Avi was an absolutely delight. Fast, clear communication before the initial meeting. Very thoughtful approach in our initial meeting. So many images from their highly impressive portfolio to help us think through options. Excellent examples of communication and workflow from previous projects. Instantly ready to share previous customers we could reach out to for references. A really good balance between sharing his ideas for our project, but also really listening to our feedback on what we wanted/invisoned. All the right insights for how to keep us in budget, and very generous with (we can add this/that for little/no extra costs since we're already doing XYZ). We mainly requested a bid on two projects (Kitchen and Primary Bathroom) and help deciding the scope for the remainder of our projects (Flooring, Guest Bath, Office, Patio, Etc.). We were very impressed with how realistic, but also open-minded he was with what portion of our "bonus" projects we could fit in. The formal quote came in fast after our initial meeting, was easy to follow, and fairly priced. Found the proposed timeline to be very well balanced for efficiency vs realism. Appreciated the suggestions provided for if we should/could "live-in" during the remodel vs. a timeline that would allow the bulk of the work to overlap with a time that we were going to be out of town already. Also insights on what it would be worth "buying in advance" to take advantage of sales, even if the actual work was delayed. We got a few quotes and would have felt confident moving forward with any of them when the time came, but the quality of their portfolio and Avi's attentive listening definitely put Teamwork Home Designs at the top of the list. Can't wait to work with them in the future.

In any event, I hesitated to write a review because Shaked was nice to work with and incredibly responsive, but we are still having issues with the work that was done. The most annoying of which is the constant smell from the kitchen sink island. Our kitchen was gutted and everything installed was brand new. A week or so after install, I noticed a moldy, wet, dank smell coming from the sink, dishwasher and surrounding island cabinets (where a large group of pipes feeds into the foundation). Shaked and the plumber remarked that the disposal probably needed to be cleaned. The disposal and everything associated with the kitchen were brand new - they did not need to be cleaned - but we cleaned them anyways. I let this go because my husband didn't really smell anything and I wanted to be optimistic. Well, it's two years later and now EVERYONE in the house can smell this musty dank smell!! We have troubleshooted the dishwasher, the disposal, the p-traps, etc. and are having another plumber investigate. We will likely have to redo part of the island to discover the cause of the smell and it's incredibly frustrating that we can't host because our kitchen smells gross! There were additional issues. A couple months after we started using our newly remodeled kitchen, we heard a loud bang and noticed that the disposal completely detached from the sink! I contacted Shaked and he said something along the lines of - this is normal. Ummmm, No! I've never in my entire life had a disposal fall out from under a sink. He begrudgingly sent the plumber to reset it. It started to come loose again not long after their plumber reinstalled it. Ultimately, my husband DIY'd the install after watching a Youtube video. It's been fine since my husband installed it. Lets see, there was a leak around the base of a newly installed toilet. The toilet needed to be reinstalled. The floating master bath tub was caulked with the wrong product so it looked gross a month or so after install - and continues to look gross because we can't get the substance off. The heated floor wiring was cut during install of the bathroom floors, despite it having an alarm system to alert to said issue. After a lot of back and forth and troubleshooting (on my end), Shaked's team ultimately agreed to remove most of the flooring to reinstall with new wiring. The flooring on the stairs looks sketch to put it nicely. The wall paneling at the base of the kitchen island is wavy and disjointed - looks like a DIY project. The trim on the French doors leading to the master bedroom keeps falling off. Etc. etc. etc. Things they did well - tiling! The tile work from these folks looks amazing! Communication - Shaked was extremely responsive and did his best to address issues as they arose. They were helpful - a pipe burst during the freeze while the house was being remodeled and Shaked sent his plumber to repair quickly and without charge! They happily made changes and didn't really every charge extra which was refreshing. Despite being smelly, the kitchen LOOKS amazing! Overall, enjoyed working with Shaked and his team but not pleased with some of the results. ETA - For what it's worth, my husband thinks they deserve a 4 star review.

