I have so much negative things to say about this particular post office. First, the old Asian lady that works there is very rude. She meddles with your business like crazy. Second, they lost my package from Nordstrom. I ordered a handbag on Nov 28. And the tracking info that I have states that it was delivered on December 3. I got super busy and it took about a little over a week before I came to get my mail from my p.o box. And I never received a yellow card or a key. So that Saturday, I went there and presented my phone with the tracking info to the middle aged dark skinned Asian guy. He looked at the back and said I dont have anything. And he even said to call Nordstrom to ask for more info. So I did and got the exact time it was signed for and who signed for it. I understand that they're busy but at least help me out here. A few days after, I came back and spoke to the middle aged light skinned Asian guy and he helped me more than the other Asian guy did. This time he asked that I call the next day and gave me a number. At that time, I already gave up. I called Nordstrom and told them the situation and they took care of it right away. It's sad that some people are dishonest. Up to this day, more than a month after I have never heard anything about my missing package. I'm sure one of them is enjoying my handbag. read more

Absolutely horrific experience I had yesterday. I needed to buy stamps, and did and all was well. An older Asian man helped me and he was fine and dandy. I had a few passport questions and he passed me off to rudest, most bitter person I've met in the whole world. She is an elderly woman, also Asian. She asked me if I was a citizen, I said yes. She asked if I was born in the US, I said no. I promptly told her that my parents became citizens when I was a minor, thus making me a citizen. She asked me if I had proof. Well, seeing that I was a child when this went down, I said I wasn't sure exactly and that I'd need to check. She then asked me if I was still a minor, I said no, and she YELLLLLLLS SO LOUDLY people in line heard her scream "YOU ARE NOT A CITIZEN!!" Um, excuse me? She berated me in front of at least 7-10 people in line. She laughed and taunted me, all the while I am trying to explain that I am in fact a citizen. I did not come here to be asked questions about my or anyone's citizenship, I just asked what I needed to bring to get my passport. It was the worst customer service I've ever received and I was so dumbfounded by her behavior that all I could do was ask her to lower her voice and that everyone could hear her yelling. One of the younger employees, Tuan, tried to defend her and tell me she is hard of hearing and doesn't understand English well and perhaps can't hear me (then why on Earth is she working a federal government job?!) and probably to get her to stop screaming at me in front of other people. I felt so embarrassed by the situation that I actually apologized to the people in line. Horrible USPS. Drive to USPS on Magnolia in the Sherman Oaks area. At least the staff there don't yell and scream at people asking to obtain information. read more

I've turned in two change of address forms. I've been to this location. i've called the 800 number. I put my name in HUGE letters on my mailbox. And yet, my family has been trying to send me stuff for Christmas 4 times since Thanksgiving and I've yet to see it. The 3rd time somebody did, because they tried to cash a check that was included, but it sure wasn't me, and luckily the bank stopped it. When I went to talk to them they told me that I can't get mail until the person who lived in my Apt. before me turns in a change of address (I've lived there for 4 months). Apparently USPS thinks its impossible for anyone to ever add a roommate or relocate. So we're on send number 4 now, and they overnighted it, and according to the tracking it was delivered. But go ahead and guess if it was in my mailbox or not. Look. I understand they laid off half the mail people. Shorted operation hours. Whatever. Actually zero stars for customer service. I had a parcel of mail I was expecting that was mailed first class within the Southern California area. After 7 business days I never got the mail and put in a formal inquiry. I just got the nastiest call from a lady at the post office giving me a lecture how anything valuable should be sent with tracking and it wasn't packaged properly. I advised no matter what, the item was in their care and they are initially responsible for it. She continued to argue with me about how they lose small packages due to improper packaging. I reiterated that they should be more careful with the parcels. She said next time send it with tracking and I told her we sent it through another carrier. Then she hung up on me. My beef with this particular post office comes from dropping off a package around 3pm on a Thursday and there being no movement or activity or scanning of the package until 9am Saturday. I periodically check the tracking number of packages I send out and I was perplexed as to why there was no activity on this package for almost 42 hours. Maybe it got kicked under a table or forgotten or something but the office manager there could not give me a satisfactory explanation. I paid almost $18 to ship this package. They completely suck! Can USPS be totally replaced? I had an iPhone screen coming in from Hong Kong and the mailman calls me from the front door of my building on Syntex, I let him in and he asked if I'm home; I say "Yes"; He asked if I can come down to pick it up I say "No" and nicely asked if he can come at the door. He said "Yes" but instead I find a "missed you' delivery slip. So i decide to go at he post office and pick my parcel up, but there's a 45 min line !!! So for 2 minutes that he could have taken extra to actual knock at the door I have to take an hour to go at the post office... Average passport processing office with some issues. *** Came here Dec '13 to take care of passport processing. I was sent here by a passport processing agency in Santa Monica. Not every post office offers this service unfortunately. I can't comment on the post office's other services offered at this location. There are some positives to this service. Most importantly, my passport documents were processed without issue. The staff were cordial, if not the most helpful. I have no expectations of anyone being friendly in a government office. The post office is sorta nice to look at from the outside. Its not hard to find parking in the lot, even when the place gets busy. Although I did not have much direction with shipping, I did notice that the lines moved fairly efficiently despite it being the holiday season. From one end of the line, it seemed as if customers waited no longer that ten minutes to reach a clerk. The lines didn't extend out of the immediate customer service office. Location is convenient, if you're closer to the 5 fwy. It might be 10-15 mins drive from the 134 fwy depending on traffic. I found there was a gastropub within 5 mins walk from this location. There were some issues. I was pretty shocked with the 2:45pm to 3:45pm 'lunch break'. Who does that? Admittedly some of the aggravation was my own fault, as I was in a rush to avoid as much traffic as possible with my drive back to west LA. At 4:05 the passport office finally opens up. There is no support if you arrive unprepared. The rush passport processing requires a good deal of paperwork that you need to have printed on paper and completed prior to visiting, two passport appropriate photos. The fee is around $200, which they process here. I do recommend considering a passport processing agency. It will cost more, but it increases the chances that things will get done, especially if urgency is a priority. Part of me think that such businesses exist because government passport offices like this just arent prepared enough to service such needs. I hope not to go through this process again anytime soon. read more

