Stop by this little cafe while I was in the area! Inside they have a couple tables for patrons to sit and do work at! I got a tuna sandwich and it was delicious! The workers were really friendly and helpful, they gave great recommendations! Next time I want to try the different drinks they have! read more

pretty standard coffee. Armenian is basically unfiltered coffee, with gritty texture. it was very smooth, but would only recommend if you enjoy this type of coffee. the lavender syrup was too strong and made the latte taste like soap workers were pretty friendly. there is ample outlets throughout the shop. quite busy around noon, but died out after 5PM read more

Super cute coffee shop in the heart of glendale. Being a coffee snob, I get excited to try new coffee shops. As soon as I walked in, I felt at home. They had a little cute band set up by the window (I wonder if they ever have live music), they had plenty of comfy seating, and staff were all very friendly. I was able to get work done on my laptop, which was a plus. There was also plenty of parking. Only down fall for me was that as soon as I left and hopped on the freeway my tire popped, and I waited 3 hours for a tow truck :( Anyways, with that said, I will return if I am in the Glendale area and try the pastries. I had a hot cortado and it was too late for sweets, but everything looked amazing. The crepes smelled delicious! Thank you guys! read more

If I could give 20 stars I would! Outstanding service! (The baristas know my name and drink, which is very specialized). Outstanding food! The 4-mini breakfast sliders are to die for! They're piping hot & overflowing with eggs! Also their Pastrami panini's rival any deli (and I'm from NYC saying this!). And the multitude of fresh and unique pastries literally melt in your mouth! And check box number 3: The ambiance: Very chill atmosphere, great place to relax, unwind and clear your thoughts. Plenty of indoor seating and outdoor seating with large umbrellas to shade you from the sun and enjoy the spectacular spring & fall LA weather! And of course the musical instruments on the wall, and spontaneous performances by staff & customers in the evenings! What a fantastic embellishment to the Glendale neighborhood! read more

I recently tried out this coffee shop on a quest to find a new local spot near our house. This shop had unique options of treats and drinks that you don't see everywhere. My group ordered Armenian coffee (recommended by the cashier), matcha, and an almond cookie. The star was the cookie! Our drinks were solid and the Armenian coffee was something new for us and really got us wired. There were plenty of people hanging out inside and out of the shop and it still had ample tables and chairs for us to sit and enjoy. The parking can be tricky because there wasn't much, but it's not terrible! read more

I like this place. The prices are good. It has a family vibe to it. They have plugs to do work on your computer. And the turkey club with avocado added is the absolute best!!! And every now and then someone may jump on the piano, drums, and guitar and play a jam or two. Because this place is open late, it has become my favorite coffee show now!!! The only thing they need to do better at is cleaning the bathroom. It is not kept up to par. read more

I was sold pastry that was stale and left over for days. They have a deceiving display of what looks like FRESH pastry but don't be fooled. Uptown charges $5+ for these and come to find out it tasted bitter and old and was hard as a rock. No managers on duty. Poorly run establishment. Maybe you should stop focusing on playing JAZZ in the corner and focus on delivering fresh product that you're charging lots of money for. HORRIBLE. read more

I don't know who's eating/drinking here and would rate it 5 starts yall must be blind and deaf in ur tastebuds. Food is mediocre got the breakfast burrito with sausage and bacon. There was literally one piece of hot dog sliced in half and one piece of bacon. Cmon guys do we need to do the social media challenge here. The coffee tasted worse than the burrito. Using some old nasty espresso beans that leave a terrible aftertaste no matter how much sugar they load up in the cafecito. Even after asking it to get remade. Workers were super nice and definitely underplayed but they have no control over that's they showed great service. Ambiance is great but what's the point when you're serving low quality food/drink. Maybe try your product or have people with functioning taste buds try the food before you sell it to the public. Thank you Lina for the awesome service. read more

I give it a 5 star because any business opening doors during these times has got to be brave with all the regulations and unpredictable times. I only ask for now that you bring in better crispy buttery real croissants. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. And No I don't want to go anywhere else when I can walk here in my neighborhood and get croissants. Soft mushy bread croissants will not do for nearly $5. Standard coffee shop ! Definitely clean and cutely decorated . The staff working on a Sunday morning were friendly and knowledgeable . Following Covid guidelines just fine . I had a matcha latte -- a little on the sweet side and they even reduced the amount of powder for mine . The pastries looked really good - not sure if they make them in house or not - didn't ask . There is a really bomb looking bakery next to the coffee shop called paradise pastry , if you are hungry . Although ... they do have sandwiches and avocado toast and things like that too ! read more