I really liked their customer service and the high quality of their cabinets. Unfortunately, as my house was getting close to completion, I flew in to meet in person to work on the kitchen project and they quoted me $66k now. I understand prices are increasing during the pandemic but not nearly triple. It looks like on top of the price increases, they may have counted the wrong number of cabinets needed for the project. I tried to work with them cause I wanted it to work out but ultimately, I would have had to make too many sacrifices to fit the budget such as not doing some upper cabinets and doing open shelving instead. In making these edits, they could get it down to $45k, still double the original quote and with too many sacrifices. If I calculate cabinets, counters, GC work, etc, the kitchen would be well over $100k. For that price, you should just go with a fully custom kitchen company. If I wasn't building a new house, building out a big pool and deck and all these other incredibly expensive projects, I would have liked to go with UB, but their pricing was more than I think I'd worth for semi custom

I'm trying to think of anything you can buy these days that comes with a true lifetime guarantee…read more I got nuthin' --- except Cutco knives. Cutco knives are made in the USA to last, and the Cutco company believes so strongly in its product that each knife is "guarantee forever" including free sharpening. What?! Until recently, I did not have Cutco knives but, just as I was contemplating an upgrade of my kitchen knives, my sweet Mom gifted me with the set she'd had for years but no longer used. Did the guarantee convey to a new owner? Were these older knives (circa 1970s) eligible for free sharpening? What about the French Chef knife that had a chink missing from the blade? Could it be fixed? When I called the Cutco Kitchen in Rollingwood (in the shopping center where the Post Office is) the answer to all my questions was, without hesitation or question, "yes." I took the knives in today and the experience couldn't have been better. It's a small shop but has a very wide array of Cutco products: all the knives, kitchen utensils, spices, gardening tools, and other handy household items. Although there was only one sales person present, I was the only customer so I had her attention immediately. The sales person examined each knife and found one that had a broken point, which I had not noticed. They would mail it and the damaged French Chef knife to the company for any repairs or replacement. The other knives were sharpened at the shop. I brought my non-Cutco knives, too, because they only charge $5 per knife for sharpening. This took about 10 minutes or so, more than enough time for me to pop by the USPO and Great Harvest Bread Co. where I got an amazing loaf of bread (but that's another Yelp review). Their process is to call me when the replacement/repaired knifes are ready for pick-up, which should be about 10 days. Yes, the Cutco products are pricey but I believe they are worth it. My Mom used her Cutco knives for about 50 years before passing them on to me and I suspect they will be around long after I no longer need them. In Cutco's case, you definitely get what you pay for.

That alone says a lot about the design and the quality of the workmanship. Even more impressive--I still remember the crew and the people from back then, and every one of them was great. I remember clearly that their layout ideas were far better than others I had spoken with--that's ultimately why I chose them. They didn't just execute well; they thought differently and delivered a smarter, more functional space. To me, the best testament you can give is this: I loved it on day one, and I still love it 15 1/2 years later (that's over 5,600 days, if you're counting). We swapped out our existing chrome faucets for gold hardware, and the difference is night and day. The previous faucets had a very sleek, almost Star Trek-ish look (a fun nod to my hubby, who is a serious sci‑fi fan), but they no longer fit the direction the bathroom was taking. Once the rest of the space came together, it was clear the chrome felt out of place. The new gold faucets align beautifully with the overall design and add warmth and elegance to the room. They tie everything together in a way the chrome simply couldn't. What felt like a small change ended up making a big visual impact, elevating the finished space and giving it a more cohesive, intentional look. If you're on the fence about switching hardware finishes, this is proof that even after the "big" remodel work is done, thoughtful finishing touches can truly transform the final result. I was literally wowed when I walked into their showroom last Saturday. It was a mecca for everything home. Honesty, if you can't find it here, I don't know where you can. The only quibbles I have is that they do have departments and specialists for each department. I worked with Aaron in appliances but he could not help me with anything other than appliances. I also spoke with Kelly the day before by phone--both extremely pleasant to work with. Their computer system is not tied into their floor inventory, and apparently hard for even their staff to navigate, making identification of available stock on floor challenging without eyes on. Their desk phones are not wireless, so checking on an item on the floor means holding or calling back from cellular. This is a small, family-owned business. Now that Harway is no longer family owned and a part of the Ferguson brand, the choices for shopping local are dwindling. But don't let family-owned mean expensive. He suggested I come in and bring the part. As he hung up, I was walking through the front door. Busy day for them so I waited until it was my turn and laid out the parts and project on the counter.
