For the past few weeks I've been contacting this PO regarding how they just leave packages right below my mailbox. Their response ' mail carriers are no longer allowed to get out of their vans' they're not responsible if it gets stolen. They're recommending you to get a safety box at the PO for a price of course. March 09, 2026. I arrived 10 minutes before closing and the doors to the cashier were locked with a chain. The cashier told me she couldn't take me or more people because she had to leave at 5pm, it is ridiculous! If the hours say 'close at 5pm" then lock up at 5pm. Have to agree with everyone the passport people are rude just because you have a government job doesn't make you better than others. Very bad service at this office ! I showed up today before 5pm and this is the second time in this month they keep closing before 5pm. The guy at the front howie open the door to let someone out and told me that "he was close" I told him it's not 5pm yet! I should have read the Yelp reviews before going in. This was by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced at a passport center. The two ladies working there yelled at me when I asked simple clarification questions. They were entitled, rude, and completely unhelpful. I specifically made it clear to Addy that I needed to get my envelope to Sacramento by the next day. She says, " You still have 15 minutes but will need to overnight it and it will be guaranteed by 6pm." I see her place it in what seems like the normal mail bin. Check this morning and still says at Chula Vista. I return at 830am when they open to question where it is. She says, " I seen it go on the truck." She then looked in her computer and then another and could not find it. Sends me to 3rd Street (Main Location) to speak to a supervisor who says the same thing that he cannot find it. Plus he made me wait more than 10 minutes. Two agents in front had to loud speaker twice for him. Then he proceeds to tell me I can file for mail being lost after 30 days. What is in that mail is far more important and I should have used UPS or FedEx. Probably even less than the $28-29 dollars I paid. read more

We did our passports here and we had a great experience! I'm sorry, we didn't ask her name, but she was the pretty lady with the red hair and nice nails. She helped us and was real cool with our kids. She was super informative and answered all our questions. We didn't use this place for mail, so I can't speak for that part. For the passport side of things, if you have your appointment made and you prefilled out the DS-11 or DS-82 forms online and bring them in your appointment will go by quicker. They also speak Spanish so that was pretty cool and effective for the Chula Vista community. Thanks again Ms. Lady with the red hair! You were awesome. read more

I came on here because I want to write a positive review on Estelle. But first I want to point out that the start of my visit was rough to say the least because a staff by the name Addy. She started raising her voice and belittled me in front of everyone to the point I wanted to cry. I clearly went in last week stating I did not know what I was doing (as I've never had to return anything especially something as important as my wedding heals). She refused to help and gave me attitude, I really hope it was due to her just having a bad day but still, this lady needs to be careful with how she treats others because it is truly hurtful. Then there's Estelle who stepped in and spoke to me in a calm and professional manner all throughout the process. Honestly if it wasn't for her I probably would have bursted into tears right then and there with how I was being treated. passport office is horrendous. went with my two daughters and a power of attorney since my husband is deployed. Yolanda yelled at me, didn't listen to me or even let me speak.actually threw the power of attorney back at me and asked me if I had custody of the kids (clearly not listening when I said my HUSBAND is deployed). she kept saying things "might not be received" (ex: the photos for my kids). I politely asked if she meant it might not be accepted or how it's possible it might not get received, if I need to send it a different way and she just ignored me. absolutely horrific. I wish there was some sort of recourse but I guess government employees can barely do their jobs and still be guaranteed employment. however I will be taking this up with her boss. read more

If I could give NEGATIVE or ZERO stars I would! Horrible service, we set an appointment for our newborn to apply for passport and our appt was set at 12:15-12:30. I went up to ask about how much time we would still need to wait because we have been waiting since 12pm and it's already 1:45pm. The lady with red hair was extremely rude when I was talking to another attendant. She interrupted my conversation and went along with saying how I was interrupting her (red hair lady) from doing her job when I wasn't even talking to her. She threatened how she was not even going to help me because I was being rude and I told her, I was not even being being rude and I was not even talking to her. I went up and ask another attendant about our appointment because we do have a newborn! But she's the one that got all rude and yelling that everyone in the facility can hear her. Location had poor information as well. You come in without knowing what to do. No sign stating to sit down and wait for your turn, no sign saying that they have a delay. I was frazzled getting there after work, getting my documents together - she helped me take my picture and get a money order in no time. Worst service ever. I got here at 8:30am when they are suppose to be open. It is now 8 :53 and they are still closed! There was two women inside and turns out they could not open because they had computer problems yet, a line had formed around 10 deep. Everyone was checking on line and wondering what they did wrong or if they missed a sign somewhere that specified a different opening time. Finally the doors opened at 10 15..and the only thing that was said to us was.."sorry we had computer problems"..how out of touch and insensitive she was not realizing we all had places to be and other obligations. But because they were Federal workers that is the only explanation we deserved. At the very least they could have told us early on that they could not open yet due to computer problems and we could have made a decision to leave or stay. But instead we waited like sheep. Waiting for God knows what. Too bad there will never be any accountability with this behavior. The Federal government does what they want. read more

I had very important documents that were mailed to the wrong house, after I was informed that my documents were personally delivered back to this post office, I drove here only to be sent to another location and was told that they also don't have my mail, came back and explained but the woman who assisted me gave zero fucks about my situation, I gave my best behavior in hopes she'd help me but she refuse to help, so out of frustration I walked out on her in the middle of her sentence which was "your mail isn't here, sorry, it just isn't..." she keeps smiling like she's enjoying me begging for my damn mail, since it's obvious she don't care I kept walking away, and she had the audacity follow me to the exit all stomping her heels and gave me a serious death stare.
