Absolute worst customer service 1. Package shows "attempt was made and notice left at 6:18pm Sunday" and advised to contact local post office. NO NOTICE WAS LEFT. 2. Impossible to contact anyone on the phone 3. My package tracking in usps.com says package is available for pick up as of 7pm last night. But when we arrived to pick up they don't have the package. Gave them tracking number and they said it is not the correct number even though that is the exact number that is pulled up 4. I come here frequently now as a new reseller. Before this, I had never really mailed anything before. Ms. Keyes is the nicest. She gave me tips on saving money on shipping, how to make sure my packages are really secure and she even broke down cost differences and insurance to me. I was just using the QR codes to get labels printed at the register, but she convinced me to get a thermal printer because of how often I come in. I use self service now because of that. Everyone is always friendly when I go in, but I love when I see Ms. Keyes. She's so sassy and fun. I like that I'm able to go to places (especially these days) and be recognized and treated with good service every time. read more

If FedEx can do it then go there! Much happier and smoother process with them. The old raggedy lady with grey hair and glasses at the front kept telling my kids to stop touching the birthday cards... Tomorrow is my daughter's birthday, why can't they open some and read them?? Then she condescendingly told me "I'm not gonna tell you again to tell your kids to stop touching my cards!" At that point, I had a "who tf are you talking to?"moment and called her rude and walked out as she started laughing about the whole incident. I came to drop off my large pre paid package and get a receipt. No one in line and all she really needed to do is scan and issue me a receipt. Instead she pointed and proceeded to teach me how to use the self service. I was being polite and don't want to argue. As she was instructing me a person interrupted her and I pause. Then she made a, to me, A rude comment. Asking me if don't I know how to read and push buttons. I just kind of brushed it off and let her proceed. Yes I could have use the self service if I saw if she was busy but really I already know my package was to big to put in the self service window bin. Went to this location since it was close to where my boyfriend works and I was going to meet him up for lunch after doing my errands. I got inside and was hoping there was a self-service station, but there was none. I ended up waiting line to get help with mailing out my small package. Didn't have to wait too long and was helped a nice employee, who assisted me very quickly. Staff seemed pretty friendly at this location. Definitely an odd spot to have to have a post office since it was next door to a Cineplex Theater, a small mall, Target and Ikea. read more

I don't have much experience shipping and with shipping labels and I apologized to Mrs. Keyes but she was irritated the whole time. She was helping someone else out and I was the third in line and she was yelling across the room asking me questions and I told her I'd show her what I was talking about when it is my turn but she said no you'll tell me now while she proceeded to help out the next guest. I am a resident and I frequent this location over traveling further to the main post office on Avalon. There is an older African American woman that sits on the far left register and she is almost always extremely rude. Today I had to mail a package overseas, I ended up being "helped" (if that's what we are calling it) by a Jonathan character. He was rude, unhelpful, and condescending. At one point he referred me to google. I proceeded to say,"Oh, so I guess you guys are just no help" to which he agreed. Stating that they will not help with addresses after he clearly misunderstood what I said in the first place. This post office is rated a 2.2 and I fully understand why. I've mentioned in my review for the only other post office in this city that I'd rather be sedated if I'd ever have to go there again. Well, it isn't any different for this one. It's actually worse. Rude staff every single time I'm in this place, without fail. The lines are sometimes out the door and they usually just have one or 2 people (usually one) working and they move at a glacial pace when helping customers. Why are you like this??? Honestly, the post office business just wants to hire every person with a nasty attitude in this city. There is only employee in particular that really makes me so mad! Waited patiently for over an hour to mail a package oversees to my husband who is currently deployed. The black lady with orange/red hair was the absolute worst. I asked for help with my military package and she would not give me the time of day. She was incredibly rude and would not help me with getting the forms I needed to send the package. She would send me away and would tell me to just figure it out myself and come up to the counter when I was ready. She scolded me and told me I filled everything out wrong. I asked for help and she would not. She never helped me mail the package. I ended up going to another post office where I was helped in under 10 minutes. This lady apparently loves getting into drama and arguments. You'd think she'd like to help a military spouse get a package to an active military member who is deployed and serving the country we live in. I guess she's an okay employee if you're just buying stamps or dropping something off. But, if you need any assistance, she will not help. read more

