There aren't a lot of options in Sanger, so I was happy to find a place that my family and I liked for when I am visiting. Everyone tried a variety of foods and it was all good except the fried pickles. I don't recommend those unless you like salty foods.

Pancake, skillet meal and cowboy breakfast with eggs, biscuits & gravy. Very good food.

The food was delicious. Service very nice. Adorable atmosphere with the cowboy art. Lived this small town restaurant. I would definetly come again.

I tried out Cowboy's Restaurant in Sanger on a recent Saturday morning. Its location #3 (Krum, Lake Dallas) in the former, Lone Oak Cafe space. Basic southwest theme decor; comfortable & nothing fancy. My server was friendly, attentive. I got the "J.J." open face biscuit w/hash browns & 2 eggs on top smothered in cream gravy. Alot of food and it came out fast & hot as breakfast should. Very filling and tasty. Will have to try lunch sometime; they also serve dinner.

Great service! I have yet to have a bad waitress. The food is really good with ample portions. I'm here at least twice a week.

We started at the bar as our reserved table wasn't ready yet. My husband already knew what beer he wanted but I was on the fence. I decided to try one of the frozen cocktails, but one was a little too sour and the other was a bit too sweet. The bartender suggested mixing the two together into what they called a "Fraddy," and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful, which is something that seems harder and harder to find these days. They have TVs throughout the restaurant, making it a great place to catch a game, and we especially enjoyed watching the World Cup there. The outdoor patio is spacious and inviting, and I also appreciated that they accept reservations. Bella was an outstanding server who made excellent recommendations for our meal. The pizza was very tasty, although it was slightly undercooked for our preference. We also ordered a small Caesar salad, which was good but a little smaller than expected, so we will definitely order the large next time. Overall, we had a great experience and will absolutely be back!

Followed up by a side salad with blue cheese dressing. My main course consisted of a 12 oz sirloin with beans and a loaded baked potato. I finished off with the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Starting out, the jalapeños were good, but the bbq sauce dominated the flavor. The salad was a basic garden salad with iceberg lettuce et al. The steak was cooked medium rare as requested. It was flavorful and went well with potato and beans. The beans were cooked to perfection and the potato was proportioned well with sour cream, cheese, and bacon. The peach cobbler, was pretty basic tasting kind of bland. Peach cobbler is a favorite of mine and this one needed some seasoning. That being said, I was happy with the meal, especially for the cost. The staff was hospitable and the atmosphere was what you would expect from a cowboy steakhouse. I would definitely come back for another meal.

My favorites are the Rooster Tails (fried onions) and the chips and queso, but the real stars of the menu are the burgers. They're always fresh, hot, and juicy. The free peanuts are a nice touch, and they offer daily specials as well. I really miss the Bloody Mary bar, which was always a lot of fun, but their Sunday special makes up for it with a generous double for just $7. There's always a game on TV, which is a welcome break when you've had enough politics to last a lifetime. The servers and bartenders are consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. There's a full bar on both floors as well. The staff was pretty attentive, but the wait for food took a long time. I was happy the cocktails came pretty quickly and were well-made. The food was all pretty good for the most part not wowed but good! I have no complaints about my plate; it came with a great portion of food and was reasonably priced for BBQ. I ordered pulled pork and a side of corn and tomato salad and coleslaw. The sides were different from what I've had before, but I did enjoy them. Their coleslaw is more vinegar than mayo-forward. The pulled pork was well-seasoned, and the side of BBQ was the perfect match. My margarita tasted as if they made the mix in-house, and I prefer this. Store-bought mixers are usually either too sweet or too sour. However, if it is store-bought, I'm impressed! This was not a sweet margarita. My partner went for the Tennessee Texas Hot Sandwich; I did try it. There was hardly any heat despite it being their spicy chicken sandwich. I'm not sure if they make their chips in house but it seemed so.

