Rodeo Goat? You're probably thinking the same thing.... Why? And what in the world does it specialize in? Well- much to my chagrin... I was completely wrong. Maybe a Mediterranean style cuisine with shaved goat drizzled in tzatziki sauce with a Texan flair. I was wrong... but try gourmet burgers on for size. Burgers! Might I add- juicy, freshly made patties, and mighty tasty burgers! Man o man I loved the ambiance in a Friday evening. Came here with my son, who lives just across the parking lot at some urban apartments, and he was giving me his resounding endorsement so off we went. So glad I did! We both ordered the Bodacious Burger, layered in American cheese, bacon, heaping mounds of crispy onion, some grilled jalapeños, pickles, but I chose no BBQ sauce. Damn these burgers are thick thick thick and you can taste the homemade freshness with every bite. No frozen patties premade here. We ordered a single of hand punched fries dusted in parsley, salt, and Pepper. But, our waitress said it was enough for two, and she was spot on! Golden crispy fries were delish! I ordered their Old Buffagoat made with Buffalo Trace while my boy had a Vanilla Porter. All in all, great location, extremely friendly and immediate service, and more importantly, and no kidding- goatalicious with every bite!! As always, enjoy and Happy Eating!!

You would think that all Rodeo Goat food would be consistent. However, it certainly is not! This spot in Denton is by far the worst of any Rodeo Goats I have visited. (Rodeo Goat in Plano and Frisco Texas are 5 star burger locations! Just saying.) Reasons: Ordered the queso and cheese dip. The chips unanimously were stale and old tasting. And to add insult to stale chips, the salsa has BEER added to it! OMG! Not sure how old this salsa was, but for food to bubble and sizzle on your tongue is an issue. That's fermentation! That's jacked up! Everyone had a different burger. All were different sizes. Another inconsistency. The patties were pretty small and were smaller than the bun. Not a big deal, but we all added additional items to our burgers. Jalapeños, pickles, and/or bacon. And of course every single burger was without what we requested. Burgers were still "just" ok even though we paid extra to customize each one. "Sigh". Attention to details can really make a difference. If you can't follow through with customizations, don't offer that as an option. This place is a fail. The only solid thing at this location is that the wait staff will take your initial drink order. After that, well you're on your own. You won't see them again till it's time to pay. I expected all RG's to be created equal and have the same standards. I was seriously disappointed. The hand punched fries are pretty good. Unfortunately, getting condiments such as something as simple as ketchup is pathetic. There is no teamwork here. Each server is on their own. Just an observation. Denton management is a huge fail at this location. Come-on. Y'all can do way, way, way, better. Especially, since there are additional burger joints in the area. Managers should be rounding tables. 2 stars for the fries and water with seating. Otherwise, this location is an overpriced McDonalds. Blah! July 2025

Wednesday special is half off cheese fries! Both surprise (chili) and no surprise. It's a huge portion with bacon and cheese and jalapeños and it comes with a side of ketchup and 2 of ranch! They aren't cheap with ranch! Hubby ordered the chaca Oaxaca burger and gave it a solid 4/5 it had cheese, pico, an egg, everything yummy jammed into every bite! It was super affordable and we will probably be back!

The restaurant was very cute inside. The rattlesnake margarita was delicious and strong! My nanny goat burger was delicious. It was very rich with the goat cheese and garlic mayo, but I enjoyed it! Server was friendly and helpful.

Interesting burger selections, the choices do not fail your taste buds. All sides are ala carte so bill adds up quickly. Good cold drinks and luckily learned about MOONTANG. Finish off the meal with Goat Balls, enough to share while dipping in the magical berry jam. Good place, fun decor.

We had a party of 10 and we were able to find two tables back to back. Our server was very friendly. The Ozmosis burger was phenomenal. I was a bit unsure of the steaming pile but it was very good, messy but good. My husband's go to order is the avocado salad.

You may see a name such as Rodeo Goat on your apple maps and be a little confused. What you don't realize is that you are entering a sacred space of burger. Chloe gave us a magnificent solo rendition on the harmonica of a piece known as "Happy Birthday". You may have heard of it. My friend and I split the two competing burgers this month, "The Big Tex" and "The Sundance Kid" and enjoyed them immensely. The burgers are super unique and I guarantee there is something you haven't tried. The atmosphere is very GOAT-y and cozy. The whole restaurant feels like a family and we all love goats. The beauty of the rodeo goat is not in the goat itself. It's found in the memories, conversations, tastes, and friends you make along the way. The Goat, is simply the guide, and he is the GOAT.

