified mail. I ended up paying around $7 and it was much cheaper than UPS so value wise was in cheaper side! There is also a parking lot outside so we didnt struggle for parking even though it was busy. read more

I've come here a couple of times, but just to drop off some mail. I've been inside to drop off my mail into the drop slot. I've never been to the counter, so I can't say how the customer service is. Several spaces for free parking. read more

The personnel are good but how is it they have taken out every trash can inside so trash is just left on the counters AND the drive through mail box has been closed for years. Other locations still have functional drive through. It's just a miserable place now- typical government poorly run facility. read more

Time to shut this place down and start fresh. The staff here perfectly embodies the worst of government-run businesses -- acting as if having to serve customers is the greatest hardship of their day. The attitude is consistently rude, dismissive, and shockingly negligent. Good luck shipping a package using the self-service kiosk in the lobby. It is frequently out of order, but that's not the big problem. The parcel drop box has been out of order for weeks now. People having started writing nasty messages on the paper saying it's out of order. read more

First i would like to say that i usually have a good experience at this location. Went there yesterday before 5:30 which is when it closes. There was a line that went out the office door. I stood on line for 10 minutes and there were 5others in line behind me. An employee I have never seen before opened the door and said the post office was closed. The time was still before 5:30 and he did acknowledge that fact. He refused to let those of us standing in line into the post office even though it was before closing time. They don't even open on time. Many people work and only limited time to come here but they don't even respect customer's time. Their business hours are already ridiculous to begin with. So limited hours so obviously those employees are not willing to work. Like any other post office, they r too lazy and slow. read more

The only reason why I stroll into this place is to mail my Reddit Gift Exchanges out here. Though, with that being said.. Make sure you ask for the young married Armenian dude. Going into a Post Office is probably people's 2nd most unfavorable thing to do: the DMV being number one. Who needs the long lines, the snippy postal clerks, the stench of body odor or the never ending questions of someone asking about sending a christmas present to New Zealand? But this branch of the USPS seems to be devoid of all of this rigmarole: at least now during these sad times. It does kind of calm people down, doesn't it...me included? Because we are all now pretty much holed up in our homes in various forms of sequestration, going to the P.O. was actually an adventure to which i actually looked forward. I mean it gets me out of the house and is not a grocery store in which i am continually perplexed. I mean "there are no food or supply shortages" is really starting to irritate me. If so why are the shelves so bare of those items we need to make it through this Pandemic? Ok, enough of that. I ventured into this pleasant post office on upper Verdugo/Foothill and was happy that there were places to park in the narrow lot as well as on the side street. I was warmly greeted by the postal people and completed my business quickly due to their pleasant nature and good service. This office is a lot smaller and older than say the office on lower Verdugo but it is also cleaner and is peopled by a good group of employees. There is also a pleasant, warm and fuzzy feeling that i get from entering this unit. I mean where else can you buy sheets of stamps, mail a package to friends and family and do it mano a mano? It's sad to think that it will not be very long that this whole, personal system of mail will probably go away as in services that are now only memories: milk delivery, Helms bakery truck delivery that brought us cakes, cookies, bread on a twice daily basis? and on and on. I will definitely use this office when i have post office needs and crave the personal touch. We all need the warm and fuzzy about now. Cheers! read more

