I use the USPS services all the time, ever since I first moved to the US from Europe around 10 years ago... But I've NEVER SEEN a Post Office as bad, unpleasant and dangerous as the one at the Southbay Pavillion Station (the Carson Mall). 2 weeks ago I sent 3 items: one Apple Macbook Pro 17" brand new, sealed in box ($2500), one brand new Epson printer ($50) and one Canon digital camera. The Apple laptop got lost somewhere between Carson and Los Angeles (within 15 miles radius, for God's sake!...)- it is nowhere to be found... I tried calling all sort of numbers and begging people without any sense of compassion and accountability to try to locate the item. I spent countless hours in pain and angst- no result... The eBay buyer is crying & swearing at me over the phone / in e-mail- poor girl, I feel so bad for her, can totally understand her frustration. I will proceed with refunding her money today, out of my own pocket, and will file an insurance claim... I feel sceptical about it- but nevertheless, wish me luck... The Epson printer arrived in Chicago as planned- but smashed, broken, the ink was leaking, the plastic covers were shattered (it was so well packed!). I went ahead and refunded the money to the buyer; Had to even pay an additional $25 shipment fee... ARGH! The Canon digital camera... what do you think? It got lost too... Good thing is, that was a broken camera: somebody bought it from me for spare parts. If I have to refund their money, I lose only $20 bucks. To make the long story short, what are the odds of having 3 items, sent in that same week, either lost or broken (or... stollen)? Following 10 years of smooth experience, without ANY problems at other locations? Use this Post Office at your own risk! I will never ever step my foot there anymore, and I hope they will close this branch forever. read more

I don't know what to say about this place. It's better than the post office down the street on Avalon by the Sheriff station, but that isn't saying much. Usually the employees are helpful, but sometimes they can be crabby as hell. Watch out for what time you come here though, as they close earlier than most locations and lock the whole place up, and you can't even get in to access the PO boxes or the shipping supplies. The pickup is also earlier than usual if you have things that absolutely need to go out. Easy parking is probably the biggest plus here, but watch out for the endless stream of idiot drivers in the lot, and also watch out for the obnoxious kids coming out of the school that is in the mall. read more

The only reason I'm giving them one star is because I have to in order to write a review. Let me start by saying that we have the worst mail carrier in the Carson area. He is rude and unfriendly and even a liar! A few years ago I got a dog and all the complaining start. I have to say that yes my dog did scratch him ones but it was because he startled her while my dog was in my yard with me, as soon as he saw her he screamed and my dog is very protective of me so she jump on him. As soon as my dog realizes what happened she ran back to my side. He filed a complaint against us and I didn't filed a complaint back because in a way my dog did get close to him. But recently he has filed another two complaints against me just because my dog sits at the door that leads to my garage. No barking or anything else has happened. I have installed a fence and put my mail box outside on the sidewalk. This past time the mail carrier said "fuck you" to my dad as he apologized for nothing, because my dog was still sitting inside my house while all this was going on. When I went to the post office to pick up my mail and complaint the manager basically said it was my fault and that the mail carrier has been bitten 3 time already, not by my dog but other dogs. She was rude to my husband and I and even agreed that maybe the mailman had a vendetta against my dog and I but yet she expects us to have to pay for a PO box when my dog has done nothing. Oh, when I finely got my mail, there were 3 very important letters that didn't belong to anyone in my house. I personally had to drive the mail to its correct address. I'm currently filling a harassment complaint against the mailman. If anyone else has had a similar issue pls contact me on yelp. read more

This post office isn't actually viewable from Avalon; it's way around the back of Sears, near JC Penney (the facade of which doesn't seem to have received an upgrade for about 25 years, but that's neither here nor there). It's a small office, but has everything you'll need, including PO boxes. If you have already-stamped mail to drop off, there's a drive-through mailbox for your convenience. If you need to go in, there's tons of parking. I've been to this location twice and neither time have I waited for more than about two people in front of me, and one of those times was April 14th! The employees were helpful both times, I was in and out quickly and without hassle. Incidentally, parents of toddlers: the counter is not a seat for your child. The pen on a chain is not a chew toy for your child, and I hope you didn't mind dealing with the flu your kid probably caught from it. There's a reason I always carry my own pen... read more

