I had a package of collectibles worth about $250 coming out Monday which was good because I was leaving for Vegas on Wednesday. It wound up being delayed until Tuesday which was still ok. I was waiting for the delivery when my delivery notice doorbell sound popped up on my phone. My wife went to the door a couple of minutes later and there was nothing there. Of course you can't contact the local FedEx to contact the driver to ask him what happened. You can only talk to their central call center which is usually a lost cause. I told them to look at the proof of delivery picture which just shows part of a box. Look for yourself and tell me if you could figure out anything about what it was, where it was delivered or even if it was delivered. The driver could have kept it for himself based on that useless picture since the name of the company is on the boxes they ship merchandise in showing what kind of merchandise is inside. The call center was no help. When I called the next day, an automated message said the case was closed and to contact the shipper. Fortunately, I'd sent an email to them as soon as I checked all the neighbors houses to confirm it hadn't been left at a nearby house since I checked right after receiving the delivery "confirmation" text and found nothing there. These shipments have items that run out and may not be able to be replaced so I had to contact the shipper immediately. I've been a customer for years so they know my reputation and sent a replacement order immediately after seeing the "proof of delivery" picture. I really wish I could meet with the driver so I could have a nice "conversation" with this clown. I know FedEx would never provide me this information. A shame. Most times, there are no problems with FedEx but when a bad apple is making deliveries, things go downhill fast. read more

Where do I start.... received an email stating I wasn't home and tag left on the door. Ummmm, I've been home all day waiting for my delivery and nothing. Not only that... a tag was NOT left on my door. I've experienced this 3 other times prior to covid. Express shipping is priority which should have been delivered earlier. I've been here a few times but never really dealt with staff because I just did quick drop offs. And the day came through when I did have to come face to face with one of them. There was only one staff member and she was already busy tending to the customer ahead of me. It looked like it was going to be a complicated transaction, so she immediately acknowledged and told me she'd be with me "in a bit." I was t really in any kinda hurry, so it was no biggie. As that customer's needs were getting more complex (it required her to complete paperwork) she asked her to step aside so she can help me. My stuff was good to go but not without a couple of questions, but I was outta there in less than a minute. She was jovial and friendly. I had to return an item back to Gucci... I came here and wasn't sure of how the shipping worked since I was given a label. Upon arrival it was empty a young lady came out and greeted my kiddo and I, we started to converse and I explain that I needed a box. She stated you actually get one free since you have the label. I was so thankful because I really didn't know the process. She was so friendly and kind. She asked if my kiddo could have Candy and I agreed. Samsung received the package and let me know that there was no phone inside the box. I made a file complaint and their response was my file was denied because FedEx does not accept liability for concealed damage under the Return Options Program. I tried to reach out and no response. I was expecting a package and I get an email that the driver attempted to deliver. So now if I want my package the same day. I now have to go to FedEx center to pick it up. I was home all day and no FedEx driver even arrived nor any delivery driver attempted to deliver anything to me. Out of all the delivery services out there, FedEx has to be the top worse of them all. Just to mention, it wasn't even late. The supposed delivery attempt happened at 1:07pm. This just tells me the driver took a longer lunch or just selectively dropped off which package they felt like dropping off. Mind you my package was only less than 5lbs. I very rarely, - probably never, have written a bad review; - I normally take up any problem with a business directly with them, rather than to lambast them publicly. But FedEx is so hopelessly messed up that I have to warn off other possible customers. I will not write a long description of how I found out how incompetent and badly run this company is, but I will say that the staff at Gardena office have no idea, and have not been trained to find out good information and tell it to the customer. Just wanted to give a warm thank you to Miss Jeannette (?) who helped me out yesterday. With the holidays and my stress level rising I was having a very frantic day. I taped my box with duct tape and didn't realize you couldn't. She helped me wrap it in clear tape and told me to take my time. Lousy delivery service. A package that was supposed to be delivered on Saturday, was never received. I received a notification from FedEx that the business was closed and couldn't be delivered. This is a residence and I was home at 9 AM when delivery was attempted. Despite the fact FedEx has my phone number, no one attempted to call me to verify anything with me. Do not get comfortable with this place and expect it to be smooth. I've had same encounters with the same kind of people for the past years. I send my package the same way i always have, and they always have to tell me that they have to check if this package is appropriate. I literally have been going to this same place for over a year and they still cant tell if my package is good to go. Nothings changed, same as always. And also note that the hours in this place are not always accurate. You can go in one day trying to deliver a package and they will tell you they changed their hours. 