I've been using this specific Post Office for several years now for my small and large shipments and it runs quite smoothly, I've never had an issue or problem here. The staff has been helpful and kind at the counter and they have at least one person helping with the line to speed up the process. Right now it's holiday season, and when I went the other day there were two lines, one for the main check out (3 employees at the counter) and one for the self check out machine. My estimated wait time was 1.5-2 hours for self checkout. With the chaotic energy that comes this time of year during the holidays, some may think otherwise but waiting in line here was actually quite soothing. No complainers and when it's 30 degrees outside, it's warm and comforting in here. I expected that wait time, so I had no problem with it. If you got a working printer at home, it's best to self print your label -- labels can be made on their website if you don't want to wait in line. They only have flat rate priority mail and express boxes (free) available here, others (priority mail, non flat rate) you need to order online. Working pens available at the counter just in case, other boxes, packaging, cards etc available for purchase. Self checkout has stamps available. Cut off time for drop off is 5:30pm Monday-Friday and 5pm on Saturday. The Sunset location near airport has later drop off times if you need it, and it's about 10-15 mins away. I love going to us post office in st rose pkway. It's bigger area and the staff are attentive. When I was in line and I'm trying to send package going to Israel they help you on what amount of package based on priority, days , weights or tracking number. So I need to save money because I'm sending 3 boxes in different area. Mark ( the staff ) is very helpful and very patient on me because I do have a lot of questions to ensure my packages will receive and track the package. Now, I learned if it's not in a rush to receive the package do the cheapest one and they will give you a reference number for the package. read more

I think this is one of the two best USPS facilities in Vegas. The Sunset location mid-LAS runway 26 Left / 8 Right with Po is very good. The people on St. Rose are always pleasant, and very fast. It's the impatient people that make the experience difficult. Here are some rules for the customers while waiting in line: 1. No grunting, huffing, or Shakespearean sighs of exasperation. You're life ain't that tough. You don't live in Venezuela and you're not on an overcrowded raft fleeing Syria holding your life's possessions in your arms. 2. Know the rush hours (lunch) and avoid them. 3. Don't complain that there are not enough clerks, deliberately aloud and within earshot of the clerks, and then look around trying make eye contact with the other people in line to agree with you. There will be no postal line revolution or coup d'état. If there are too few clerks don't blame the clerks. 4. Mind the bubble space of others in line. Getting so close to the person in front of you that they can feel/smell your halitosis hot breath fog on their neck will not get you letter mailed any sooner, though it may get your car keyed. 5. Cellphone chatter, not. 6. Letting your kids play on the floor? Why not just give them a screwdriver and point them in the direction of a wall socket? I'm calling Social Services. 7. Box-prepping-package-pushing-while-in-line people, we hate you. I hope the neck fogger halitosis dude pays you a visit. 8. We have a PO Box here, and every time we have a package we have to wait in the long mail line to pick it up. It's ridiculous!!! Doors locked again on Sunday April 21, 6:25 am . Sign says open at 5:00 am. Rates keep going up but it seems the service is going down.

This location has always been super helpful and recently they were able to make an effort to find me and deliver a letter that had an incomplete address from the government that was a very important time sensitive document. Without them making the extra effort to find me I would've been in a real bind. They could've just returned to sender but they actually care and saved me a huge ordeal! read more

