It was nicevdining outside until the rains came, but there were umbrellas at the tables and we kept pretty dry. We started off with a large Antipasto Salad to share. It was decent, pretty average. We had asked them not to put onions on it, but it came with onions anyway. We then ordered one of their brick oven pizzas. They pizzas are pretty expensive yet considering the area it wasn't too bad. We did ask for no black olives on their supreme pizza, but it was served with black olives anyway. Overall the pizza was very good. They were short staffed and service was slow. One of the things I definitely didn't like is that everything was served on or in cheap containers. Terrible experience. Waited over an hour-and-a-half for 2 pizzas. When we finally got them, we couldn't even eat them in peace. The middle-aged woman working at the counter was toxic. She was rude to customers, condescending, and dishonest. She kept telling customers that it would be a 30 minute wait for pizza. Then after they ordered and paid, it would turn out to be an hour-and-a-half or two hour wait. The customers didn't appreciate being lied to but she was unapologetic and mean. It was crazy. Came in at 7pm and the nice woman up front told us it would be an hour-hour and a half wait for pizza because they "throw the pizza up in the air, it's fresh" etc. She was great! We were a large party so we decided to stay anyway and knew we would be waiting awhile. Our party got an order or cheesy garlic bread, 3 pizzas, 2 chicken Alfredo's, and 2 baked zitis. The 3 pizzas and garlic bread came out within an hour and they were reportedly delicious. We were told it would be 15 minutes for the pastas (which should not take that long because if you've ever worked at a restaurant, the pasta is usually pre-cooked/boiled) but we were understanding. 45 minutes later the guy comes out and tells us he's sorry and it'll be 5 more minutes. 20 minutes after THAT, he comes out and says he's so sorry and that "they just put it in the oven!" Unfortunately the person in our party who paid, left after they were done with their dinner/pizza because they had a small child so when we asked to just cancel the order the guy tells us we had already paid. I ask for a coupon for a free pizza or something because he had been blatantly lying to us and he offers us an insulting 10% off coupon. 10 minutes later we are walking out with our incredibly bland pasta to go (I had to add garlic salt to the baked ziti and 100% make better baked ziti on my own with store bought spaghetti sauce) and the nice woman at the front is apologizing to us and hands me a few pre-made cards for 10%. My wife and I have become regulars at Borrillos these past few months. We sit outside to be able to enjoy the musical entertainment. For the most part the food has been excellent and the women tending bar have been very attentive and nice. Tonight however we experienced a disgusting and unhealthy display by a young male bartender- who we learned is actually a supervisor. From behind the bar he was wiping dry a wine glass on the outside AND inside with a T-shirt, the T-shirt he was wearing! He proceeded to then pour a glass of wine into the glass and carry it out to a customer. She drank it. My wife went up to the bar man and discreetly told him that we saw what he did - thinking it may have been a weird moment of forgetfulness. Nope! Not only did he not deny what he did but argued strongly that it was somehow ok because the customer was "his friend." Even if true, the friend claim makes no difference - customers saw what he did. He proceeded to then follow us out to the parking lot - not to apologize mind you - but to see us off and out of there for catching him In the act. Tomorrow it's a call to the owner and then the Department of Health. In the meantime let this be a notice to you of the kind of glass "cleaning" going on at Barrillos. Better drink from a bottle if you dare go there at all. We won't be. read more

Came in with my family at 8:30pm they were steady so I didn't expect to get my food quick. We waited 3 hours to get our food. They closed at 9pm and had no customers and still waiting on food. Another customer waited 1hr and a half for a pizza. My advice fire your kitchen staff. You had 3 cooks in there. I owned pizzerias and pies dont take that long. The young lady at the register who took our order was pleasant and the wait wasn't extremely long even though they were busy. We did find out that he was the 'front of the house' manager. As we entered, he started by loudly telling everybody that we 'ordered at the counter'. Nothing wrong with that, but his tone was very condescending and arrogant towards everybody. Then when we tried to order, the jackassery was dialed up to 11. Every attempt to understand what was available to order, or even to ask clarifying questions were met with general asshole behavior. Great food, long wait. We ate here twice (lunch on Saturday and lunch on Sunday). There is one person making food and the other person taking orders, delivering food, answering the phone and cleaning tables. Saturday's order (4 slices of pizza) took 25 minutes, but that was because there was an error with the order (the ticket didn't make it into the kitchen apparently) and the server apologized. The pizza was delicious. We went back the next day thinking that Saturday's delay was a fluke due to the ticket issue and that our order of two cold subs would arrive faster. There were fewer people in the restaurant (three tables plus us) but unfortunately the subs still took a whopping 24 minutes to get to our table. This is likely a staffing issue; however, I don't understand how even one person alone in the kitchen would be unable to multitask and get these orders out faster, especially when preparing items like pizza and subs. EDIT - ONE MORE THING - it's almost 2023, who is still using styrofoam? Please please please find a new way to serve your drinks! read more