Ruth is probably the rudest person I have ever encountered in USPS. It's my first time in this post office and I am never coming back. Very unprofessional, unhelpful and unaccommodating. She refused to help and was irritated at the sight of me. My package that I had left because she refused to scan and give me a receipt for saying, "it's too hard for me to scan them" has not been scanned yet up until now. If I can give this post office zero or negative star rating, I would gladly do so in a heartbeat. But, in the Yelp rating, you have to give a rating of at least one star, which I had no choice. My past visit at this office was the first and last time I will ever step foot into this location. For future customers, if you want to save yourself from a headache or in dealing with a couple of the most toxic, nasty, and sarcastic postal employees, then don't handle your shipping business here. I'm sure that past negative reviews on Yelp on this location are based on the same two employees that I have encountered and commenting about. The two female employees, one in her late 50's and the other in her mid 20's, will laugh in your face and really don't care about treating their customers with respect. Upper management should seriously review this location on how they are handling customer service, especially the two female employees. Especially with this pandemic, many unemployed American workers with far better attitude and customer service skills can replace the current malignant, crappy characters here. And, if they lose their job because of their bad performance, then they'll learn their lesson on the importance of great customer service in the future. If any customers have had a negative experience with any postal office employees, you can file a complaint on their website at USPS.com. Not a bad post office. Came in on a Saturday (open 9 to 2), and service was quick with short lines. Got in and got out for what I came to do. Certainly a breeze compared to Long Beach branches. FYI, it's located on the "back" side of the shopping center, near Sears. My GPS recognized that it was in the South Bay Pavilion, but not the specific location within the mall. Today I went to the Carson Mall post office and was happy to see 3 clerks, none of which was the black skinny lady who was rude to me last time. Waited a short time, the lady who processed my packages was nice, efficient, and I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I love that this post office is open on Saturday, as I work during the week and it's hard for me to get to the post office to mail my packages. They also have a great selection of greeting cards inside the office. If I had more time I would have bought more cards for the next wedding, graduation, or birthday occasion. Ms Keyes needs god in her life. I went in to ship and asked a couple questions. She's mean, loud, rude and talks down to you as if youre a stupid human being. Makes you feel uncomfortable, attacked and disrespected. Someone needs to seriously speak to her about having better customer service skills. Something is going on with our mail. There was no mail delivery on 10/4,5. Then we received the mail for 10/4&5 on Thursday 10/6. Mail was delivered after 10pm on the 11th. There was no mail on 10/12. I called and spoke to a supervisor who said that they were training new people. I ask why we did not get mail on the 12th and her response was that the mail carrier was scared and and brought the mail back. I responded that maybe she should not be on our route.. This is a stupid and a ridiculous response. Our mail comes from 5472 Crenshaw Blvd, Julian Dixon Post Office. Our mail was delivered Sunday, October 9th for Friday. We have bills coming in and I guess the Post Office do not care about it's customer. Something needs to be done. Yelp is my first start and I will continue until the service is adequate. I am quite sure the Pres of US gets his mail in a timely manner. We are very upset. Our regular mail person is pregnant and has been out. read more

