Here's a place that help push the envelope! This Makiki Post Office does have a love hate issues with many but it's all love from me personally. They do have plenty of parking yes even the one that's the closest to the building even when it's insane there's additional parking across the street. I actually don't come here during hours as the obvious regardless the time of year it can get overwhelming. One reason that I do love this area is that it's rather close from where I live and yes parking if you plan it well is a breeze, it's not one that's locked during closed hours with whatever is needed to access like a few others I've been to. Not sure if anyone else uses them but I do actually prefer to use the self serve kiosk to mail my packages so either way I can get my mail out and I'm able to pick up mailing boxes at anytime. I do love snail mail as it brings joy to the receiver and here makes it so easy! Thank you!

Came at 9:15am on a Tuesday morning and there was a short line of around 8 people. The line moved fairly quickly, and there was a worker taking information from each person in line about what we needed at the post office. I told her I was there to just pick up a package and she moved me to the side. I gave her my slip and she returned with my package (ID required for all package pickups). Very smooth and quick process! The parking lot can get pretty crowded fast, but there's a lot right across the street from the post office with LOTS of parking. Small kine dark and sketchy so try not to park for too long haha

I've been extremely frustrated with the delivery policies of this post office. When I lived in a walkup Downtown, the mailman was nice enough to deliver even heavy packages to my door. At the Makiki post office, I've been told by my mailman that his manager does not allow mailmen to go up to individual apartments to leave packages. If this is true, the manager at the Makiki post office must be a jerk because not allowing his workers to leave packages is inconvenient for the elderly, disabled, and those of us without a vehicle. I live in a secure building with an elevator. It takes several additional minutes to leave a package. Instead, I always get a phone call while I'm at work on a weekday. I continuously state that I work Monday through Friday and won't be home to accept packages. The mailman then tells me to pick up my package at the post office. I don't have a car which isn't conducive to picking up heavy packages. Also, the post office is closed by the time I get home from work. I'm only available to go to the post office on Saturdays, and if not, I'm out of luck for another week. Again, I never had this problem when I was being delivered mail by the post office Downtown. Either the manager in charge of making these decisions is incompetent and uncaring about his customers, or the mailmen don't want to go that extra mile to make deliveries more convenient. Either way, it's frustrating and there is no way I'll ever give this post office a five star rating.

Horrible customer service! These ladies both represent the worst service USPS can provide.

Horrible customer service! These ladies both represent the worst service USPS can provide. I can't believe how unwilling she was to help get me flat rate boxes. The line was out the door since before 4pm, they close at 4:30. They don't allow anymore to go out after 4:30pm which I'm okay with, but all I needed to be better prepared doe them tomorrow is the free flat rate boxes they provide and she literally pushed me out of the store saying she had to count her money. All I asked for was the flat rate box, nothing else. She refused at 4:39pm.

The "clown car" of mailboxes...

Aloha USPS Makiki mail delivery: PLEASE STOP MANGLING AND DESTROYING MY MAIL AND PACKAGES. I know the condo mailbox is small--please just leave it at my door if there is too much mail to fit inside it.

USPS right in Ala Moana Center…read more.. Though it's very convenient I really wished that they have the self service kiosk outside as it just doesn't make any sense to have it inside while it's open doesn't do it any justice. Everything is locked up so you need to grab all the boxes and envelops to pack all your items as I searched and searched for a post office but now many are locked up unless you have the code to enter I guess for PO Box holders only. Honolulu locations do close quite early for folks like me how work during the day is the biggest challenge to get there in time to grab my necessities though still won't make it to ship it since everything is locked up once they're closed. Nevertheless love this location but parking is the biggest challenge so it's a love hate relationship I have by getting things shipped on time. Thank you!

I watched Lance (the Lone Ranger who was swiftly and efficiently moving the line through, with a smile, I might add. When the other postal guy opened the next "window" the line moved more quickly. I commented to Lance that I was surprised that the line looked like I imagined what it looked like for Christmas and he said that this line was LONGER than it was during the Christmas rush‼ Yikes‼

Thank you for the customer service every time I go to Eaton Square Post Office. This gentleman…read more is friendly and attentive no matter your needs. Also I have never had to wait because no line!

This is no ordinary post office…read more First off, it's not easy to find. Not by a longshot. It's not like you can put the address, 438 Hobron Ln in Waze and just drive right on over. That will only get you to beautiful Eaton Square. When they describe the location of this branch is in Eaton Square, they mean way up in there. You can't even see the office from the street. You need to find parking, and walk up into the complex. Way up. I had no idea where I was going, as it was my first visit to Eaton Square. To find the place, I figured I needed to think like I worked for the Postal Service. OK, so if I was Postal Service management, where would I locate this branch? I'd put it somewhere where no one could find it, that's where. Some place so rediculously remote, there's no way annoying customers could discover the location. Damn right! In the center of the square I spotted some stairs, but I couldn't tell where they went. Yes! That's got to be the way, I thought. Stairs are enough of an impediment to stop plenty of customers. I trudged up the stairs, and around a corner I noticed an indoor koi pond and fountain. Above the fountain there was a little mezzanine. I couldn't believe it, I had found the crazy Eaton Square Post office. There was one window open and a customer was being helped. I enjoyed the relaxing sound of the fountain and passed the time watching the koi swim around. I was very impressed with the customer service at this branch. The employee was helpful and efficient. Probably because he doesn't have to deal with the same number of customers other post offices do. Mikey C says: well played, Post Office Management!

Postal Services in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Hawai'i…read more.. I saw Irene M. check in at this Koko Head Post Office and thought, "i never noticed this Post Office before!" Let's check it out! The reviews warned everyone that it's a cozy place... yes, they're correct! As soon as I was organized enough, I drove over and parked in the paid parking lot behind the building since the metered street parking was full. The reviews warned everyone that it's a cozy place... yes, they're correct! There were two female clerks. Each of them was helping a customer... not bad! There are long lines at other post offices! Soon, it was my turn! The helpful, polite clerk was very efficient and explained everything as she went through my pile. Thank you very much for telling me that my friends should receive the mail by December 24th! Whew! Just made it!

Cozy place that has it all…read more.. Almost all if they had the self serve kiosk I'd be a regular at this Kaimuki location where it's almost hidden amongst the many biz it's surrounded by which is very easy to miss but with the OG blue mailbox that's placed right outside it does give the nostalgia of the days we mailed our seasonal items. With that I did need to send a box to a friend and needed a box which of course they have besides the generic I love the priority mail box packaging with the flat rate makes it easy to put whatever you need which was there for me along with the prices of what each box are. Right beside that they do have a area where you're able to pack/write or do whatever you need all nice and clean where I noticed a buck of flowers and noticed that they were pens...lol! regular ballpoint and sharpies as well that was a lovely touch to have but there was one thing that I did forget...tape...sigh! There was no line at all and I could've shipped my items but one little major bump in plans that made me frustrated but know that I have a convenient spot outside of the busy locations is here and love that it's a local residential spot. Thank you!
