Our first visit to Bebo's in Pilot Point felt less like lunch and more like a dirty scavenger hunt…read more The restaurant is packed with memorabilia, dollar bills taped everywhere, Elvis collectibles, old telephones, vintage car photos, a Christmas tree, and enough random décor to keep your eyes busy while waiting for your food. What may be intended as vintage charm felt more like an episode of flea market finds covered in years of dust. The menus. Everyone at our table received a different version, complete with conflicting prices, different hours, and spelling errors, including "SHRIP." Maybe they spin a wheel in the back to determine the price you pay? We asked for recommendations, everything is equal was the response. Service was nonexistent after she dropped the food on the table, drink refills were missed, and she asked twice if we wanted onions on the dish or on the side, we replied on the dish but they arrived on the side. The food tasted like bagged, frozen foods introduced to fryer oil that had already lived a full life. If you're looking for greasy, fried comfort food, you may enjoy it. If you're looking for fresh ingredients and quality home cooking, you may want to choose any other restaurant. The most memorable part of the experience came at checkout. The payment screen offered a 20%, 25%, or 30% tips option, with 25% already pre selected which could not be changed by the customer. The custom tip option was reportedly broken, as was the no tip option. When I explained I couldn't change it, she asked, "What do you want to change it to, no tip?" Nothing says hospitality quite like turning gratuity into a hostage negotiation. ‍ Finally, I visited the ladies' room before leaving. It is in desperate need of a deep cleaning, sticky grease laden doors, sticky soap dispenser, and no toilet paper in my stall, thank goodness I brought a friend that could bring TP from her stall. Between the confusing menus, inattentive service, lack of cleanliness, forgettable food, and the expectation of a 25% tip for pathetic service, even McDonald's is a better choice.

Mike, the owner, greeted us right away and made us feel genuinely welcome. When he found out we wanted to watch a specific college football game, he immediately turned it on for us. That level of hospitality is hard to find these days. As an added bonus, Mike treated us to a complimentary portion of the Brioche Banana Foster French Toast, and it was absolutely outstanding. The brioche was perfectly prepared, and the banana foster topping took it to another level. It was easily one of the best brunch items I've had in a long time. For our main meal, my son and I both ordered the Chicken and Waffles from the brunch menu. It was a perfect 10 out of 10. The chicken was light, crispy, and flaky without being heavy, and it sat atop a perfectly cooked waffle. Every bite was delicious. I originally planned on ordering an iced tea, but our waitress was so friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable that she convinced me to try a Bloody Mary instead. I'm glad she did because it was excellent and paired perfectly with brunch. What really stood out wasn't just the amazing food and drinks, but the overall atmosphere and service. Everyone made us feel welcome, and the attention to detail was exceptional. Honestly, I don't understand why this place isn't more crowded. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will absolutely be back again. If you're looking for great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere, Local Open is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

It's also very clean inside and it's one of these businesses that if you're not paying attention, you'll just drive right past. It's kind of hidden out of the way, but it is definitely worth going. It's not a huge restaurant and I didn't have any trouble finding parking. It also wasn't very busy at the time that we went so I would imagine it will get busy with the breakfast or lunch rush but both times that I've been it's been really nice.