A last minute date at Rodeo Goat with my wife made for a pleasant surprise, albeit quite messy dinner. It's been open almost a year now in the old location where a Cajun place was, next to BJ's and across the street from Chuy's. The complex list of burgers can be a little overwhelming, but my wife felt like the closest thing to a normal cheeseburger with mustard on it was the DCC, which we found out stands for Denton Country Club. Thick tomato cuts, pickles and mustard highlight this gem. Very great flavors but, fair warning, if you try to cut it in half it could just become a mess. I ordered the Chaka Oaxaca burger which features a chorizo mixed burger with a fried egg on it. Concept is fantastic because egg on a burger is one of my favorites and it comes with chipotle mayonnaise on it as I prefer mayo over mustard. Was a fantastic burger with a couple of downsides though. The egg was busted prior to arriving to me so the yolk had dripped down the bread to the bottom, which then made it the bun sticky and actually peel off on my fingers (eeeewww). Again makes for a mess man those thick chunks of avocado pair so well with the chorizo burger....but as advertised it's definitely a fiesta in your mouth. Those two burgers with a side of fries came to about $31 and my they check out on a hand held device so my wife said she left 20% to the very friendly and helpful waitress. No matter what people say, it always helps if the staff are smiling and appearing as if they are happy to have you dined with them. Never gets old. While not a fan of messy burgers that can fall apart, the flavor and service is well worth it...

    SADDLE UP! Burger

Always a good experience at this place. FYI it is seat yourself, and then a server will come take care of you. Kade was awesome. Each month they have a burger battle with two specials of the month. I ordered the Saddle Up! And the bacon was almost like a steak (thick cut!) Only call out is fries/chip/etc are NOT included and are à la carte. Their rewards program is great as well. If you go 2-3x you'll get some sort of reward. They also have multiple ways to pay. QR code on the receipt, regular card/cash, and also the chip reader they'll bring to the table. They are also great about large groups too.

We also ordered the Potato Skins that were filled with mashed potato (like a twice baked potato) and queso cheese. That too, was a perfect start to our experience. My wife and I shared The Flo aka a Mushroom Swiss Patty Melt, with some house fries. I also had dessert, which was an American Pie Old Fashioned. All of it... all so good. My son ordered The Jaky, which was a pork schnitzel topped with gravy. He also had some Mac n Cheese to go with it. He seemed pretty impressed by it. Overall, great service and an excellent experience. We will definitely be back again! As always, Enjoy & Happy Eating!

We started at the bar as our reserved table wasn't ready yet. My husband already knew what beer he wanted but I was on the fence. I decided to try one of the frozen cocktails, but one was a little too sour and the other was a bit too sweet. The bartender suggested mixing the two together into what they called a "Fraddy," and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and helpful, which is something that seems harder and harder to find these days. They have TVs throughout the restaurant, making it a great place to catch a game, and we especially enjoyed watching the World Cup there. The outdoor patio is spacious and inviting, and I also appreciated that they accept reservations. Bella was an outstanding server who made excellent recommendations for our meal. The pizza was very tasty, although it was slightly undercooked for our preference. We also ordered a small Caesar salad, which was good but a little smaller than expected, so we will definitely order the large next time. Overall, we had a great experience and will absolutely be back!

My partner in food wanted to try the King Kong against my better judgment. Looking at the photos, it didn't appear conceivable - to make matters worse, he wanted it to go! It came deconstructed. Four HUMONGOUS beef patties and probably a whole pound of bacon and beautifully melted cheddar. The bun was questionable, mostly because it was nowhere near enough bread for all that meat, but I get it, in a challenge situation, I wouldn't want to load up on bread. The patties were well seasoned and firm. I would have preferred medium, but since I was sharing, well done was fine. Not over done and still juicy. It also came with a container full of steak fries! I admittedly put a hurting in the fries, dipping them in the house ranch mixed with the jalapeño ranch. I wanted the fries to be crispier and the ranch to be thicker, but they were delicious nonetheless!! So how much of it did we finish?? I finished one patty with out bread!! My partner finished one and a half patties with sandwich bread. The bun got designated to my leftover patty. Tomorrow's lunch will be a single patty burger with half a pound of bacon!