It seems that, at least in California, there is a kind of rivalry between the state-run DMV and the federally-run Post Office for who can offer the most horrible, infuriating experience possible. It begins with the long lines. Always, always the long lines. I have yet to go through a complete Post Office experience in less than 45 minutes. While standing in line, you notice that there are only, at most, two people behind the counter. One additional person is usually just screwing around. Mind you, this is basic clerical work, not rocket science. Weigh the package, slap a label on it, charge the person, yell "Next!" and repeat. We could be paying high school students minimum wage to do this, and the only side effect we'd see is that the work would happen quicker. My advice to those of you who must venture into the post office: Bring at least two gallons of water, toiletries, a tent, some kind of barbituate tranquilizer (I recommend 20mg diazepam qid), and cyanide pellets to off yourself if things get real bad. Note: I was forced to administer, at minimum, one star for this review. This is inaccurate, since it implies that on some basic level there may have been some part of the experience that did not cause me to want to stab my eyes out. If I could give this post office negative stars I would. This is hands down the WORST post office in the area. I am not basing this off one bad visit, I have been to this post office numerous times and it's always awful. The staff is inept, at times rude, and difficult. I have brought packages here with pre paid slips that are always a problem here - they try to charge me even though the shipping has been paid already. The shipping slips I use are calculated based off the exact weight and dimensions of each package and yet still the staff here can't figure it out. After having the staff here have trouble with my packages and then try to charge me I have left and taken them to either post office on Laurel Canyon or way over on Magnolia/Whitsett and had them literally scan them and say thank you. This is the post office where after going here you wish the government would close down the post offices because of the staff here. Do yourself a favor and go to either the annex on Laurel Canyon or the post office on Magnolia, they're both way way better. read more