After my terrible drink from another shop earlier in the day, I had to get my caffeine fix before I head home from work. Noticed that Uptown was fairly new and decided to check out this spot. Very spacious and clean with an automatic hand sanitizer dispenser next to register. They serve a wide range of good eats such as pastries, ice cream, sandwiches and coffee. I ordered my usual drink a vanilla iced latte that was perfect and made up my terrible drink from the morning. Ratio of vanilla syrup to milk to espresso was on point. #101 in my Coffeeshop Chronicles. If you thought I was done with this series, well so did I, but I guess not! So as it turns out, my obsession with trying new coffeeshops hasn't gone away just because I reached 100 already. I mean, you would think right? Haha. Anyways, that brings me to Uptown. I was in the area and, per usual, in desperate need of caffeine when I discovered this little coffeeshop just down the street. I ordered a pumpkin spice latte, and though I liked the flavor well enough (they use monin syrups which is the brand I prefer if a coffeeshop is not making their own), the coffee itself was weak. Maybe it's the beans they use? I'm not sure but the espresso was average, and wasn't rich or smooth like what you would expect from quality coffee. At least that was my opinion - do with it what you will. read more

Was in the area and was craving an iced latte. Found this gem. It was easy to find and one of the few coffee shops that stays open later (9:30 pm) which is so appreciated. The inside is adorable and they have many coffee options. I want to try their Armenian coffee next time I go. They also had several flavor options for the latte. I just went traditional. The barista was friendly and made my latte quickly so I could get my coffee fix. She even gave me a Lindor chocolate with my order. Such a nice touch. Because of covid, there is no inside seating. However, they had plenty of tables outside. If you're craving a treat, they have sandwiches, crepes, or even gelato. Really pleased to have found this cute little spot. read more

Cute coffee shop in Glendale! Staff is nice, there are usually a lot of people at night. The vibes of this place are nice and I enjoyed my cup of coffee. Stumbled upon this coffee shop on a trip to the Burbank IKEA. Was craving some coffee and a snack....but got way more than expected! I got a iced americano with a splash of Oat milk. They didn't charge extra for milk which was nice and the coffee was spectacular. I'm not sure what kind of roast it was cause I'm not really a coffee snob, but it was the kind where you go "Omg. This is delicious." Then I made a last minute decision to try a sandwich --but I wanted it on a croissant. When I asked the girl at the counter, she told me they make all their sandwiches on croissants! When they brought the sandwich out I was overwhelmed it was HUGE and presented beautifully. For $8 the sandwich was an excellent value. They also have outdoor seating and are COVID prepared. Overall I was so pleased with everything at this place. We really needed a proper coffee shop on this side of town (Glenoaks between Burbank/Glendale) and this place delivers that. It has high quality coffee with a clean buzz .. and they have an assortment of other goodies. Pastries are okay! Wonderful family owned cafe! Gio was so gracious, hospitable and welcoming to me and my clients. Not to mention how delicious the coffee and pastries were. I had the buttered croissant and they had it warmed up for me. Super flakey and crispy on the outside and fluffy yet perfectly moist inside... He also had us try his new cold brew concoction sweetened with sugar cane - absolute perfection! Sweet without the sugary aftertaste you get from most flavored lattes. But the warm and welcoming vibe from this Italian family-owned cafe is definitely the cherry on the cake! Love the food here especially my decaf affogato. The barista offers friendly service and he's also the guitarist here. He said there is sometimes live music after 10pm? The good news is, there's still shaved ice on the menu and many more menu options. The bad news is everything else. What once was a cozy and cute shaved ice store with lots of natural light and relaxed energy is now a cold, run of the mill modern coffee/boba shop with none of the charm of its previous storefront. In fact, they've managed to make the space feel even more cramped than before and you really notice it when a few parties come in. They have yet to update any of their old business information (from an online search it appears as if Hang Loose is still in business), but the store now goes by Aviator and their menu includes coffee, boba, and really overpriced lemonade (around $11 for a flavored lemonade). I'm not sure what inspired this change, but at the least the business could try and keep things consistent by updating their web pages. To make things worse there wasn't a clear sign on the storefront when we visited so it's very confusing even trying to find this spot to begin with. The upside of all this is that the shaved ice has remained on the menu and still is reasonably priced for the portion you get. They have all the same syrup flavors from before, as well as toppings (sour spray and Li Hing powder). That has not changed from before and the shaved ice is as tasty as ever. I did not try their coffee or any of the other menu items during my visit, but I'm not particularly opposed. While some of it looks good, there are some menu items that seem very overpriced and if anything the real negative of this shop just comes from the experience. You order on a tablet, the service isn't particularly spectacular or friendly. They hand you your items without utensils and don't make an effort to even tell you where the utensils are. They ended up being by the front door but since 2 other parties came in after we ordered, the view of them was blocked and they were difficult to reach in the tight space. I'm not sure what they could do to breathe some life back into this business, but the energy of the spot is less welcoming and less comfortable overall. I'm sure their new menu items might be really good, but I'm not running to come back there unless I'm really craving some shaved ice. If I want coffee or boba I know spots that are WAY more comfortable. I'm hoping they can make steps to improve their business as they go down this new direction.

There are tables with it umbrellas around for shade in the summer. There is sometimes street parking right in front of the office building on Brand, otherwise the lot for this complex is $1 for every 12 minutes and this stand doesn't validate (tho Equinox does, apparently).
