Chicken fried steak
David L.

My new favorite breakfast place! Nice and clean place, and service is usually ok. Good brunch options and I particularly like their chicken fried steak with their house made hot sauce. Yum!! Plus it's kid friendly and the kiddo loves their corn beef hash side and kiddie pancakes. Good price and good portions.

We enjoyed our breakfast at Cracked & Crepe. Hubby ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict and I ordered the Toscana Omelet. We enjoyed both dishes. The eggs of the benedict were cooked to perfection - they had a sexy yolk ooze. Although, the hollandaise sauce was broke. The Toscana Omelet was loaded with goodies. I was surprised by how much artichoke there was. Usually restauraunts skimp on artichokes, but not in this omelet. I wished the omelet had kalamata olives; it came with black olives instead. The hash browns were yummy and the fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing - like putting a straw straight into an orange. Service was courteous and helpful but our server got a little distracted by friends who came to dine. We were not in a hurry so we didn't mind. We were able to get their attention when we needed. Nice atmosphere, good prices, and good food.

Returned! And just as good as last time. Had the same waitress as last visit who is always fabulous and tried a little something different than what we ordered but left as happy as the first time. Chicken and waffles was pretty darn good, my toddler enjoyed his mini waffles and my stepdad enjoyed his food although i don't know what he ordered. Busy Saturday but was quickly accommodated nonetheless. Love it here!

Very Berry Crepes

Never disappoints, the lingonberry crepes are delicious. Our server which we have had several times is amazing. Brandon is wonderful. A great place for brunch!

I'm so happy we found this place! We were wanting crepes for breakfast so a quick search brought us here. The service was super friendly! Food portions were huge, I took my hash browns home. We enjoyed the crepes. Next time we are just going to order the crepes.

We tried the Cracked & Crepe in Frisco and weren't impressed so wanted to give the one in Aubrey a chance. We liked this location better. The pancakes were still a bit dry but the Crepes and Omelet were good. Service was great as well. I believe the Orange Juice is freshly squeezed so it has a tart kick to it.

Wanted to love it, but wasn't enough to love. We got there at 12:30 and were seated immediately, place wasn't full so that was nice. Was able to get an iced coffee pretty quick but then we didn't see the waiter again for at least 15 minutes. Once we did place our order it was a good 40 minutes before our food even came out. And when it did come out, sadly it was a disappointment Did a traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon, hash browns and a pancake. Eggs were good! Pancakes were decent. The bacon had definitely been hanging out a while. I love crispy bacon but this was super dry and pretty much inedible unless you wanted to break it tooth. The hashbrowns were so over cooked that they were super crunchy and you could taste the burnt pieces. Crunchy like chips crunchy. Not sure how you really screw up simple basics like this but whoever they have cooking the food is not doing their best. The waiter was friendly the two times that we saw him but given it took so long when they weren't even half full to get something so simple out was a bit off turning. Heard great things about this place but not noteworthy enough to want to return.

My wife and I came in on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch slash early dinner and overall the experience just left us asking, do we not get it? The vibe is cool and the space itself is nice. We didn't do the golf bays, but they look like the main draw and I can see how that would be fun with the right group. From an atmosphere standpoint, no real complaints. Food is where things fell apart a bit. We both ordered the Local Burger and it was mid at best. The bun completely fell apart and the fries were soggy, which is always disappointing when you're paying for something that's clearly trying to present itself as elevated bar food. It is weird that the menu is so limited. Usually fine with that cause it makes the food that is there much better, but that didn't happen this time. Service didn't help much either. The servers were all in their early 20s and spent a good amount of time texting and loudly talking at the end of the bar. I honestly don't care about that as long as service is still attentive, but that part was missed. Drinks sat empty longer than they should have and it just felt disengaged. Overall, it feels like a place that's trying to be fancier than it actually is. The food doesn't justify the hype and I'm guessing the golf bays are what really make this place worth it. I might come back if a friend wanted to go, but it wouldn't be my pick.

Trying to move my wife off her Rainman-like creature of habit mentality brings a degree of risk. Thankfully, she didn't feel like fighting me. And she will be the first to admit that she was glad I "forced" her into something new. The deviled eggs were well liked. The entrees for our group included the herb roasted chicken, burger, nachos, and prime rib. For the record, any time I see prime rib on a menu I order it just to see if I'll ever return to that restaurant. Needless to say, it was prepared exactly to specification, with a perfect balance of tenderness coupled with the au jus sauce. My wife, having sampled every plate on the table, couldn't stop raving about the overall quality of every entree. Needless to say, I now have a new "safe" restaurant to add to our repertoire. I hate to add it as a side note, but the service was spot-on and our waitress was a perfect blend of attentive without being disruptive. If I lived in Frisco, WB's would be our local go-to spot. Instead, we'll break out of the bubble and visit often.

Overall, the entree portions for the two items that we had were a bit small. I had the pork tenderloin. It was under seasoned and dry. Glad there was pleanty of mustard sauce on the plate. Wilted spinach was overcooked as well. My wife and daughter wanted to split the burger. This is something they have done often in other restaurants. At least they feel like they had a generous helping of fries. They each received half a piece of wilted lettuce and a quater of a red onion. It is hard to believe that this burger was voted "Best in Frisco 2024." The embiance was nice. We had great ecpectations when we were seated and ordered. We cannot complain about our service. It was memorable.

Urban Cookhouse - Prosper, TX…read more We stopped into Urban Cookhouse on a Monday evening, and to our surprise, we were the only ones dining in. Even with the quiet atmosphere, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We've had takeout from here before and remembered how fresh everything was, so we were really looking forward to eating in this time. There's plenty of seating inside, and the space feels open and comfortable. They also have tons of patio seating, which would be perfect on a nice evening. The interior has a rustic-industrial vibe, with a warm accent wall and touches like the decorative bureau that make the space feel thoughtfully designed. For dinner, we ordered the lime-marinated steak with rice and the citrus-grilled salmon. We subbed the sides for the broccoli salad and roasted vegetables, and everything came out quickly and piping hot. The flavors were fresh, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Overall, Urban Cookhouse was a great experience--friendly staff, fast service, and tasty, well-prepared food. We'll definitely be back.

I'm not going to adjust my stars for this, but there are some workers that are NOT attentive, have a bad attitude and/or were texting on their phones. The kaboom shrimp appetizer is to die for! Definitely my favorite appetizer. I also have had the southwest salad, I believe that's what I tried twice now. It was delicious as well.

The food was alright, i will skip the entrees next time and just stick with their apps. All the appetizers we had were incredible. The fried zucchini was crispy and flavorful with an amazing smokey sauce that came with it. The boom boom shrimp were cooked perfectly, crispy, and flavorful. However, the wings with dry rubs were bland and very dry, overcooked. The sauced wings had much better flavor but got soggy and were also way overcooked and dry. The burgers were under seasoned as well and the chips and salsa tasted like jarred salsa with cardboard chips. They have a huge variety of seasoned fries, we had the cajun and they were cooked perfectly, seasoned well and delicious. Service was ok, they messed up several drinks orders bringing us drinks we didn't order multiple times that we kept having to send back or talk through with our server. They resolved all the issues we had but it just never seemed very smooth and kept re-occurring which was frustrating and made me question my check but since i never had the chance to look it over since the device they handed me only showed the total. I asked for a printed receipt but never received one. The owner did come by and talk to us and she was very friendly and accommodating. I wish they served more local craft beers but mostly only served generic commercially available beer. Even after ordering a different beer, they kept bringing me the same one. I would only recommend them for their apps.