So finally I spoke with someone who was able to track where my package was he informed me that the usual mail man wasn't on that day that another one dropped my package off near a church at 6PM, Ummm.... I don't live anywhere near a church and since when did they deliver after 5? I was further informed that since they have no record of the house and since the mail man can't remember where he took it to my only option was to file a claim and wait to see if it was approved. SHIPPER BEWARE. Even if packages are HANDED DIRECTLY to USPS employees at this station, they take no responsibility for theft or loss or damage. They will not scan them into the system as being received, and the loading sock in the back is literally a free for all. I have had many packages stolen from here, each time I can give info as to the date and EXACT time I dropped off, but never has an investigation actually produced any results. Its scary, especially for a business owner who relies on USPS heavily to run their business. Just recently I had packages disappear from this station for days, only to turn up at an entirely different station completely empty of their contents. THIS STATION IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY. And what's even worse, it looks like all burbank post offices route TO this station, so there is no way in this town to avoid it. Depending on what time you go, this place can be a mad house with no parking or access can be relatively easy. Regardless of how busy it is there always seems to be a line and the line always seems to move slowly. More than half the time the package drop box is broken which is a bit inconvenient but what I have discovered is you can just drop your box to the far right part of the counter and alleviate the line (this assumes you bought postage online). This post office is horrible, It's the way it's managed. I've worked for a large company here in Burbank for over 35 years. in the last couple of years it has gotten so bad. Inconstant delivery times, won't bring our mail one day, and then twice as much the next. You would not believe how much wrong mail (may even be some of yours) we receive on a daily basics, including accountable mail and have to route back to the post office. If I could give 0 stars I would. This post office and mail delivery has gone down so quickly I don't even know how to rate it. My mail is delivered at different times each day and often is not delivered on Saturdays. My packages have been left out in the rain or jammed so hard into my mailbox that it has destroyed the packaging. A postal worker broke my mailbox one day, came to my door to tell me to fix it and when I called to complain no one would talk to me. I went into the office with my baby in tow (no easy task) TWICE and the worker took down my info and told me that David Hernandez was the supervisor to talk to. After many calls and in person visits to try to get him, he would not talk to me. Many times from them, from damaged, lost and late packages to incorrect postage they have had the attitude of "too bad". I often go into the office to mail packages and 3 times in this past year alone their scales have been off and the item has arrived postage due. I use them for eBay shipments which is often so being on time and correct postage is important. I would hope that when I take the time to go into the office, wait in line and have them weigh it that it would be the appropriate postage. For some reason the mail at my business has had a new person delivering everyday, for about the past 3 weeks. Today another new person showed up to deliver our mail and also interrupted my conversation with a paying customer to solicit business for a recycling company. So i attempted to call customer service to let them know a federal employee was soliciting business, but that did not work so well because I had to hang up after sitting on hold for 30+ min. I do not even know where to begin! This post office (along with most post offices) suffers from poor management, not enough employees and horrible mail delivery workers who do not leave packages at your door or knock for certified mail. It seems as though many people who are in the (on average) 20 person line have those salmon colored slips to pick up a package that was not even attempted to be delivered. (I know because I was home all day and never heard a knock on my door) So if the postal workers coming out of this facility were better at their jobs then there would not be such a long line...and I mean like a line you wait in for over an hour on average. If they had properly staffed this facility then the line would move faster and if management would help by encouraging people to use the self serve terminal then this would also be better. If there was a spot on the corner, at the end of the counter, that you could hand your packages to someone after using the self serve (because you cannot put an envelope over 13 ounces in the mail slot, you must go to the window) this would be more efficient as well. All in all I dread going here, smaller post offices have more windows open and less people with those salmon colored pick up slips... AVOID IT AT ALL COST! read more

I don't often leave negative reviews but this Post Office has the absolute worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Every time we have a substitute post person deliver our mail she gives a huge attitude to us and our neighbors and will be rude about us walking our dogs even if we're on the other side of the street. She will literally yell across the street to be malicious about us walking our dogs and minding or business. Today we had a package so we left the dogs at the house and went to our apartment gate to get the package. She heard the dogs barking inside and refused to deliver our package until the dogs stopped. After telling her a million times that they're in the house and can't get to her we had to practically grab our package from her hand. She was refusing to give us the package while the dogs could be heard. If this wasn't bad enough, we called to complain to the Post Office because we've had enough of her attitude and our neighbors are absolutely fed up as well. We were greeted with the rudest person we've ever had the displeasure to speak with. She was accusatory towards us saying it must've been our dogs that were acting crazy and our fault to deal with it even though we told her the dogs were 45 feet away inside a house. She said that since the woman never had a complaint against her that we must be LYING about it. After too long of her awful attitude we got nothing accomplished except being blamed and her demanding to know our exact address (even though she knew exactly who we were talking about from the street we gave). We can only imagine why she demanded that as harshly as she did. I know we're stuck with whatever Post Office were dealt with but their attitudes and awful service deserve to be aware to the public. Unfortunately I live in the area this office "serves". They certainly love to make your life very difficult and at times costly due to their: laziness, lack of care, and/or stupidity. I had a package from overseas RETURNED because the carrier couldn't distinguish a 7 to be a 1 so he returned it and now I HAVE TO PAY for it to be redelivered. I have anxiety already thinking of the twist it may take. I've had scheduled pickups returned to me days later for no reason. So much for Priority mail quick delivery. Other post offices I used to frequent (and never had issues with over 55,000 items sent) can't fathom the stories I tell them. The lack of caring for the neighborhood and trying to be nice is not on their mission statement. I've had packages delivered to a different address only to land up missing. I am going to admit I lost my temper at him because that was purely racist,biased and everything in between,trying to blame me out of everyone else in line (mostly white) I was NOT the only one with packages and I am not an idiot that is going to pay for this idiot lady using up the tape. He says I'm sorry and then walks over to the lady and still goes on to say "Hi miss I am not sure if she or you used the tape but I need one of you to pay for it" btw he used a WHOLE DIFFERENT TONE OF VOICE WITH HER. ARE.YOU.KIDDING.ME. He still tells her that he is "not sure"?this is what really pissed me off HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW AT ALL WHO USED THE TAPE IN THE FIRST PLACE. He could of easily solved the situation by just saying out loud, "Excuse me did any of you use this tape?" I am sure someone would of admitted to using it. I'm not sure why this post office has an average rating of 2 stars but it's literally the only one I've ever been to where every employee has been kind and polite and friendly (even during these high stress Covid times)! It's always clean, even when they have long lines the wait is never that long. An employee happily walked me through the process of using their self serve kiosks as well! This is by far the best post office in LA and I'm serious. Their parking is no problem, customer service is excellent. If the line is long, they make sure to help at the machine as well to move the line. They are the only post office in North Hollywood, Burbank, Toluca Lake, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, I think even Glendale that are open till 6:30pm during the week and of course Saturday till 2pm. I'm here once a week and not once did I have an issue or can complain about. read more