I rarely need to call the post office cause my mail shows up as it should, however today I notice an image with my check Ive been waiting for and I'm thinking it will show up today as all my mail does when I use the Notification Center but it doesn't. I call this post office, speak to the operator and she said this service doesn't work I should wait two days which is absolutely not true my images are always accurate, I ask can you tell if my driver is still en route she says I'll let your carrier know and hangs up. Good news is they are delivering right now as I'm writing this message and staring out my window lol but why even put the doubt out there. If you need stamps, this is your place. I really appreciated the gal that said to the line "If you are here to only buy stamps and are using debit/credit card I can help you over here." That would be me! I got to jump out of line, a short line, a line that was moving rather quickly, to her cart. She showed me what she had, I picked two cool sheets one of Disney and the other of Halloween Pumpkins, she ran my debit through her wireless, handheld device and I was out the door. This post office forwards their call to a line they don't answer and has no answering machine. It doesn't matter how many times you call. I've called literally 10 times today and let it ring until it hung up on me (over 3min each time). I have a live animal delivery that says it should be delivered today. Typically these deliveries arrive early in the morning and they call you to come pick them up, but randomly they might decide to just deliver them to your door. You never actually know. The post office is not close to me and the lines there are always long and incredibly slow so stopping by in the middle of my work day isn't possible just to check on this package. I receive live animal shipments a few times a year so I am very familiar with how the process works and how fast these animals ship. The tracking information indicates it will be delivered by 8pm, yet they close at 5:30pm so if it's expected that I pick them up then they won't be picked up until the morning. Given that these are baby chicks they don't survive long in these conditions and an extra night of no food, water or warmth can easily cost them their lives. My past experiences have always been decent at this location other than the wait times...but literally forwarding your phone to avoid calls and not contacting someone on a live animal delivery is unacceptable. Worst experienced i ever had from the Staff of this office.... I got a federal and state notices that I need to reply ASAP . I received a note inside my residence mailbox to pick up 3 important notices from the IRS and FTB of California inside my mailbox. I went to the Saint Rose Pkwy office at least 5 times and they can't find it... I waited for so long each time because the lines are always too long.. Finally, I talked to the Supervisor, after 5 times, 5 different days and she was no help... They can't find it...even though i presented to them the note from my mail carrier to pick them up at this location.. Yesterday, i finally got another paper notice from my mail courier that 1 IRS notice was found and ready for pick up at this location. What happened to the other 2 notices??? Bottom line--my mail courier was very kind, polite, respectful and helpful for helping me on this... She went over and beyond her line of duty to communicate with me in a very positive way. The staff from the Post Office- NAHHHHHH. very negative rating. But.. still , i have struggled to find the other 2 notices.... I will report this to the proper department. Temple City area USPS (Oak Ave) is the closest USPS branch from my residence. They are always busy and always short-staff! Lines are long most of the time since there is almost always one postal clerk working the windows, Virginia. I asked her once if she was the only employee working and she just smiled. If I could rate usps a zero I would. I get updates that my packages are delivered but nothing ever shows up. Who ever is attempting to "deliver" my stuff can not read. This has happened multiple times and when I make a complaint, they offer no solution, and only say sorry. So basically I'm out of luck because their employees are incompetent. I've never had an issue with an Amazon delivery and they actually seem to care if you get your item. Shame on you usps, your employees need better training and you need higher standards. This is the 2nd best location for grumpy old people watching. The best place?, Any bank at 11:30am, pure grumper gold. There are so many options for package delivery these days why fuss with this mismanaged time consuming black hole. The workers here are slow, there are four counter spots, yet only two are ever open and there's no one working the floor to help speed up anyone's shipping processes. The parking is another mess. There are only about twenty-five spots in the front, but there's usually about fifty people here trying to send packages to loved ones or hated ex-lovers. Avoid this place and use FedEX, UPS, DHL, Amazon drones, literally anything is better than this snail-paced service. read more

I write this with the caveat that 98% of the time I send out packages, I have no issue with this post office, BUT... I sent out 11 packages Monday and on Wednesday I received one back in my mailbox. Immediately I went back in and waited about 30 minutes while the GM Juan tried to figure out what happened. He told me that with their system there´s no way that could have happened, I was a little dumfounded given that I had the package in my hands so obviously it did happen...I showed him the tracking info on my phone which verified that it was received by them on Monday & that the current status showed ¨in transit to next facility.¨ He then had me wait a few more minutes while he went to check something else, when he finally came back I said ¨I didn't care how it happened but can you at least express this so my customer could receive her package on time.¨ His answer was ¨I can put it in the express pile but a worker will see its in a priority box and move it back to priority most likely.¨ He refused to put an express sticker on my box or admit that they had even made a mistake with original shipping, but he did assure me he´d do the most that he could do, which was put it at the front of priority. Had he done simply that I wouldn't have taken my time to leave a review. The package did not even get scanned into USPS until after 9 PM that night when I dealt with Juan early afternoon. That was Wednesday and with their ¨2 day priority shipping,¨ the package still didn't get to my buyer until Saturday when her event was Friday. THE ABSOLUTE WORST POST OFFICE! They have lost multiple packages because of their mail carriers. I'm not sure if they are stealing my packages or what, but they always claim they "delivered" it to my mailbox. I'm still trying to find a package sent to me by my family and they are not offering any assistance. In fact they lost the same package AGAIN!