Ms. Keyes is very very VERY rude! I was in there, with one other person, filling address out on envelopes and she very harshly replies "You need to go outside to fill that out, I don't want people thinking you're in line!" We were no where close in line formation plus we have mouths we can always easily say "I'm not in line." One customer snapped back at her and I see she didn't make her go fill envelope outside. Smh. She tells the girl "I'm only human!" I get to her window and I accidentally put the wrong zip code on envelope "This is wrong zip code, I can't send this!" I ask her to try another zip code in which she stops and gives me a dirty look. I say "I'm only human" She puts in correct zip code with attitude. She didn't want to send package with a passion! She wanted to put me out like she did and say "come back with correct zip code!" She looks at watch and tells everyone "we are closing in 5 minutes". The customer she also snapped at told her that they had closed post office 10 minutes earlier that week. She says NOT ME!! I don't never do that! Ms. Keyes, if you don't like your job or servicing public, DO SOMETHING ELSE instead of taking it out on customer. Why be unhappy and depressed everyday. Stevie Wonder could see you're not happy with your life or self. She desperately needs anger management and customer service training, her service and attitude is absolutely horrendous. I suffer from anger outbursts and have been actively going to court mandated anger management therapy for the last 2 years. My therapist suggested that I go to this particular post office an hour before closing as a final "boss level" test my newly acquired coping skills. I'm happy to say I'm cured! The staff here truly has an attitude that would give any normal person a brain aneurism. The anger and impertinent vibe is palatable the moment you open the door. I'm not religious, but if hell was something that exists, this place would be it! I wish I could give 5 stars for being the ultimate test of patience and exercise in self control for not reaching over the counter and strangling anyone (almost went to jail for that) but I can only give 4 stars since the facility did not have any available water fountains... because I sure as heck needed a glass of water and I bet the staff could have some too! My package has sat at this facility for five days waiting to be shipped to Chicago. Absolute waste of tax dollars

I live in Carson and go to the Post Office at the Carson Mall location. I mailed a graduation card to my Granddaughter on the 8th of June and when she received it the envelope had been placed in an envelope from them saying sorry it was 'damaged.' It had been sliced at the bottom and the contents were missing. There was no bar code on the bottom of the original envelope and the stamps had not been cancelled. I took the mail inside the Post Office and put them in the mail slot. If I open someone's mail other than mine it's a Federal offense. I was told when I called the Postmasters office I shouldn't mail gift cards or cash. Should I worry also about mailing copies of Birth Certificates, drivers driver's licences or other important papers. I get such horrible Customer Service there but this is so unacceptable read more

I don't know if this hell hole was a post office or the military entrance processing center.. Man i really felt like i was at the processing center again. I mean i'm used to people giving me orders, but man this was different. The workers on 06 July 2019 was pretty darn rude to all of the customers i've seen walk in. It was about an hour before closing and all the workers had the worst attitude and gave the snarkiest remarks to customers just asking a simple question. It's amazing how people with ZERO customer service skills could work in a place like this. I know it's been a long day, but come on don't put it out on the customers. This was the first USPS i've been to where I had to buy tape to pack up my package. I didn't even know we had to.. or all the USPS i've been to were just nice and let me use their tape. The lady who was "helping" me out also was rushing me and saying "OMG i don't have all day" while I was filling out the information she asked me for on the box I was shipping out. After that she just threw my box into the little cart after I said I was shipping my PC. I just hope my computer gets to the destination in working condition. Friendly, costumer friendly, and pleasant are words that CANNOT be used to describe this Post office. The workers there are extremely blunt and rude altogether. Never once have I received such rude costumer service. I went in to send international mail and the lady said if I wanted "Express Mail" because she said it'll get there faster. Apparently she left out the part where Express Mail is only in the US and not in other countries so my package got to the other country in 4-5 weeks. While the woman clearly said it'll be there in 7-9 days. So we paid additional for something that was clearly just standard shipping. Okay, well the package got there late, better late than never, right? BUT THAT CAN'T BE SAID SINCE MY PACKAGE NEVER GOT THERE. It came back, RUINED. The package came back completely ruined, and apparently it was ruined on the way OUT of the US. I got several items here, and I had to go in TWO times to claim my insurance claim and they gave me this BS form. The form wasn't even helpful since I called the Online services and they said that the form given to me was of no use. Workers here try to intimidate with their stern voices, but being around girls my whole life, AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR SASSY WOMEN. Basically, this Post Office is so bad with packages. This is isn't my first time hearing about packages going lost or damaged after using this Post Office. I'd recommend going somewhere else f you want to send something. I dropped off two packages and BOTH of them are lost. The post office didn't even scan them when I dropped them off so there is no record of the package being dropped off to be shipped. I called and they stated that they were instructed not to scan packages because they received too many. I paid for priority 2 day shipping and its been over 10 days with no delivery made or update. This is not the first time I have had a problem with this location but its the closest one to my house. I will avoid it at all costs in the future unless I'm just buying stamps. read more

