If I could give this place NO STARS I would. But unfortunately in order to make a review I need to put a star. This is my local post office and the staffs here are so RUDE. They are always speaking or moving like they are in a hurry and there aren't even that many people inside. They have a tone and attitude when speaking to the customers. When walking into ANY place you should feel welcomed and comfortable especially if it's your LOCAL spot. But when you step in here you feel the complete opposite. You feel rushed, uncomfortable, and definitely not welcomed. Not sure if this the DMV or the post office because their attitudes in there are like the people who work at the dmv and don't wanna be there. Even on the phone they are rushing you and hanging up quickly. Replace the staff so the people of the community don't have to feel uncomfortable walking into their local post office. read more

I never in my life had someone scream at me on the phone.. but now reading these reviews it's a recurrent issue with the same lady MRS. KEYES. I wanted to call to inquire about passport renewal services. And she was delightful in the beginning and she asked me "when did your passport expire" and I told her "I don't know it was a while ago" and she goes "WELLLLL I NEED IT BECAUSE THERE IS DIFFERENT FORMS!!!!" I couldn't process what else she was yelling cause I was so shocked that this voice changed from a pleasant one to an evil one.. I asked her for her name and she said Miss Keyes in the most pleasant voice. I'm sure she knows everyone complains about her.. read more

I wish I could rate a zero. The older African American Woman (clerk 99) that sits to the far left is extremely rude, throws shade constantly, and the young man with the mustache (looks Hispanic or White) is picking up her unkindness and rudeness. Even when you are extremely nice to her, she is terribly rude. I needed to send something next day, wanted to make sure I was using the proper envelope and label. They make you go way out to the far lobby instead of being accommodating. They then give precise instructions in a rude and condescending way Example: put your envelop in the express envelope package while you are over there, write on the correct form, then bring it back, but make sure you put your envelope inside first. They will not allow you to write on the table, that's in the line so you won't lose your place in line. No one was there when I got there. NO ONE was in line, but made me go to the far lobby instead. Mind you I had to copy the address off of the envelope, my writing is not that great, I left the envelop I was mailing out of the express envelop so it would be legible for her to read. She stated "don't worry about putting it in the envelope now, you should have done it over there, that's what you should have done" in the rudest condescending voice. I am 58 years old and she treats me like a child every time I come in there. I am a degreed individual from a prestigious school and she treats people like they have no sense. This time, I said to her "you don't have to be so rude, you're getting smart with me". She states: "oh I wasn't being rude. " I said "yes, you were". She then states...I was taking too long reading the monitor, I said I like to read the questions so I will know what I am agreeing to. She quickly went pass everything. I did not get the chance to read the address she entered into the system, I pray my package gets there. Or if she will be evil and not get my package there on time, since I confronted her in a very polite way. I "maybe" go to that post office once every other year and every time I go there she is extremely rude. Hence she has many complaints here on Yelp...many stating the same thing. When will the post office get rid of people that treat paying customers, we pay their salaries and they are rude! Again, the young man that works there is following her behavior as well. They get a kick out of this. She's nice to the older men that come in and some of the older ladies. Anyone else; she treats horribly. read more

This post office is unprofessional and sucks. The manager Mrs. Keys is extremely Rude. I asked "do you have a pen because the pens on the counter are dirty". They smelled like spit and i was disgusted throwing up. she replied and told me "did i bring one". she got smart with me and she told the security officer and lied that I was being rude to Her and switched it around. Also 15 minutes later there was a young black male at the counter who cussed her out for something else. Wow. So i wasnt tripping about her attitude. i left and forgot my stamps so i had to come all the way back knowing security told me to leave. i told them when i got there and luckily, but still unsatisfactory bought the stamps and could leave this low budget place. I have gone to this Usps and that's true the African American lady is very rude. She won't help you unless you stand behind the plastic plexi glass and when you ask the scan the labels it's almost like she won't want to do it she just tells you to go to the self-help booth even when it doesn't even work isn't that their job to scan shipping labels and ship packages? read more