Was my first time here and it left me a bad impression. There was a long line, but wasn't bothered by that at all, what bothered me was the lady on the counter her name was ms. keyes. She was RUDE not only to me but to half of the people in line. There was an asian couple who tried their best to describe to her the service they needed and she was quick to say "what are you even talking about?" with nasty attitude, like how unprofessional and xenophobic is that??? Just because they couldn't communicate doesn't mean she needs to be rude and mean about it. She also made a statement about me being "too close" to another lady in line, as if its any of her concern. Ms. Keyes has the worst attitude I've ever experienced and the other girl works while on her cell phone ear bugs trying to speak to customer and the phone at the same time. I have a package that was shipped from the Carson, CA post office four days ago. It hasn't shown any updates since the Carson Post Office accepted it and in their possession. I went to my local post office in Colorado and asked them about the package. They said the package is still in Carson, CA where last scanned. USPS needs to hold bad customer service accountable. I did not get the Lady's name.. but if you continue to read the reviews on this page and you visit this location you'll know who we are all talking about. Do not let her fool you. There is NO RULE that says you need to use the Self Service Machine in order to receive a receipt for your package.She is out of her wheelhouse. But, i must say you'll get better service out of that machine than you will out of her. Plain and simple she is just being lazy and wants rely on a machine to avoid public contact. Great career choice! I do apologize to the younger lady that worked there in the middle of all this and eventually gave me my receipt as requested. Just trying to get a point across. This is my local post office, and i should not have to drive an extra mile because of one sour apple ,nor should ANY Carson local. Please treat everyone with respect. Do not put people down because of their inability to read or speak english, and force them to use a kiosk. It Does not take long to scan a package and hit print on the other side of the counter. This is the only location I trust to drop off packages at, especially Media Mail. I've been dropping shipments here for almost two years now on an almost daily basis (expect Sundays of course) so I've see the employees they cycle in and out of here. First off, yes, Linda is amazing! If you get her as your service rep, you're in good hands. I also have to give a shout out to Farrin who is just as awesome and super friendly! I agree that Ruth and the other Filipino lady can be a bit rough around the edges (and yes, Ruth has told me to not bring "lots of packages" for drop off and to take them to the other Carson P.O. but I just ignore her. At least they got rid of that corny old man who has a lame joke for everything you asked him. "Hi, can I get a receipt for these packages?" "That'll be $4 million." SMH *eyeroll like a milk drunk baby* Overall though there's never been an issue with drop off here and I'll continue to use them as my exclusive location in the area, even if it means making a 15 mile drive on the weekend. read more

I came here early on a Saturday morning with my dog. Walked around before it opened. Once it did open, there was already a line of 5 or 6 people in front of me. It was my first time mailing anything internationally, so I was kind of confused. I just grabbed a box and waited in line. When I finally got there, the woman who assisted me (I believe her name was Mia) told me exactly what I needed to do, although she wasn't super friendly at first--but I know that being cheery to everyone (especially with amateur mailers like me around) isn't that easy. I followed her guidance, and got everything squared away. It didn't end up being as expensive as I thought it was going to be, and Mia was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and patient with me as I was seriously riding the strugglebus trying to convert my mom's Taiwanese address to English. Plenty of parking since it is located in a shopping area. Small-ish place though, which is actually better than those huge post offices. Pretty good experience. read more

