Bebo's is a trip back in time. The decorations are over the top with nostalgia having you look around at everything from Elvis, a motorcycle to old TVs and oil cans. Seating is normal table/booth selection which you usually just seat yourself. The food is pretty good. The chicken fried steak is so large you could feed 4 people. Burgers are ok, nothing really to write home about, though they are more homestyle than say a 1/4" (being generous) fast food burger. The sides are not made from scratch either, at least they don't taste like it. Even the mashed potatoes don't seem from scratch. Overall, though, the food isn't bad and I've been several times. The pie, on the other hand, is homemade and it is pretty tasty. The price? In my opinion is the main deterrent for going more than I do. When I think of spending 60+ on a meal (for 3), I think of much better places, even with the same homestyle food. Would I recommend Bebo's? I eat at Kathy's alot. They have an awesome home cooked breakfast just like the farmers and ranchers like it! The burgers are just like you make at home only BIGGER! It's a down-home country kitchen and you can expect to be treated that way. No fancy anything, just good food, good friends and neighbors and a good time! Some people complain about cigarette smoke (smokers are outside); if the wind blows when the door opens - well, the wind has a mind of it's own! If it bothers you, don't sit next to the door. I have never had an order mixed up or made incorrectly. And even if I did, it's no worse than getting home from McDonald's or Whataburger and having the wrong order or your order totally not how you wanted it and too many miles to return it! Every time I am craving catfish or family comes into town, we head to Bebos/Kathy's! The portions are huge, the fried green tomatoes are amazing, and I could eat the catfish all day long. Sure, the fries aren't fresh cut, but the coleslaw is sweet, and the beans are delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at this place. We met Kathy earlier in the day at the Holiday Chevy dealership and found out she owned this place along with her husband Bebo. The atmosphere here was very family friendly playing old country. Our server Janell was awesome. Super friendly and always attentive to her customers. The food was fantastic! I got the CFS which was hand breaded and the size of of a saddle blanket. My wife got the CFS sandwich. I also got the okra and tomatoes which reminded me of how my wife's mamaw used to make. I will never spend money here again. We came in here for dinner tonight and the only halfway decent thing about our dinner was the fried green tomatoes, but they were very greasy and under seasoned. Next, my boyfriend ordered unsweetened tea and it came out with a dirty spoon in it not only once, but TWICE! I'm talking about a huge glob of brown colored something on it, not just a little something. It was very unappetizing. I ordered a chicken fried chicken sandwich and it tasted so gross. I got to looking at my chicken and they used pre-grilled frozen chicken that they put breading on and fried! First off, before ever setting foot in the car to drive here, I call them up and ask one very simple question, "Do you allow smoking?" The woman said, "No." We drive over to a small, yet appealing in a very odd way, structure with a drive thru. I instantly think to myself, "This would make an awesome coffee shop/deli." It is a small parking lot and no handicap parking by the doors, which is odd. We walk in, and the walls are intensely decorated with Elvis memorabilia. We continue to the counter to order, I ask for the Special which is fried chicken with mashed potatoes. The woman taking my order tells me that they don't have any chicken made. Ummm... ok. So, I order a burger and so does fiance. I ask for mine to be "plain and dry" yet the lady at the counter continues to ask me if I want 'mayo or mustard'. I ask for a root beer with no ice, and I get ice anyway. Whatever. We park ourselves at a booth, and wait patiently for our order. We instantly notice that EVERY time someone opens the door, the smell of cigarette smoke fills the room. The culprit: The outside patio IS a smoking area. The cook/owner/whoever she was, as well as other customers are smoking right next to the door. Our food comes out immediately afterward. I take one bite out of my burger and put it back down. Tasteless and greasy. We leave our untouched food at the table, and book it. This place needs SERIOUS help! If someone calls your establishment and asks if smoking is allowed, why lie about it? Why not tell the truth and say, "Well, not inside, but we do have a small patio. Every time someone opens the door, cigarette smoke fills the inside." I'm all for supporting local businesses, but not when they are run this poorly. I hope to hear positive feedback from this place, so that I have a reason to give them another try. read more