There is one worker that just tries to be as rude as possible. She was on the phone when she was helping me, and it was difficult to know wether she was talking to me or the person she was on the phone with so she was not hearing me reply to her questions nor what I was telling her I needed. All I wanted was holiday stamps. But I don't let people like that get to me. You're not ruining my day. Keep trying though. I went into the post office with the spirit of Christmas and met the face of Halloween. read more

This is my second time at this location and Ms. Lisa Keyes still has not had an attitude adjustment. She is extremely rude and demanding. No matter your age, even with seniors, she offers nothing short but terrible service. Every single customer grunts, moans, and share the same sentiment in that Ms. Keyes has terrible manners and a very rude demeanor. Myself and another female were demanded by Ms. Keyes to package our boxes in the lobby even though there were no other costumers in the office. To no surprise, her nasty attitude affects her coworkers as the young female working alongside her also has a resting disgusted face and offers terrible customer service. It's surprising management has allowed her to treat customers this way.. read more

The location is ideal. The customer service and employee communication skills are not the best. Ms. Keyes, has no patience and on many occasions is rude. read more

Absolute worst customer service 1. Package shows "attempt was made and notice left at 6:18pm Sunday" and advised to contact local post office. NO NOTICE WAS LEFT. 2. Impossible to contact anyone on the phone 3. My package tracking in usps.com says package is available for pick up as of 7pm last night. But when we arrived to pick up they don't have the package. Gave them tracking number and they said it is not the correct number even though that is the exact number that is pulled up 4. The response from the worker "oh the driver must have it we don't have it" Good luck trying to get help here read more

I come here frequently now as a new reseller. Before this, I had never really mailed anything before. Ms. Keyes is the nicest. She gave me tips on saving money on shipping, how to make sure my packages are really secure and she even broke down cost differences and insurance to me. I was just using the QR codes to get labels printed at the register, but she convinced me to get a thermal printer because of how often I come in. I use self service now because of that. Everyone is always friendly when I go in, but I love when I see Ms. Keyes. She's so sassy and fun. I like that I'm able to go to places (especially these days) and be recognized and treated with good service every time. read more

If FedEx can do it then go there! Much happier and smoother process with them. The old raggedy lady with grey hair and glasses at the front kept telling my kids to stop touching the birthday cards... Tomorrow is my daughter's birthday, why can't they open some and read them?? Then she condescendingly told me "I'm not gonna tell you again to tell your kids to stop touching my cards!" At that point, I had a "who tf are you talking to?"moment and called her rude and walked out as she started laughing about the whole incident. This employee (as stated in other comments) has been very rude to many customers and shouldn't be working here anymore! Clearly, she is power hungry and abusing her position. read more

Forced to apply 1 star to do this review. I see from previous comments that nothing is being done about the worst customer service in this establishment. All I can say is... I wouldn't trust them with any of my mail or packages and I definitely will be avoiding this Post Office like the worst plague there ever was. Since these reviews don't matter to this Office... I came to drop off my large pre paid package and get a receipt. No one in line and all she really needed to do is scan and issue me a receipt. Instead she pointed and proceeded to teach me how to use the self service. I was being polite and don't want to argue. As she was instructing me a person interrupted her and I pause. Then she made a, to me, A rude comment. Asking me if don't I know how to read and push buttons. I just kind of brushed it off and let her proceed. Yes I could have use the self service if I saw if she was busy but really I already know my package was to big to put in the self service window bin. Maybe we should just do everything self service so we can get rid of all this sit down jobs. read more

Went to this location since it was close to where my boyfriend works and I was going to meet him up for lunch after doing my errands. I got inside and was hoping there was a self-service station, but there was none. I ended up waiting line to get help with mailing out my small package. Didn't have to wait too long and was helped a nice employee, who assisted me very quickly. Staff seemed pretty friendly at this location. Definitely an odd spot to have to have a post office since it was next door to a Cineplex Theater, a small mall, Target and Ikea. read more

Miss Keyes was so rude to me today. She should definitely be trained on customer service. Ill never return to this location due to her poor attitude. read more

Workers are slow and lazy. Not helpful at all. If you don't like your job, please apply elsewhere.