6:15pm use to be the cutoff now they dropped it to 5:30pm! I have no complaints for the Fedex hub I frequent. When there is a line, the reps move it along quickly, and they are all pleasant and cooperative with whatever the package details may involve. There have been a few times packages have been misdirected / lost, but I do not fault the reps at the front. I was suppose to receive a package that required a signature for delivery. I was home all day and I received a notification that fedex made an "attempt". No tag/receipt and no video from my ring. I called Fedex once i received the notification, spoke with two representatives that gave me conflicting information about my package. They gave me the run around and told me to pick up my package once it reaches it's final destination. I went to this fedex location to pick up my package and the staff was completely rude. Came here for a simple pickup and the lady behind the counter had the hardest time processing a simple request. I was there to pick up a package after receiving a text from FedEx that my order had arrived. The lady at the counter kept asking for a tracking number, which I didn't receive from the sender; however, I did provide the FedEx package number, name, address, and other details of the FedEx delivery. Apparently that wasn't enough so she asked to see the text notification, which I immediately showed her on my phone. When she couldn't enlarge the text to see the package number, she pressed on the number, which prompted the phone to display a call prompt. I noticed what was happening and tried to help by closing the call notification. When I did, she snapped and said "I was looking at that!" Ladies and gents, you can't make this stuff up. This lady actually had the audacity to tell me what I can/can't do with my own phone. I resisted the urge to reprimand; instead, I actually apologized because the success of the final delivery/pickup of an extremely important package was in her hands. After what seemed like many aching minutes on the computer, she finally decided to check the hold packages. 15 feet of walking and a minute later- voila! Behold, the package! That wasn't hard, right? The lady working at the counter had such a negative attitude and it didn't help that she arrived 5 minutes before her shift (I was the first customer when the store opened so I saw her pull into the employee lot). I hate to say it, but the truth is, some people are just not meant to be in a customer facing role. People should always aim to do things with a glad and happy heart. Whatever the job may be- whether it's serving food at a restaurant or fixing teeth- you should always set high standards and try to be the best at what you do. In the past month, this FedEx location's driver has managed to frustrate & upset me when delivering my package. I paid money to have my package delivered next day by 8:00 p.m. It was 7:45 p.m. and no package. I began to worry as I was waiting medication that was needed for early morning. I began to stress all the way up to 8:00 p.m. - still NO PACKAGE. The driver finally pulls up to my residence at 8:01 p.m. and takes his damn time getting out of his truck. I'm standing in my driveway waiting for him. Get an email update that my package was delivered at 8:00 p.m - THAT WAS A LIE! Today, the driver supposedly said he knocked on my door & that no one answered. ANOTHER LIE as there were 3 people home! I hate using fedex for this very reason: you order something for delivery and they don't even attempt to deliver. Been here waiting and instead they just leave a note on the door. Try calling and they literally said that they were lying about when it would be delivered to get us to not complain. We try to just change it to pickup and they said they can't do that on their end and to call another number. They can't do anything about it either. I wish I could give this location (and FEDEX as a company) zero stars. They are extremely incompetent and beyond deceitful. They updated the system as if I was not at home and they attempted a delivery at 2:48 PM. When I complained and they called me back they said that the driver would not come out of the car because the "dogs were out". So I asked how come he/she did not try to call me. Get this, the CSR's response was "we cannot ask them to use their own phone during work hours." What good is providing the phone then (I guess so that Fedex can telemarket me to death)? BTW, there was no Fedex tag that was left by the driver of the "attempted delivery". I do not want to even mention how rude the CSR was. Then I called Fedex's so called "Customer Advocate department" - boy are they are joke. Effectively they told me that my only two options were to go down to the local store this evening myself or wait until tomorrow and they will deliver it by 8PM. Really??? So I need to keep my dogs locked up all day or experience the same "attempted delivery"? Very helpful. Very. I dread whenever anyone ships me something by FedEx as it gets routed through Fedex's Gardena location. They are simply AWFUL and I never know if it will take 2, 3 4, 5 days to arrive.