Ms. Keyes is on a major power trip and has a horrendous attitude! She has recently taken up a major problem with people addressing their envelopes while still in line and tries to make them leave the room and not come back until they are finished. The most recent time? THE ROOM WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY and she still called out in this nasty wasty sarcastic-nice tone that I should leave and come back when my package was addressed. Get over yourself, lady! I personally think we should all band together and address envelopes and packages in the room as often as possible until she quits. Heck even if you come with an addressed package. Just take a pen out and pretend to write on it and watch the insanity commence. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars. This is the only post office close to where I live unfortunately, and I probably only come here once a year if I really have to. Service is ALWAYS terrible. I've always had a terrible experience here including today. ALL the workers are always RUDE as hell. Today, I had to return a few merchandise and both of the clerks working here basically told me to get out of her line if I don't know which packaging to use. I don't know if this is how they're trained as far as customer service but customer service here at this particular post office, is definitely lacking here. They are not helpful whatsoever with customers and not accommodating. On top of that, they play dumb and act as if they can't hear you when you're speaking to them. When they talk to you, they talk down to you. They have no respect for others. Anyway, this'll be the last time I come to this location. My husband and I dropped off 9 packages and Ruth was telling us that we can not do this next time because 1 person is only allowed 5 packages per day. We did not even exceed the limit but she was complaining that it's too much as if she was gonna print those labels. Excuse me Ruth, everything was all done, you just have to scan those packages. You can not question us why we are sending out 9 packages, we are still within the limit, so just mind your own business, do not complain and just do your job!!! I can understand if these were Holidays BUT March and April??? This last time I waited 11/2 hours. I feel people at window/s should ask for help. I was raised in Carson moved here in 1970. me personally I've never had a bad experience at this particular post office myself But I have witnesses the clerk's get very rude and nasty with customers. One experience stand's out in my mind I mailed some very important documents and forgot to put the policy number on it. ‍ I went back up there like literally 7 minutes later nobody but me and her was in there, I told her my situation that i needed to put my policy number on it. She looked at me with a face of "I'm not moving" then she "sighs" gets up nd walk's over where my package is and pretend to not see it but I seen it by her feet. I remained calm nd nice i said there it is right there. she allowed me to write the number down I explained to her that I understand that you didn't have to do that once I give you the package it belongs to the post office now so I thank her again with no response back from her, idc all I cared about was my packag. my point is I rather go to the office on 213th street I've never ever had any problems their. The older lady that everybody complains about she should really think about retiring she acts like she hates her job, I definitely couldn't work with her. read more

Avoid this location at all cost. This is my 2nd experience here and both times were Unacceptable. From the Trap music with Profanity being played to the unprofessional staff assisting you. Whom every manages or over sees this location needs to do serious staff development. Your employees need to learn to be professional at all times when working with the public. I use the USPS services all the time, ever since I first moved to the US from Europe around 10 years ago... But I've NEVER SEEN a Post Office as bad, unpleasant and dangerous as the one at the Southbay Pavillion Station (the Carson Mall). 2 weeks ago I sent 3 items: one Apple Macbook Pro 17" brand new, sealed in box ($2500), one brand new Epson printer ($50) and one Canon digital camera. The Apple laptop got lost somewhere between Carson and Los Angeles (within 15 miles radius, for God's sake!...)- it is nowhere to be found... I tried calling all sort of numbers and begging people without any sense of compassion and accountability to try to locate the item. I spent countless hours in pain and angst- no result... The eBay buyer is crying & swearing at me over the phone / in e-mail- poor girl, I feel so bad for her, can totally understand her frustration. I will proceed with refunding her money today, out of my own pocket, and will file an insurance claim... I feel sceptical about it- but nevertheless, wish me luck... The Epson printer arrived in Chicago as planned- but smashed, broken, the ink was leaking, the plastic covers were shattered (it was so well packed!). I went ahead and refunded the money to the buyer; Had to even pay an additional $25 shipment fee... ARGH! The Canon digital camera... what do you think? It got lost too... Good thing is, that was a broken camera: somebody bought it from me for spare parts. If I have to refund their money, I lose only $20 bucks. To make the long story short, what are the odds of having 3 items, sent in that same week, either lost or broken (or... stollen)? Following 10 years of smooth experience, without ANY problems at other locations? Use this Post Office at your own risk! I will never ever step my foot there anymore, and I hope they will close this branch forever. read more

Another reminder why USPS is a terrible option to mail things. A year ago they lost my package. And now they don't make it convenient to mail things.