Hey we get it you hate your job! But no need to be rude. This goes for all the lovely ladies that work there. Went in there not knowing any of the processes- literally it was my first time shipping stuff. They acted annoyed and like if I already knew the process...umm sorry but no. They could of been much friendlier about it but nope. People make mistakes I'm sure they do too. They should really train on how to talk to people. read more

I don't have much experience shipping and with shipping labels and I apologized to Mrs. Keyes but she was irritated the whole time. She was helping someone else out and I was the third in line and she was yelling across the room asking me questions and I told her I'd show her what I was talking about when it is my turn but she said no you'll tell me now while she proceeded to help out the next guest. She even yelled at the person in front of me for losing her key and was interrogating her for losing it. She was very unprofessional. read more

I am a resident and I frequent this location over traveling further to the main post office on Avalon. There is an older African American woman that sits on the far left register and she is almost always extremely rude. Today I had to mail a package overseas, I ended up being "helped" (if that's what we are calling it) by a Jonathan character. He was rude, unhelpful, and condescending. At one point he referred me to google. I proceeded to say,"Oh, so I guess you guys are just no help" to which he agreed. Stating that they will not help with addresses after he clearly misunderstood what I said in the first place. This post office is rated a 2.2 and I fully understand why. Rude, ignorant people training new rude & extremely ignorant people. Do better, Carson. read more

The black lady at the front desk very rude person and treated me very bad, she made me feel as if I had the Corona virus and I was going to infect her , very rude person I'm glad I don't live close to that location and it was a just one stop and go time because I swallow all my anger and didn't say anything to her but made me have a head ache i saw the way she treated black people and was totally different the way she treated me she made me go to the lobby while she let another person black woman filled out the address in there, she made me wait behind the glass while she helped the other black lady then she made like a Fuchi face and told me move behind glass as if I had the virus, there are nice ways to say please stand behind the glass, anyways never coming back to see her fuchi face again. read more

I've mentioned in my review for the only other post office in this city that I'd rather be sedated if I'd ever have to go there again. Well, it isn't any different for this one. It's actually worse. Rude staff every single time I'm in this place, without fail. The lines are sometimes out the door and they usually just have one or 2 people (usually one) working and they move at a glacial pace when helping customers. Why are you like this??? Honestly, the post office business just wants to hire every person with a nasty attitude in this city. There is only employee in particular that really makes me so mad! This tall caucasian woman with short hair always has something rude to say about everything and she's so unprofessional. Why can't you just do your job? Honestly, I'm such a nice person but it's hard to be when they don't even greet you with a damn smile at the very least. Such awful customer service from a place that is supposed to be responsible for sending your cargo/mail to where it needs to be. read more

Waited patiently for over an hour to mail a package oversees to my husband who is currently deployed. The black lady with orange/red hair was the absolute worst. I asked for help with my military package and she would not give me the time of day. She was incredibly rude and would not help me with getting the forms I needed to send the package. She would send me away and would tell me to just figure it out myself and come up to the counter when I was ready. She scolded me and told me I filled everything out wrong. I asked for help and she would not. She never helped me mail the package. I ended up going to another post office where I was helped in under 10 minutes. This lady apparently loves getting into drama and arguments. You'd think she'd like to help a military spouse get a package to an active military member who is deployed and serving the country we live in. I guess she's an okay employee if you're just buying stamps or dropping something off. But, if you need any assistance, she will not help. read more

Watch out when you go to this location. The lady in the front Keyes she is extremely rude. I would not go back. First of all, she expects us to know on how to mail out certain items. I have a package that was shipped from the Carson, CA post office four days ago. It hasn't shown any updates since the Carson Post Office accepted it and in their possession. I went to my local post office in Colorado and asked them about the package. They said the package is still in Carson, CA where last scanned. Was my first time here and it left me a bad impression. There was a long line, but wasn't bothered by that at all, what bothered me was the lady on the counter her name was ms. keyes. She was RUDE not only to me but to half of the people in line. There was an asian couple who tried their best to describe to her the service they needed and she was quick to say "what are you even talking about?" with nasty attitude, like how unprofessional and xenophobic is that??? Just because they couldn't communicate doesn't mean she needs to be rude and mean about it. She also made a statement about me being "too close" to another lady in line, as if its any of her concern. Blames her attitude and rude service on her military training lmaoo. I honestly recommend going to the self-service machine than getting helped by her if you're coming here. read more

