Not enough parking so I rarely come to this post office nowadays, and hence why I gave this 3rd Ave Chula Vista post office 2 stars!! I rather go to the Bonita location, whereas I usually get in and out within 1 hour. Other than that, the employees here are courteous! :)

Had to go back to send some documents via registered mail. I did it on my lunch break so I was on a time crunch. Luckily I was able to find a parking space up front. I get in at 12pm and there is about 5 people in line and only 1 person helping in the front. This seems like the norm now. The line moved very slow and it seems they are pushing to use the self service section more and more now. Years ago I enjoyed coming to this post office. Always had a bunch of employees up front and the lines moved pretty fast. I don't like the upgrades at all. They got rid of more workstations up front and normally just 1 or 2 people helping. Used to remember 4-5 at all times. At least I was surprised by the cost of my envelope going out. When adding up costs I got $16 to $20 for certified and registered. When I got finished it was just $11 for both. I had to ask if she got everything added in and I guess it's cheaper to do both at the same time.

If you're looking to get your passport fast I recommend coming here. It was very easy to book an appointment online and they also do walk ins for a short time slot. Check out the website for hours. I was in and out in no time. They also provide photo services for your passport. There's a waiting area to fill out paperwork. Parking is limited.

Unfortunately the USPS has spent $$$ remodeling this location yet again instead of applying $$ towards things that matter. I am beyond upset as I've never had so many issues in any other location receiving my mail, mostly items that I've paid for! From a very expensive ring, to fishing license and The Ring Magazine that keep going undelivered or "return to sender " for insufficient address even though I get the notification that it is coming to my own address?! Please make that, make sense. I have put in requests online, spoken to the manager at this location but to no avail. Im out $$$ and it doesnt matter to anyone but me and my household who paid for such packages to be securely delivered, tracking included. This USPS needs an overhaul on their employees and honest people working. I get people make mistakes but when you have specific items being delivered every month and those mail pieces are not delivered, it should be met with answers and not "we cant do anything about it, its out of our hands"

The line was really long today. there were two postal clerks at the front desk handling the load. The gal I got was friendly. Both did a great job moving the line.

Waiting a long time to get the answer " you need to come back tomorrow" they cannot find my package! Worst customer service ever!!!

Parking is terrible for how busy this place gets! Parking lot gets very congested because people are waiting for parking spots to open. Line is long when you get inside with only 2-3 people working the counter! Once I got to the front, the lady who helped me was sweet and helpful, but it's a hassle and a mess here. If you're in a rush, plan to get here early and spend at LEAST 20-30 mins.

Best thing ever buy postage and don't talk to rude employees

I had mailed an important letter earlier that day, before they closed, and later realized that I had accidentally forgotten to include something in the envelope. I called the store after closing, not expecting anyone to answer, but Emmanuel picked up. When I explained what had happened, he was incredibly understanding and told me he would wait for me to come back so I could fix the situation. He absolutely did not have to do that. He stayed behind after closing and went out of his way to make sure I was able to get everything taken care of and my important letter mailed correctly. Throughout the entire process, he was so kind, patient, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Customer service like this is rare. Emmanuel truly went above and beyond when he could have simply told me to come back the next day. His willingness to stay late and help me meant so much, especially because the letter was important. PostalAnnex is very fortunate to have someone like Emmanuel representing their business. Thank you so much, Emmanuel, for your kindness and exceptional customer service. I'm writing this review after several negative experiences at this location, but today's…read moreinteraction was concerning enough that I feel it should be formally documented. We visited today at approximately 4:25 PM to drop off three packages. From the moment we arrived, the overall level of professionalism was disappointing. There was a long line, yet employees appeared disengaged, leaning on their hands while assisting customers and moving extremely slowly despite the number of people waiting. When we reached the counter, the representative assisting us was wearing a gray sweater over his USPS clothing and did not have a visible name tag, so unfortunately I was unable to identify him by name. I asked him a simple question regarding a separate package worth over $100 that was dropped off at this exact location on September 9 at approximately 1:30-1:45 PM. Because the self-service option was out of service that day, the package was placed in the designated drop-off area near the service counters. As of today, the tracking number still shows no record of the package being processed or scanned. I asked what could be done to locate it. Instead of showing concern or explaining the appropriate process, the employee's demeanor immediately became defensive. He handed me information for another USPS location on Fern Avenue and simply told me to call them because "they'll find it." I explained that the package was not dropped off there--it was dropped off at this location. After I asked about the missing package, the interaction noticeably changed. One of the packages we were dropping off today was in a reused Amazon box that had a battery-related sticker on it. The employee told us he could not accept it with that sticker, which I completely understood. I removed the sticker and presented the box again. He then refused it because some white residue from the removed sticker remained on the cardboard. There was no barcode or readable battery information left--only residue. I repeatedly tried to comply with every instruction and remove anything he pointed out, but each time there seemed to be another reason the package could not be accepted. His tone became increasingly condescending, including telling me, "Look at me helping you," while I remained polite and told him I was simply following every instruction he was giving me. The interaction felt unnecessarily adversarial, particularly because the change in demeanor happened immediately after I asked about the package that went missing after being dropped off at this location. At the end of the transaction, we selected the neutral rating on the customer feedback screen rather than a negative one. The employee even made a gesture in response to that rating, which made the interaction even more uncomfortable. When I asked for the manager's name, I was given a name that sounded like "Lilo," but no title or additional information was provided, so I cannot confirm whether that person is actually the manager. This is also not the first time we have experienced condescending treatment at this location. My wife is still learning English, and when she has asked questions here in the past, employees have spoken to her in a way that she has found dismissive and condescending. I understand that USPS has packaging and shipping regulations, and I have no issue complying with them. My concern is the lack of professionalism, the way customers are spoken to, the apparent change in treatment after raising a legitimate concern, and most importantly, the fact that a package dropped off at this location on September 9 still has no tracking activity whatsoever. Customers should be able to ask where their missing property went without feeling that doing so will negatively affect the service they receive afterward. I hope management reviews the September 9 missing package, today's approximately 4:25 PM interaction, and the customer service practices at this location. We are simply asking for professional treatment and help locating a package that was entrusted to USPS.