Visiting from SoCal...stumbled upon this place because The BBQ Joint nearby was closed. Really glad we found Kathy's. Their "Bebo" burger puts LA burgers to shame...huge, falling apart juicy patty...perfect, warm, very soft bun...just the way they used to make them before burgers became 'cool' (in LA, at least). Was in Aubrey from Dallas dropping my puppy off for some training. The dog trainer suggested Kathy's for a burger. Girlfriend and I were both super impressed. One of the better burgers I have had and easily competes with best have had in Dallas. Bun was perfectly toasted, meat had plenty of flavor and was juicy without being too juicy. We went on a Friday specifically so my mom could try the catfish (only served Fri/Sat). My mom is really picky about fish so I hoped it would be good. The place was small and packed. We ordered at the front and sat down. Our food was out in no time even with the crowd and to-go orders. The portions were all very generous. My mom got the senior catfish and it was more than enough food. The filets were thick and meaty and the crust wasn't too thick. She really enjoyed it and was already talking about returning with a friend of hers. It came with hush puppies that had a buttery flavor, coleslaw, beans and crinkled French fries. I had the chicken fried steak. It was really good and huge! Fries and beans were also good. I had to take about half of the CFS home it was so big! My daughters hot dog looked yummy, not the average size kids menu hot dog. We took some pie home with us to eat later. My buds and I ride our bikes all over the area and found this gem. Its definitely a small place with all sorts of Elvis stuff everywhere. We come up for the fried fish. They have all you can eat fried fish Friday and Saturday. The fish is never greasy, it's covered in corn meal and cooked to perfection each time. I work in Aubrey and Live in Sanger. We stopped in one day for lunch. I ordered a Chicken Fried Steak. The portions are crazy big, I had leftovers for dinner. This was by far one of the best CFS I have ever had. The food was AWESOME! I love the down home southern place, the staff is friendly and the owner interacts with the customers. Food is so so and service is really BAD! Went there for lunch and our waitress greeted us with an attitude like we shouldn't be there, like we were a burden to her. When she gave us our drinks, she spilled my water, but didn't clean it up. I ordered the grilled chicken salad with Italian dressing. When the waitress gave us our food,she said that there wasn't any Italian dressing and what would I like. I said ranch. She took a long time to get it to me. She also forgot my friend's potato toppings. My friend proceeded to try to get her attention and the waitress wouldn't come. When she finally did, we asked about the ranch again. She finally brought it in little plastic cups. Then she told us that she usually doesn't serve our area, but the area across the restaurant. Um, that shouldn't be an excuse. Also, my chicken was cold like it was in the fridge overnight and the lettuce was just plain iceberg. Not worth 10 bucks for a salad I could have made at home. Good thing we had to pay at the front, because we knew she wasn't coming back to our table. My friend had to get her own to go cup and pour it at the front when we paid. NEVER going back! read more

ok being a former employee i know what goes on in there. first off, they use the same towels we used in the kitchen to wipe down the food area in the bathroom to dry your hands because they will not order anymore paper towels. They have beetles in the to go bags. I've had to take 1 beetle out of every 3 bags. That is the truth. The kitchen floor is supossed to be blue, however it is black due to the built up grease because they DO NOT clean good. They are supossed to change the grease in the fryers about 2 to 3 times a week, however it might get done twice a month. The owner (Kathy) cussed me out and called me names in front of all the customers for various things that was not my fault. It was things the new person messed up because they do not train. They use no cleaning material on the tables or counters, just a washrag wet with only water. After i asked Kathy if she wants to talk to me like that then please do so in a private area not in front of customers, she refused and finally i had to walk out. She pays all of her employees only $7 an hour (not even minimum wage). She pays cash at the end of the week straight out of the register. If there is not enough money in the register that night for you to get paid, you better hope the next day's profit can pay you otherwise you have to continue to wait for your money. You work anywhere from a 6-12 hour shift. You get no breaks whatsoever. I worked for 2 weeks and worked plenty of long hours and never once got to eat or rest my feet for 10 minutes. As you can see, Kathy is breaking so many labor laws and and also health laws. Please do not eat here and please help spread the word so we can get this place up to shape and clean even if that means getting shut down for a month or two. It is a very nasty place and after seeing first hand how things are ran in there, I personaly would never eat there anyways or let anyone I know subject themselves to such a nasty poor ran establishment.
