My friend and I were out for her birthday in Montrose and stopped here. What a treat. Everything was so fresh. The menu has plenty to choose from. The staff were so friendly. And the place is cute as anything. We both got the tropical açaí bowl and the fruit was absolutely fresh, like it was just picked. What I really loved was the scoops of açaí ice cream/ sorbet were not too sweet. The flavors were completely balanced and I felt like I was eating healthy, and I was. Everything was made from scratch. I highly recommend this place. #acai #dessert #healthyfood #delicious #montrose #Socaltreats #daytrip #lacanada #glendale

Just an ok experience. Staff could have been friendlier, I felt like I was an interruption to their day. Plenty of indoor seating with some outdoor spots as well. I have had better açaí elsewhere. The consistency was varied throughout the bowl.

This place is so cute with many opportunities for cute pictures. I was craving Acai Bowls and fruits after completing 7k steps. They had outdoor and indoor seating. It seems clean and spacious. I ordered the 2 scoop ($11) with blueberries, strawberries, mango, chia seeds and almond butter. After I ordered, I was told they were out of mangoes but saw they were making a mango smoothie for another lady who ordered after me. It's okay because I'm flexible so I chose pineapple. I was surprised with the size of the bowl comparing to other places I have tried. At least the fruits were mostly fresh! Overall, decent acai bowl just a bit pricey. I do understand they have to pay rent.

Came back for more! It's my second time here at Wild Açaí and I have to amend my earlier review to add that their prices are very competitive. If you're not super hungry, a mini bowl is only $6 and I'm full from a small bowl ($9)! There is free public street parking located two blocks down. Wild Bowl 5/5, YES this was exactly what I was looking for. Having learned my lesson to read the detailed descriptions of the bowls, I selected this because of the variety of fruit offered and the goji berry was a lovely crunch in addition to the bowl

Easy menu, quick service, and delightful tabletop looking out onto the Main Street. The fruits were firm and served as a nice contrast to the açaí bedded underneath.

A simple yet delicious acai bowl! I ordered the Cali Bowl but subbed the almond butter with peanut butter and they did not skimp with the peanut butter. They gave a very thick layer of peanut butter and I had peanut butter with each bite of my acai bowl. I ordered a medium bowl and it was so filling. The strawberry, banana, and granola tasted so fresh. I was very satisfied with my bowl. I told them is was my first time there and they gave me a complimentary empanada to try. It was a decent empanada-- not as crumbly and flaky as other empanadas I've had. The gesture was very appreciated. There are a few tables to sit inside and the decor is very cute. A nice place to enjoy a acai bowl, smoothie, or empanada!

Great and so good for a hot day and healthier that ice cream but little expensive but good for hot day and good quality.YUM

You have to dig through all the toppings to get to barely there açaí.
    Cris L.

The best-tasting açaí around, but they've noticeably cut back on the actual açaí. Now it's just a thin layer at the bottom, with the rest of the cup loaded with toppings. We had to drive back from home to ask for a remake or a refund. Initially, we didn't mind, but being met with rudeness and gaslit into believing it was made 'right' was completely uncalled for. If I wanted açaí as a topping, I would've said so. And if you read the other reviews, it's clear this isn't a one-time issue, management stands by it, which is disappointing.

My new favorite acai bowl shop in the area! I've been here a few times and love that the acai doesn't melt too easily and that I can choose my own toppings. I usually get half acai, half dragon fruit as my base and the toppings are all up to my preference. The employees are very helpful and I always leave feeling satisfied :) Great interior decorations as well.

First time trying açaí protein bowl 10/10 the worker recommended it to me!!! I'm not really sure what my friend got for the drink hehe

I come often since i work in town, everyone is very nice and the acai bowls are amazing and they have a rewards program buy 9 get 10th free, who doesn't love free things! But my favorite part about coming in is seeing Olivia and her smiling face, she treats me like family and I love it! Thank you for that, much love Wild Acai

It's not just a butcher shop, it's a mini Argentinian embassy for my taste buds. Walk in for a quick fix and walk out with enough freshly made empanadas and high quality meat to feed a small village. The selection is fantast and the staff is very friendly. The real danger of this small little shop, is the dry goods section. I can't just "shop" there. I have to gaze at their wall of snacks like a culinary historian. Seeing all those Argentine brands and dry goods triggers a massive wave of nostalgia for all the goodies my family would bring back in overstuffed suitcases every time they visited Argentina. I inevitably find myself surrendering to some alfajores. The main reason I drove here was for the sandwiches de miga. The ham and cheese is our household "fix," and I'm pretty sure my family would trade me for a fresh stack of them if given the opportunity. I always make sure to grab a few empanadas to go too. I left happy, fully stocked, and already planning the next haul.

Like genuinely one of the best horchata I've ever had, it was super creamy and flavorful but not overly sweet. I tried one of their desserts being their banana and Nutella empanada along with other savory empanadas. Everything was amazing. The Nutella + banana one was definitely a standout for me because they did not hold back at all. It was packed with chocolate and banana in every bite, which I loved because I'm a huge chocolate person. It didn't feel skimpy or dry at all, just super rich and satisfying! For the savory options, I tried the chile con carne, Santa Fe chicken, the breakfast, and the beef & potato. Every single one was delicious, seriously you cannot go wrong with any of them. BUT my favorite was for sure the Santa Fe chicken!! It had so much flavor and tasted really well-seasoned. You can tell everything is made with care. Their green chimichurri needs its own praise. I've tried a fair amount of chimichurris from different restaurants and grocery stores, but this one!!! This one is done perfectly. I can't describe the flavor to you, you just have to try it haha. It goes so well with any of the empanadas! Also, the empanadas came out HOT. Like actually steaming when I opened them, which made them that more enjoyable. Everything tasted really fresh. On top of that, the service was so sweet. The girls working there were really kind and welcoming, which just made the whole experience even better. Really enjoyed the first experience and so when I saw the truck again today after an early morning walk in Descanso Gardens, I stopped again to get their empanadas. This visit confirmed my initial impression which was/is that the empanadas from La Puna are "fantastic"!! I ordered four empanadas, the corn and spinach, as well as their chicken. Also ordered one called the Arabe. All four were superb!! The corn empanada was a combination of sweet, salty, and creamy. This was the result of using good quality corn and a combination of both cream and either jack or cotija cheese. The spinach empanada was equally delicious. It had a unique taste profile prompted by the really smart use of a hint of nutmeg. The combination of spinach and the nutmeg, along with whatever they included, have the final product a "wow" factor. Chicken empanada was slightly smokey and very flavorful, and the "Arabe" was a wonderful combination of ground beef, onion, red bell peppers, with spices that offered a distinctly Moroccan taste. Really outstanding. The thing that tied all these different empanadas together was the dough they use to make them. It was firm while still light and flaky with a mouth feel that was soft but not mushy. It was the perfect compliment to the filling. Like eating a really, really good pie where the filling and the crust are harmonious. The food offered by La Puna Empanadas reflects attention to detail, the use of really good product, and most importantly pride in their Argentinian culture and it's food. If you enjoy empanadas or are curious about them, I encourage you to try those offered by La Puna for all the reasons I've outlined here.
