Strike #1: I came across a scammer via Facebook Market today. This "Pep Jones" wanted me to send an item through FedEx instead of Facebook's pre-paid labels. He insisted that he preferred CashApp instead of Facebook. Strike #2: This piece of scum wanted me to use CashApp (which I find sketchy) and wanted me to ship it before receiving payment. After I refused to, he kept insisting that he wasn't a scammer and has done business with this account many, many times. I paid Planet Express $120.62 for shipping and insurance. On Feb. 12, 2022, Planet Express shipped my package with a tracking number to Asia. Tracking information stopped on March 01, 2022, within the U.S.A. On March 12, 2022, I filed a missing mail report with the USPS. On March 29, 2022, I filed a claim with Planet Express. On March 31, an administrator, Angel Ocampo responded that a follow-up message would come in ten days. Ninety (90) days after submitting my claim; On July 17, I learned from Elizabeth Zavel of PE, that staff did not search for my package and supposedly my claim was escalated to a Manager. And I would receive an update on my claim by the end of the week. After several more email exchanges with Elizabeth Zaval, Her repeated response was, "Please be advised that the carrier has been experiencing delays and that we have been reaching out to the carrier to provide us with updates." As of August 27, 2022, I never received any further updates from Planet Express regarding my claim. The USPS stopped searching for my package. I opened Better Business Bureau complaint. My package was never found, I did not receive a refund, and Planet Express did not respond to the BBB complaint. PE simply doesn't care once you file a claim with them, they will continuously lie to you and that is why they have an F rating with California BBB. I listed a prom dress on fb marketplace and a lady by the name of Beverly messaged me saying she'd like it and that she'd pay the full asking price plus $20 for shipping. Yesterday I got an request from a man at Facebook Marketplace. He asked me to do one night shipping and request money via PayPal so he can pay for the camera plus the shipping. It was Sunday so the parcel could be sent only the next day. I requested money and got an email which looked like it was from Paypal, saying that he paid the sum but money will be pended until I show the proof of shipment. I use this package forwarding company to buy items from the USA and have them shipped to me internationally. When you sign up you get a P.O. box where you can ship items that you buy online, and once they arrive at the facility you then pay to have them shipped to your country. They also have a "shop for me" service for stores that do not allow international customers. There's multiple shipping options as well as the option to add insurance. There's also a "special requests" feature where you can ask for photos of your items, bubblewrap, security tape, etc. I've never had any problems with them, all my packages have arrived on time and un-damaged, and the shipping rates are very affordable- far less than what you normally have to pay for international shipping. It's very useful for buying from stores that do not ship internationally or to save on shipping costs and import charges. As for all the reviews regarding a Facebook Marketplace scam- I'm honestly not sure what's happening here but I don't think it has anything to do with the company itself as I have been using their services for a while now and I am not involved in any scams nor have I fallen victim to any. Lost my package without compensation -SUMMARY: No accountability for the mistake they made, which caused me to lose my inventory and shipping freight money, all went down the drain. The package must be abandoned. 4) I've requested Planet Express to pay me back my inventory cost and shipping cost, they refused to do it. So I lost all my inventory money and the shipping money I've paid them, which is more than 200 USD. - CONCLUSION: Planet Express is a company that will Not take any responsibility for the mistakes they've made. This is where everyone that tries to scam you online has their things shipped so they can ship them directly to where they live in another country. The scammers will pay you through a fake credit card or an unsecured payment option like Zelle or Cash app. You will ship the item here and once they receive it they will dispute the transaction or get a refund and take the money back from your account. At that point, they already have your product on the next trip out of the U.S. to wherever they live. Only allow payment through Paypal invoice that YOU send them and do not include any of your personal information. It should be noted that if you use Facebook market place that you might receive a message from someone willing to pay you via PayPal and have it shipped here. The business will NOT help you once the item is received and the scammer will cancel payment leaving you high and dry after next day shipping the item to them. Fortunately this did not happen to me as I Google'd the address and found screen shots of prior victims. I tried calling this place and letting them know what's happening and I can see why the scammers use this location. One is impossible to get hold of a live person and two they could give a sh!t. If you have been scammed by these people, who go by multiple aliases, REPORT THEM TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT. Keep all correspondence, "emails" from PayPal, everything. I filed a report w/ my local department. They were very helpful (found out that my computer was immediately shipped to Africa). Although I was out a brand new MacBook Air and the overnight shipping cost, I also filed an insurance claim with my renter's/homeowner's insurance. I didn't get back the full amount, but it was better than nothing. These people are ruthless. Keep reporting them, and any and all aliases that they use. FYI... FEDEX AND UPS DO NOT SHIP TO THE POST OFFICE (I saw a review that mentioned this is where their parcel was supposedly shipped). The more people report them to the police, the better.