This USPS location is great! I've never been a fan of the USPS as a whole, and I do all my shipping needs online, but during this day, I had to make a visit to a physical location. Initially this location may be hard to find because it is located in the backside of the mall, so you will need to enter the parking lot of the mall near the Sears area. A great tip about this USPS location is that they are open on weekends until 2PM, when most other locations are closed. Upon entrance, there wasn't a long line of people, and service was very quick. The worker I dealt with was very kind and courteous. She asked me how my day was going and started small talk with me, making me feel like I wasn't just talking to a robot like so many other places do. Overall I was pleased with this visit and the team here so far! read more

This post office is joke. A worker literally exasperated in my husbands face and asked why is he there will all these packages?! Um excuse me!! We own a business. We only ship USPS. We spend 10's of thousands of dollars here a year and to be treated so rudely every single time when we are forced to ship from this location is ridiculous. So apparently there is a new policy that they don't accept packages to be scanned in after 5 o clock even though they don't close until 6! He was told they are putting the sign up tomorrow. We shouldn't be forced to drive outside of the city to have a better experience with shipping packages. The only thing that ever needs to be done is the mail to be scanned. We need these receipts for various reasons. Everything is ALWAYS pre labeled and pre paid. For going on 6 years this location get worse with every interaction. When asked to speak with a manger he was told there wasn't one on site, I find that hard to believe that a government office (this terrible United States Post Office) is left with no manager!! I really hope someone reputable sees this review and fixes the issues. It's pretty disgusting. And I'm mad that I had to even put one star on this review. This place sucks and the workers need to be replaced by people who actually value having a job. Being a Customer service manager at one of the biggest company's in the US I know what it takes to retain a customer. We aren't asking for a smile, or for a nice tone we just want them to do their job and not be disrespectful...PERIOD. read more

And for whatever reason, it seemed like every single person in front of me was indecisive or just didn't know why they were at the Post Office in the first place. But that wasn't the fault of the people working there. Although I could tell that one of the ladies' working behind the counter had probably had her fill of confused customers for the day. Possibly the nicest USPS staff. I have an online business so i have to send out a bunch of packages every week, and i've been to countless USPS locations. Today, I went to this post office for the first time since i was by the area. The staff were extremely nice! They were all smiles! I have never seen any USPS location staff even close to how nice they were. They should be the model of USPS workers. Wish this place was closer to my place, i would go here for all my post office needs. Oh and one last thing, finding this place was pretty confusing since it's in the big plaza and the office itself was pretty small. It is behind Sears by the cinema. read more

This post office is located behind mall next to sears they offer full service, the line can get long but it's the post office. The customer service is exceptional and the staff is very friendly, I work for the Torrance post office and do not do business there because of their poor communication skills, this is my go to post office. read more

I always go to this post office because it has convenient hours, a good location and there is Always parking. Even when it is crowded I'm never in line longer than 5-10 min. This location is sooooooooo much better than the one down at 21350 S Avalon Blvd.! The people are friendlier and pleasant. I marvel that there is no plexiglass! What, what year am I in? No barrier between customer and worker...nice! The only complaint I have is if you only need stamps, the post offices around here do not have a self-serve machine. It's the closet post office to me. I'm in here quite a few times a week and it's like some people don't know how to do their job. If I come in with packages that are prepaid that doesn't mean I don't want then scanned & a receipt for them to keep the tracking info handy but on more than one occasion I've been told that they can't do that. What's the difference from having a prepaid usps package and purchasing that same shipping label there? I've had previous issues with them not scanning my package and it disappears and never gets to it's destination. So today the lady suggested that I take my packages to the Carson main branch because she doesn't want to scan all of 2 packages! I would take my packages to the main branch if they weren't the location that was caught throwing their mail in the trash!! ... And it'd be nice if they actually kept the priority mailing & domestic boxes & envelopes stocked and not just the flat rate ones. read more