The best part of my experience was the pizza, and that's not saying much because it was average and overpriced. We ordered one pizza for pickup and we're told 35 minutes, we showed up a little after that and still had to wait. Then was told our pizza was "destroyed" and would have to be entirely remade. Close to an hour for one 14" pizza. In that scenario, perhaps some customer service and the offer of anything extra would have gone a long way with us. However, they did nothing but watch us sit and wait for our pizza and the best customer service we received was a free sprite that we had to ask for. Loaded with ham and topped with lettuce, red onion, tomato...these tomatoes were big and bright red and fresh! Oil and vinegar on top was all I needed to suck that bad boy right down with a cold Michelob. They have an outdoor patio that was rocking with some live music when I went. Cool place! Placed our order for two 10" pizzas at 6:45 and 2 Yuenglings (which was also nice - came in frosted glasses). Was told that the pizzas would take one hour. Menu says 30 minutes. Hey, we were told in advance so we decided we could work with that. I just told them to make the pizzas to go. I didn't bother the staff for 57 minutes. I then went to the bartender (who seemed nice) and asked what the status of our pizzas. She went back to the kitchen and told me...wait for it...that THEY HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN PUT IN THE OVEN! I guess I should be grateful that she didn't string me along but this really screwed up our evening. I paid the bar bill and left. I don't like to leave bad reviews but in light of Kylie's experience I felt obligated. Great brick oven pizza and garlic knots are delicious!!! Other reviews comment about how service is slow when they get busy... the service is not slow. This is a brick oven pizza place and therefore one pizza sits in the oven cooking... which can be slow... especially with orders coming in faster than the pizza has time to cook. The garlic knots are large and delicious. The pizza sauce is more on the savory than sweet side, which our family likes. Small indoor eating area, but there is also outdoor seating on the side that also serves as a lounge type area with live music. All the servers and service was fun, welcoming, upbeat, and polite. My family met some friends up here on a Friday night. It was Karaoke night, which ended up being fun. The food was good. We got the garlic knots, which my husband raved about how much garlic was on them! We also ordered a Stromboli. It was loaded with meat and cheese. I did find that the middle was not hot, but it was still good. The restaurant is mostly outdoors with some inside seating. They only serve beer and wine, but they do have seltzers. There were two waitresses working. I felt the service was a little slow, especially at the end when we were wanting to leave. Not a huge deal and it being our first time it could not be the norm. Their machines were down and we aren't quite sure the bill was correct. We feel it was higher than what it should be. It was hand written and totals of each item were not listed. We were tired at that point and they were getting ready to close so we didn't ask for a menu to check the prices. We wished they would have had a kids menu or pizza by the slice. We didn't want to pay full price for a meal for our 4 year old who wouldn't have eaten an adult portion meal. They did offer to give us a half portion of spaghetti and charge half the price, so we appreciated that. We had to ask though, so if you have younger ones you can ask. Cute little hidden gem, I am glad we had hungry tummys. Because Wednesday night is Savanno God's Duo Night with Live Music they were awesome! Pizza was fairly priced approx. $30 for a large we ordered two Large's one half Combo & half pineapple and a large pepperoni. We also ordered a chicken salad which was so fresh! & 2 red sangrias amd 2 white sangrias. Pizza took forever timewise almost 2hrs!!! That was insane long. Two sangrias came out about 40min later then the other two like 10min after the first ones. While waiting before any salad or pizza a plate of garlic knots were dropped off to our table. We thought it was complimentary since the food was taking so long. Come to find out at the end a very upset older lady waitress was snappy that those were not our and we had to pay for them! They said we couldn't put the cleanish tables together and we had to sit at this wooden table that looked like it was moldy and seagulls shit on it. This time we ordered our pizza and was told it would be 45 mins, at 6:10. My son and I took a casual stroll returning at 7:00. Poor crystal, who is very pleasant and kind, told us 15 more minutes. The dining room was full along with the patio. I know it's a small owned family business but maybe they can purchase additional ovens? Not sure and definitely not bashing but the wait is the only downside if you don't call in your pickup at least a solid hour ahead of time. The service is still as friendly and helpful as either always has been. However, the food quality seems to be about half as good as it used to be and double the price. The cheese bread was almost $7 and is half the size it used to be and the cheese was barely on 3 pieces. We paid $70 for cheese bread, 1 small and 1 medium pizza and got about $10 in quality.
