I've had my PO Box on Olive for about 3 years. Initially, everything was kosher but then things started to happen, like only having the boxes available when they are open. They once put a key to the package locker at the edge of my box, their side, noticable when I opened the box, I am too short so I have to take a picture to make sure I get everything out. Several times they have delivered my mail to the wrong address and shoved the phone number to the Hollywood way office so that I could call and resolve the problem they created. One day I asked for help and the clerk snapped back at me asking why he needed to leave the counter wasting his time to help me (this was the time they left the package locker key hanging on the edge on their side). Last, are the countless emails I get stating my mail has arrived, either for pick up at the counter or im my box, only to travel there by bus to find out my mail is still over on Hollywood way. I have two issues with this post office. 1. Your mail carrier is on his phone constantly and everyday while delivering the mail. I can hear him talking while delivering on my block. I haven't received packages that were claimed "DELIVERED"to my address. Probably because he wasn't paying attention since he was so engrossed in his conversation and the person who receives my packages never returns them. 2. He claimed to deliver a package and then left a noticed in my mailbox that said I wasn't home and to pick it up the next day. When I called the P.O., and told them that I'm always home and no one rang the doorbell, they told me that the carrier is afraid to interact with people because of COVID and my package needed a signature, but he doesn't want anyone touching his signature device. It's incredibly unfortunate that this location is the main post office in the area. This isn't my first issue at this location but the first that really warrants a review. Vince who seems like the lead at this location is so unprofessional & argumentative; He is unwilling to help resolve any issues with missing packages & has no respect for privacy. He announced my full address across a FULL room of customers to an employee on the other side of the room. And when I asked him to please not do that, his response was, "this is the post office, everyone already knows your address." I understand it may be close to closing time, but a persons private information should never be compromised, not to mention he just hurried me out & refused to help with my missing package. read more

STOLEN ITEMS -- We have had several packages that were claimed to have been "delivered" from USPS stolen. Amazon and FedEX have no problem. The only reason I am giving the office two star because then normal mail delevery guy is very nice. This review is just for dealing with the Burbank post office or trying to reach someone at the Burbank office. The phone has been ringing for ten minutes and no one is picking up then it hangs up on me. It did that twice. I guess they don't care about customer service at this office. It has also been taking three weeks to deliver a piece of mail across town which is crazy. I hope their can be a new National Post Master appointed soon because Louis DeJoy who they have now is just awful. The post office over the past 2 years has been going in a downward spiral. I have called my local office and the phone is constantly busy so I called the 800 # and literally sat on hold for 55 min. I put it on speaker and let it sit just to see how far it would go and lost the connection cuz my phone died. geeez give a girl a break. I had a pretty subpar experience dealing with Gretchen over the phone yesterday. I had two packages that were delivered on November 30th, except one was never delivered. The package that was delivered was scanned at 2:40, the other was 2:46. I checked my porch camera and no one ever came to my porch at 2:46, and I knew the package wasn't stolen because I was home. I waited a few days thinking that it may show up but it did not. When I called the post office and spoke with Gretchen, she put me on hold twice to yell at staff about the line being out the door. Then she looked up the tracking numbers and told me that the package was delivered at my house because the GPS coordinates matched which in my gut I knew was impossible because I could see the delivery timeframe and knew that no one had been on my porch. Furthermore, why would two small packages be delivered 6 minutes apart? I asked my neighbors if they had seen it and then realized that the package was probably gone for good. Finally yesterday, a neighbor from down the street brought it over because it had been sitting at her house for almost a week. Basically, the post office lied showing that the GPS coordinates were "at my address" when the package was really scanned and delivered a block away and took zero responsibility for their error. read more