Don't expect a lot from this post office. The clerks in the front lobby are very friendly and will go the extra mile for you. That's the good news. The bad news is that if you open a PO Box here you'll be lucky to get your packages on time - or they might even lose your package! This happened to me last month ( May 2018) and now I'm out $30 . Just the other day I was given a key to one of their bins only to find an important package addressed to somebody else! The guys working in the back sorting are either tired or they simply don't care. One morning Amazon advised me I had a large package there. I arrived to find it punctured and damaged. After waiting to speak with the manager, she said it probably got damaged during the trip from Glendale post office by mistake! Absolutely enraged by their irresponsibility. This is the second time they misdelivered my package. I followed the postman to ask for my package and he said he doesn't have it, but 5 minutes later I get a email notification that the package was delivered. I DID NOT GET ANY DELIVERY. When I called the office one of the employee kept on repeating "it was delivered " and hung up the phone on me. This is frustrating because NOTHING Is being done. No justice at all. I am writing this for my mother-in-law who is elderly and has no computer. "I actually give them minus 50 stars!!!! Constantly getting other peoples mail (Who's getting mine?!?!?!?!?), No mail for days (I've never not gotten mail!!!!), mailman/mailwoman just crams everything in mail box to where I can't even get the mail out AND if it was me, if there was a small package, I would check to see if it was anything like medication or vitamins, chocolate or something that common sense would let you know that it should NOT be out in the HOT mail box, are they too lazy to bring it to the door?!?!?!? I would give 0 star or less for this post office. I recently went on a vacation and requested stop mail and they delivered my package anyways. When I called the manager who said would call me back never called back. And after not hearing from her I had to call again. First I was told that it was scan but was not delivered. She(other worker) assured me that package was not delivered but will talk to the mailman and get back to me and I never heard from her either. I contacted 800 number to complained. Found out the person who was suppose to call me back after talking to our mailman, sent a fake email that I was never received. I actually read an email that she wrote to me that I never received. And people who live in La Crescenta, we can't have our own mail box in front of our house or next to the main entrance, where we can put camera to surveillance our mailbox. And post office won't do anything about our theft issue we are having. Why can't we have our own mailbox where we need to. If we can't move our mailbox, they should pay for our stollen packages! Another issue, we were away for a vacation again and we did stop mail request. This time, we didn't receive our mail after the request date ended. My husband went to the post office and found out they forgot to lift stop mail request. I don't know what kind of people they are hiring to work at this post office. I understand we are only human being and we all do make mistakes. But don't lie or not calling back your customers hoping the issues will go away. At least apologize sincerely. If I have a choice to pick my own post office, this La Crescenta post office won't be my choice!! read more

The worst staff you can find here: dropped off a parcel ane the staff refused to give me a receipt; went there in person to mail a parcel and paid the postage as requested, that parcel came back to my mail box and stated postage less than required, why the staff didn't tell me to pay the correct postage, so I have to take the parcel to that post office and pay the balance. Also the mail in this post office got robbed at least twice. read more

Great post office with friendly staff who are ready to help. Parking is a bit difficult (not so much the spaces available as the way the parking lot is built out), but people come in and out quickly. Also, if you need a passport photo go here instead of a drug store. The room is private and they make sure you're ok with the photo before sending it off, so you don't end up looking like Quasimodo. read more

Absolutely useless supervisor. This is my third issue with this office and a substitute carrier failing to do their job. This supervisor gave me attitude when I failed to see how "someone just must have thrown it into the wrong box because it's not guaranteed to get there, you see" wad an acceptable answer. read more

I pretty much avoid the post office, but every time I come to this branch I can get in and out quickly. Even today, the Saturday before Christmas Eve, with a line to the door, I only waited around 5 minutes and everyone, the people in line and all the staff were very pleasant. Everyone in line was patient and courteous and while I dreaded going I quickly realized it would be a pain free experience. They had plenty of staff and in addition to the 3 people behind the counter, had someone out in front helping people with questions. I've used several post office and this one is the best so far. Short waiting time, short line, efficient and fast service, polite and friendly staff, open on Sat, clean and nice environment. I run an online clothing business and can always rely on them to deliver my parcels. I understand the postman's hectic schedules, so will always drop my parcel at the office instead of arranging a pick up. Every Tuesday I received the markets weekly flyers for the past 20 years. Sometimes rarely they will come on Wednesday if there was a Monday holiday. This week no flyers, mail is now delivered after 5 pm or the next day . Used be a good post office now one the worst of the worst! read more

Nice and small us post office. Came her to get a passport and arrived 30 minutes prior to them opening. Sheila, the nice lady who works there came out and helped me complete the paperwork and gave me the exact cost so I could fill out the check prior to getting in line. All the employees were friendly and helpful and Sheila was busting her butt helping 2-3 people at once, it was pretty impressive. My mail delivery has been screwed up all week. Today the carrier failed to deliver first class mail that Informed Delivery said would arrive yesterday. When I told him it was valuable tickets all he did was shrug. I just spent more than three minutes trying to phone the post office, but no one answered. I do not use this Post Office anymore because the parking lot is totally useless. Once in almost no way to get out without. There has to be a better way to design a parking lot? Service in the Post Office was fair whenever I needed to mail something. I know the lot is not the employees fault but still a nightmare to navigate it. read more