If this post office was in Torrance, we wouldn't consistently see these bad ratings. Ms. Keyes has the worst attitude I've ever experienced and the other girl works while on her cell phone ear bugs trying to speak to customer and the phone at the same time. Unfortunately, this will probably not change until somebody gets physical with them. Then we'll see them on the news. They are not qualified for customer service. The reviews go back for several years. Something needs to be done about this. Frankly, I've had enough. The postal service is responsible. read more

USPS needs to hold bad customer service accountable. I did not get the Lady's name.. but if you continue to read the reviews on this page and you visit this location you'll know who we are all talking about. Do not let her fool you. There is NO RULE that says you need to use the Self Service Machine in order to receive a receipt for your package. She is out of her wheelhouse. But, i must say you'll get better service out of that machine than you will out of her. Plain and simple she is just being lazy and wants rely on a machine to avoid public contact. Great career choice! I do apologize to the younger lady that worked there in the middle of all this and eventually gave me my receipt as requested. Just trying to get a point across. This is my local post office, and i should not have to drive an extra mile because of one sour apple ,nor should ANY Carson local. Please treat everyone with respect. Do not put people down because of their inability to read or speak english, and force them to use a kiosk. It Does not take long to scan a package and hit print on the other side of the counter. As a patron, If you visit this location and see this i encourage you to speak up with respect, and or report the issue to usps hq. read more

This is a late post, so this review reflects my one time visit from several months ago. But I remember the gentleman in the lobby provided amazing customer service!! I came here early on a Saturday morning with my dog. Walked around before it opened. Once it did open, there was already a line of 5 or 6 people in front of me. It was my first time mailing anything internationally, so I was kind of confused. I just grabbed a box and waited in line. When I finally got there, the woman who assisted me (I believe her name was Mia) told me exactly what I needed to do, although she wasn't super friendly at first--but I know that being cheery to everyone (especially with amateur mailers like me around) isn't that easy. I followed her guidance, and got everything squared away. It didn't end up being as expensive as I thought it was going to be, and Mia was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and patient with me as I was seriously riding the strugglebus trying to convert my mom's Taiwanese address to English. Plenty of parking since it is located in a shopping area. Small-ish place though, which is actually better than those huge post offices. Pretty good experience. read more

This is the only location I trust to drop off packages at, especially Media Mail. I've been dropping shipments here for almost two years now on an almost daily basis (expect Sundays of course) so I've see the employees they cycle in and out of here. First off, yes, Linda is amazing! If you get her as your service rep, you're in good hands. I also have to give a shout out to Farrin who is just as awesome and super friendly! I agree that Ruth and the other Filipino lady can be a bit rough around the edges (and yes, Ruth has told me to not bring "lots of packages" for drop off and to take them to the other Carson P.O. but I just ignore her. At least they got rid of that corny old man who has a lame joke for everything you asked him. "Hi, can I get a receipt for these packages?" "That'll be $4 million." SMH *eyeroll like a milk drunk baby* Overall though there's never been an issue with drop off here and I'll continue to use them as my exclusive location in the area, even if it means making a 15 mile drive on the weekend. read more

I frequently ship out because i am a seller on ebay/depop and mercari, and i never had a bad experience until TODAY. It took everything in me not to scream at this lady. Mrs. Keyes. AND she's very pushy. she asked me to insert my card, then got mad at me for inserting it because i "inserted it too soon". She's very condescending, treated me like i was stupid. Ms. Keyes is on a major power trip and has a horrendous attitude! She has recently taken up a major problem with people addressing their envelopes while still in line and tries to make them leave the room and not come back until they are finished. The most recent time? THE ROOM WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY and she still called out in this nasty wasty sarcastic-nice tone that I should leave and come back when my package was addressed. Get over yourself, lady! I personally think we should all band together and address envelopes and packages in the room as often as possible until she quits. Heck even if you come with an addressed package. Just take a pen out and pretend to write on it and watch the insanity commence. read more