We live in an age of technology where bills are paid online or automatically deducted from a bank account, messages are sent via email, and texts buzz back and forth between phones faster than a blink of an eye. What happened to the days of "snail mail" with letters written on pretty stationary and envelopes personally licked and sealed? Although they are almost distinct; some of us (aka: me) still stick to personalized letters. Enter the Burbank main USPS branch. I regularly use the post office due to sending constant letters back and forth to my "mom" (not blood) in Ohio where I grew up, sending goodies to friends around the globe, and making supplemental income by selling items on Ebay. Living within walking distance of the Noho USPS branch on Chandler; I have literally been to that hellhole over 100 times. It's terrible with bad service, insane lines, no automatic machines, and metered parking. Thankfully for USPS devotees like myself, the Burbank branch is night and day in comparison. To begin, this branch delightfully DOESN'T have metered parking so there is no need to scurry for loose change amongst the couch cushions. The branch is architecturally modern and is also hip to technology (there's that tech aspect, again!) in terms of having self-serve machines to post packages, buy stamps, etc (not to mention, there are several of these). The stamp machines are open 24 hours so don't fret if it is 3am and you just remembered you need stamps, pronto. How else does Burbank prevail over other branches? Aside from being clean and bright; it offers added goodies of a small gift shop type environment which features such items as key chains and reusable bags plus a wall of greeting cards with Hallmark-quality cards in case you are in line and remembered you should send a card to your sick granny. How is service? The difference between Burbank employees and the service bestowed by the Noho branch is exemplary. The employees at this branch are much kinder, more efficient (lines move way quicker), more patient, and actually speak English. Overall, the experience is calmer and doesn't give you a coronary. This branch also makes passports (although I have not used this service). The best part is that this is the only branch in the nearby vicinity which is open until 6:30pm on weekdays which is an hour later than all the others branches which close at 5:30, sharp. That deserves applause. So although you may barely use the USPS, don't even remember the price of stamps, and only check your mailbox to see if you received any cards with money from your Aunt Sally; the Burbank main branch is the place to go if you decide to bust out that old stationary. read more

I've been doing business with this post office for years, and never had a good experience with the so-called "supervisor" past and present. We send out hundreds, if not thousands of packages a day (thousands of dollars worth) and can't get a decent pick up. All the drivers are great, but if the volume of packages we have doesn't fit in their truck, we're screwed cause the "supervisor" won't send a backup truck or driver. He might say he's sending someone, but after waiting hours, no one ever shows up...which causes all our packages to be delivered late to our customers. This isn't the type of service you'd expect when you do the volume we do. Been trying to get in touch with the "supervisor" for a long time, but just continues to screen phone calls through other people. If you're a business who ships with USPS...I highly recommend using a neighboring post office, or switching over to UPS/FedEx as we've done. I hope they replace the current "supervisor" with someone who actually knows what they're doing. The post master is impossible to get ahold of as well, so no help there either. read more

This is bad location, avoid it if you can. It's dirty, has horrible parking and the staff are the worst. I spoke with an older red headed lady named Julie who was AWFUL and very condescending. Over the past few months, on non holiday, non Sunday/normal days, my mail has no been picked up. This has happened six times. When I asked Julie about this is said curtly "Well, if you have no mail to be delivered they don't come to your house." She laughed and said "Ah no." Who is customer service is allowed to LAUGH AT A CUSTOMER? I told here that it's a valid question and not to be rude to me. She waived her hand at me. --So sorry Julie that I didn't know that if you don't have mail to be delivered but do have mailed to be picked up that you're just damn out of luck that day! This post office is too inconsistent for me to give it anything higher than 2 stars. The reason? I'm not sure. But I can tell you that there haven't been very many times I've been here and not had to wait in a long line. One of the biggest issues is that the San Fernando post office recently closed down in Burbank which has caused many people to start going to this branch. This has only made the waiting lines longer and more painful to sit though. If I was to review USPS branches solely based on the service they provide, it would be around 4 stars. But this is not what someone should review a place for--the service is only a part of the package (see what I did there?). A yelp review is holistic and is based on the experience. The workers here have a tough time bringing light to the place. It has the aura of the DMV. I'm not asking anyone to take ecstasy, start a rave, and give everyone hugs and kisses. But a little smile would be nice. Take it from me: it makes a job more fun if you have more fun with your job. It's so basic, but very true. I recommend the USPS branch in NoHo if you're looking for something nearby. I'm hoping Burbank gets another branch read more

I had a lengthy discussion with the 'manager' or other important employee at this location about my situation (out of the state for 9 months) BEFORE I LEFT, and he SPECIFICALLY told me that my friend could come pick up my mail if the box was overflowing or he forgot the key using THEIR protocol (me texting my driver's license and permission to pick up) from my cell on record to my friend's cell. My friend who doesn't harass them (visits only once a month) was told this was the only time he could do it, that they were doing it this ONE time. Seriously USPS, you guys don't know which hand is scratching which ass cheek around there. I chose your service for peace of mind while I was out of town and now I'm COMPLETELY screwed. I will never rent a PO Box or use your services as much as humanly possible for my business from now, until forever ends. Don't rent from here. PERIOD. On top of that, the usps.com website sucks ass. This is the only location I'll go to now, the one next to my apartment is awful. The kiosks are always broken, over crowded, and the staff looks miserable. I always try to limit contact with people due to covid/how I feel about it. The kiosks are separated from the main lobby which is great if you know how to work them. They're always working, I've never come into contact with the staff so I can't tell you how they are, but I absolutely love the kiosks being separated from the lobby. Helps with the crowd control Also if you know how to use the kiosks they stay open after hours until about 10PM most days. read more