THE MAIN POST OFFICE IN BURBANK! I really like the fact that this is the main post office where you can get your passport done and what ever else you need for mailing. I really do like the facility, yet since it is the main office in burbank (where all the mail comes to then gets shipped to sacramento... then else were)... but they are always busy and really long lines. The main thing I love about this place... its close to my house and their open on SATURDAYS! Yayee... for all the busy companys and eBay shippers, I highly recommend coming here for your shipping needs. This place totally blows!! I have been waiting for more than a week to have my dog's glaucoma meds shipped to me from Pasadena (which shouldn't take more than a couple of days). I called the vet's office and they confirmed that the meds had shipped on September 11th. Just checked the mail again and it's still not here. Tried to call the post office to see if it got hung up there. The phone literally rang for FIVE MINUTES (I timed the call) and no one ever answered. SCREW YOU, USPS!!! I used to love this post office. The people used to be friendly and helpful. Having a PO Box there was a joy. But in the last few years, I always left this office a little annoyed. Once I was waiting for a very important letter from the FBI for a background check for a travel visa and I find out later that this office returned to sender!!! WTF??? That cost me $50 bucks to do the fingerprints and now I had to redo the whole process. They didn't even have the decency to apologize. The woman that "helped" me acted like it was somehow my fault because I didn't change my last name to my married name. So they thought the mail did not belong to that PO Box and returned it to the Govt. OMG, my husband and I have had that PO Box there for years. You're telling me you haven't figured out that that's my mail??? If she just took responsibility and said sorry I don't think I would have been as mad. Maybe it wasn't her fault, maybe it was a new worker. Something. But of course it was MY fault. Also I travel a lot for work, sometimes my mail gets piled up. One worker had the nerve to tell me to pick up my mail more often. Hello? That's none of your damn business. I recently decided that I just didn't want to return to this office ever again. But I needed to close out my PO Box account. I also had an oversized package waiting for me. I never had to deal with this process before so I stood in line to find out what I do. I tell the"information" person while waiting in line that I was here to close my PO Box and to pick up a package. He instructs me on how to use the locker and sends me there to get my package. But then when I returned, I had to stand in line all over again to close my PO Box. A**hole. It was like they wanted to screw me one last time. By the way, that oversized package wasn't even addressed to me or my PO Box. Apparently, some moron that works at that office does not even know their alphabets or numbers. Ok, I'm moving on. I go to the post office every day to mail various things and if I miss the pickup at the Olive Street location in Burbank on Saturday (last pick up is 3 p.m.), I have to drive over to this location. 5 p.m. is their last pickup on Saturdays. I generally try to do everything at all the post offices via online labeling or self service because, lets face it.... there is always a line at all the locations. A very, very, very long line. It doesn't matter what day of the week or time of day... it seems there is no less than 10+ people in line. This is the main post office in Burbank and they do have passport services if you need them. This also has quite a wait and the hours are limited. Pack a little extra patience in your back pocket. read more

I've recently moved to the valley from Mid L.A. and though i have not used this Post Office for window service, I do like this location compared to other USPS offices in the local area. There are a few drive through blue boxes which is good when you are on the go, and don't want to just pull over and find a spot , get out and walk just to drop off your letters/bills, etc. Evening service here is also a plus, as the doors are still open even after the windows are closed. You can use the machines to weigh heavy post and print out your sticker and also a large box for mailing packages or if you have a PO Box and need late access to them. read more