Good accessibility, and a few photo-op places, too! Staff at both places (Fatburger and the station, where we had to buy one of our drinks from the cooler at Fatburger, because it wasn't their product) were friendly and courteous. Great burger! The XXL (1-lb) was two patties, thick and juicy, good flavor. The meat patty itself didn't have a lot of salt or seasoning on it, which I liked. Just delicious hamburger. I went with the toppings as they come--lettuce, tomato, mayo, relish, mustard, and onion--and it was a good combo with the meat. I don't think I'd do the relish again, though; it added a sweet, aromatic flavor to the burger I don't usually look for. All in all, I think this burger stacks up nicely with a Whataburger. The chicken sandwich wasn't as fat as the burger. Maybe ask for a double meat sandwich? Came with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. The kid downed it before I had a chance to ask for a second pic. Both the XXL burger and onion rings were super oily. The burger left a little pool of water and oil in the bottom of the wrapper (see video). Thankful they double wrapped it!! Managed to eat on the road with no problems because of it. The chicken sandwich wasn't as oily. The onion rings left a little pool of oil at the bottom of their paper container, too. Oh! They also have two kinds of spice sauces, I think for the breakfast burritos, but I enjoyed them with my onion rings. Good flavor on both. Red (more tomato-y, not spicy at all) and green (nicely spicy, fresh pepper flavor, not a crazy burn, lingers and dissipates nicely). Kinda pricey, at about $33 for all that, but I've got caloric fuel for the rest of the day, now! Thankful for this location and the friendly faces helping out here! God bless y'all!

Our server, Adam, greeted us shortly after and walked us through the specials, again wishing us a happy anniversary. We ordered a special appetizer, the octopus, steak, fresh bread, and margaritas. Everything was incredibly delicious. The margaritas especially impressed me I'm not a big drinker and tend to be very picky about cocktails, but it was perfectly balanced and so enjoyable. Throughout our meal, we were checked on regularly, both by our server and by the owner, Phil. Adam went above and beyond to ensure our drinks were always full and that we had everything we needed. It was also wonderful to see Phil personally checking on guests, clearing plates, and staying actively involved in the dining room. It's rare to see an owner so hands-on and genuinely engaged with customers. We finished the evening with crème brûlée for dessert, which was absolutely amazing and such a generous surprise when it was gifted to us in celebration of our anniversary. The entire night felt thoughtful, personal, and memorable. Outstanding food, exceptional service, and an owner who truly cares. We will absolutely be returning and highly recommend Hannah's for any special occasion.

She originally wanted Olive Garden, but I always try to support local when we can, so I suggested Picone... and I'm so glad! We ordered the birria crunch wrap, smash burger with potatoes, chicken parm pesto, and a Caesar salad, and we literally left no crumbs. Every bite tasted intentional. The chicken parm was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with rich, flavorful sauce and melty cheese that didn't overpower the dish. The pesto added a fresh, herby richness that tied everything together beautifully. The birria crunch wrap was packed with bold, slow-cooked flavor, and the crispy tortilla gave way to tender meat and creamy, cheesy goodness. It somehow managed to be comforting and exciting at the same time. The smash burger had that perfect crispy edge with a juicy center, and the potatoes were golden, crispy, and seasoned so well that they disappeared almost as fast as the burger. Even the Caesar salad wasn't an afterthought. It was fresh, crisp, perfectly dressed, and exactly what you want alongside a rich meal. You can tell there's real care behind the food. Nothing felt rushed or phoned in. Every dish had layers of flavor, great textures, and combinations that just worked. It felt like people who genuinely love feeding people made our meal. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. It had just the right amount of local charm that made the kids feel like they had discovered a cool hidden gem. We'll absolutely be back.

We came here for an early dinner after the show at the planetarium. Seriously get the burnt carrot. It's $10, for 1/2 of a carrot, but no joke, it's worth it. The chicken pesto entree was okay, but they used some other herb besides Basil in the pesto that is just not my jam-- dill maybe?, chervil??-- I dunno, but it threw off the flavor for me. That said, the cutlet underneath was very crispy and all the bites without the pesto were delish!. I have heard raves about the burger, so maybe that is worth another shot?? The service?, not stellar, just bored and unenthusiastic at the counter and s-l-o-w from the kitchen. The carrot came out quickly, but the cutlet took about 30 minutes after that, and the place was nearly empty. And, sorry to mention this part, the bathroom was filthy. I try not to correlate a dirty bathroom with a dirty kitchen, but it's difficult to reconcile.