We paid for next day shipping for an item going out to a woman who has just been diagnosed with cancer. This was something her husband had asked of us that would sheer his wife up. It has been a week now and the flat piece 10 inches square is still in "transit." The manager was a very arrogant woman who only identified her name as Madik. She told us that we couldn't file a claim for our pieces that should have been there next day for at least two weeks. People at the counter are mostly good. The idiots stuffing to PO boxes have to be a special kind of dumb to work here. They crammed so much stuff into the box that I couldn't pull it out. They used to give you a yellow card to retrieve your mail from the counter when the box was that full. If I could give no stars, I would. WORST customer service EVER. This is the second time I've had an issue with this location and delivering a package of mine, second time I've had to get in contact with management due to a carrier saying they delivered my package when indeed they did not. After calling and speaking to different supervisors, one tells me she will talk to the carrier who delivered it to find my package. Another one says that it is already delivered and basically I'm shit out of luck, they do nothing to resolve issues but give you the run around and end it with a "Sorry bout it" ‍ if you live in Burbank, I'd suggest getting your packages delivered elsewhere or through FedEx or Ups who are MUCH more reliable. read more

On Monday, 11/4/2019, three Post Office customers waited at the package claim window, waiting for it to open so they can get the package that won't fit in their mailboxes. The window was closed, locked, and displayed a prominent sign that listed the hours were 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Monday to Saturday. The three customers waited and waited, but no one came to open the window. They rang the bell and knocked on the wooden board. No one responded. The time went past 9:10 AM, and the customers became impatient. They knocked and rang the bell some more for several more minutes, and finally a female Post Office worker responded. She was in a bad mood and proceeded to lecture all the customers that they have to get in line for at the regular service windows to claim their package. This was not correct. During the hours listed, 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Monday to Saturday, PO box customers are supposed to be able to pick up their packages at the window. Outside of those hours, they have to get in line. The female postal worker was not only rude, but also ignorant. The first customer in line demanded his package and refused to go get in line. He was in the right. The female postal worker began to argue with him. She had no idea what she was talking about. She said she didn't know where the package was, when it was in plain view. Then, feeling angry, she backed away from the window and pulled back the package, as if she wanted to refuse giving the customer that which belonged to him. What an incredible fool. OBSTRUCTION OF CORRESPONDENCE 18, U.S.C., 1702, is a Federal crime. She works in the Post Office and doesn't seem to know that. If this shockingly poor service, this horrible situation is not corrected, then the manager or supervisor of this Post Office is negligent. No one should find this acceptable by any stretch of the imagination. This should be reported to the Post Master -- and people should lose their jobs over this. Business resumed as normal today. So I went to my local USPS to pick up the Vacation Mail Hold. I was given another address for the Main Branch, which is where Mail Holds are held. The lines at both locations were surprisingly long. The parking lot was a headache. I was happy, standing in line, to see 50% of Holiday Hallmark Boxed Sets. Do single people stock that.... Blah. If anyone ever wants to know what America is like, I feel like visiting your local post office is a good start. This is where our true colors shine. The post office is never high on my priority list. And I never know what to do when I am there, so I rely heavily on the employees. Which bless their hearts, they didn't technically ask for the BS I am sure they put up with, but they did sign up for it. This particular post office is my fave. He smiles when you come to the counter, he smiles when he asks you what kind of stamps you want, he smiles when you are mean to him, and when you are nice to him. And he is genuine about it! Julie who works here had to scan my package so that I can receive a receipt and be on my way. I put the label on the correct way and put it in an envelope I found fitting. Instead of telling me in a nice way that the label should be moved up a little higher next time she continued with you should fix that next time and maybe get a new envelope continues to groan and moan while saying "now I have to put it in manually and I don't like that great". Just dumps the mail on the floor, or leaves packages OUTSIDE the business without even knocking on the door or ringing the bell, despite written instructions to do just that. Then, when it comes to packages, they don't bother to deliver it at all, they just dump the tracking slip on the floor, claiming they tried to deliver it, when no less than 5 people are within earshot of the door throughout business hours. Re-delivery was scheduled, and then completely ignored. I've been on hold with the main line for 40 min, and the Burbank office (After trying 10 times to even have someone pick up) for almost 10.
