2nd review. If you've been filling my reviews, you'll know that I'm a stickler for consistency. Vegas is so transient that oftentimes, quality goes out the door even weeks after a soft opening, leading to a big upset on expectations like biting into an apple only to find a worm. Not the case with A&J Postal - this family-run business knocked it out of the park again with their help in our need for passport photos. We're still debating whether we want to go to Rome on a pilgrimage to the Vatican or visit the Philippines (opting for Rome since we won't get mobbed by hordes of 'family' expecting a hand out). Since my last review, we have made two visits to this location. The first was for notary services around April 2021 during the mask mandates and social distancing timeframe. The second was for passport pictures [early July 2021] after mask mandates were lifted for those vaccinated. The owners of this business have taken the necessary precautions to make it safe for their customers. That said, the prices for their services are reasonable which is why we continue to give them our business. We look forward to future visits and seeing them again. Whatever you do, don't drop your Fedex or DHL packages off here... they will tell you that they will be picked up the same day, but most times, are not. They scan your packages into their system, but it is not registered into DHL's nor Fedex's systems until they are actually picked up. This is the worst scenario for any online seller with deadlines for initial scans. Furthermore, they make you feel unwelcomed when you ask to make an apt. for DHL to pick up same day, even if you arrive 6 hours prior to DHL's last pick-up time. The last and final time I went to A&J's, the "manager" who's been there for 8 years stated that she's going to stop accepting DHL because she didn't believe they were paying them. I spoke to a supervisor at DHL and A&J is indeed is being paid by DHL... she just hated the fact that she had to enter my packages into the system for DHL to pick up my packages while I stood there, because I couldn't trust that she would do it based on past experience. I've only been there 10 times in 10 years... and nearly each time, she is sitting around, with no other customers in sight. What's the issue? Why treat your customers as though they are inconveniencing you? Do the job you advertised!! This has to be the most horrible shipping experiences of my life, and I have shipped over 2 million packages in 30 years through various carriers. read more

This is the only place my family goes to when we need to ship packages. They do their best to get you the best price on shipping and they are so helpful and kind. I had to ship an awkwardly sized painting once and they BUILT a box for it! I e never had any issues even when I ship holiday gifts to Germany. They do more than shipping too! I am from SC, and moved here June past, so I was shocked to find that a $4 notary in SC is $15-20 a piece. Having about 10 notaries I needed to have done, I looked around for any better prices. I called A&J, after about 6-7 other business, and the manger (a quite nice, professional, helpful lady whose name escapes me at the moment,) said that they charge _____for the first (I think it was $15,) and then 1/2 price for each additional. Off to A&J I went. I got my notaries and sent the packet off to SC to be processed. A week later, I got bad news in the mail. My paperwork was not quite right, and need to be corrected, requiring all new notaries. Back to A&J I went for all new notaries. While doing the second round of notaries, I mentioned what happened to the manager. She again was pleasant, helpful and professional. Well, the end of the story is that when I went to settle up bill, lets just say that she surprised me with a significant discount. I am very appreciative and will continue to go back to that store whenever there is a need. read more

I had to get something important to a loved one on the other side of the country as soon as possible today and I went to A&J Postal which was recommended to me from a friend. I was using Apple Pay to pay for my shipping and it wouldn't go through for some reason, they helped me go through my settings and we checked to make sure everything was set up correctly, and after it still wouldn't go through (at this time I was panicking because this was the only method of payment I had on me at the time and this was really important), the manager offered for me to Apple Pay her the balance and she would take care of it. I sent her the money and it went through immediately and I was out the door in 30 seconds! She was so kind and they were so patient with me and I was so appreciative of them giving me another option to get my package shipped! I've been using the PO box here, which gives me an alternative address to use to hide my physical address from the public. They always notify me with a picture when the package arrives.
