Out here visiting our son, who happens to live right around the corner at a square, and we decided to walk on over as this caught our eyes a couple of times when visiting. So we did it... and man... totally love the vibe here! We had no idea what to expect, but good food, great music, sports on the tele, and great drinks... what more could you ask? We ordered some Fried Pickles, which is ALWAYS a hit, especially with that Jalapeño Ranch dipping sauce... Hot Damn that was good! We also ordered the Potato Skins that were filled with mashed potato (like a twice baked potato) and queso cheese. That too, was a perfect start to our experience. My wife and I shared The Flo aka a Mushroom Swiss Patty Melt, with some house fries. I also had dessert, which was an American Pie Old Fashioned. All of it... all so good. My son ordered The Jaky, which was a pork schnitzel topped with gravy. He also had some Mac n Cheese to go with it. He seemed pretty impressed by it. Looking for a sports bar and found LakeHaus. I had the Haus Sampler with lemon pepper wings, Dive Bombs, chicken quesadilla and loaded nachos either chicken. Wife had the chicken schnitzel. Son had the Mean Green burger. Everything was tasty and fresh. Our server was new but she was awesome and very attentive to our orders. A little out of the way but worth the effort. Today was our first time. The food was excellent! We had spinach artichoke dip. It was the best I ever had! The chicken wings were very meaty with an excellent flavor. We got barbecue and teriyaki. Came early to try the appetizers, we loved the bacon wrapped jalapeños and fried pickles the best, potato skins were also tasty with lots of Queso. After the show we had the 4 cheese grilled cheese with pork loin on it and I have to say it was the most delicious grilled cheese I ever had!!! The Ranch burger was also quite tasty. For sometime, I had wanted to revisit this place after enjoyable visit the previous year. My latest experience was mediocre. Many of the seats on the right side of the bar was available, so I decided to sit there. Only later did I realize the reason. The bartenders would spend their time socializing with each other or their regulars on the left side. There were many times the bartenders would walk by me but not check if I needed anything. As a result, it took longer to order my beer, dinner, dessert and the check. While I had the intention of ordering a hot meal, I ended up getting the Stuffed Avocado. When I saw bruschetta in the description, I expected the typical bread topped with the tomato salad. In this case, bruschetta described the tomato topping on the stuffed avocados. While slightly disappointed, the entree was still enjoyable. I purposely ordered a light meal so I would have room for the Cookies & Cream Cheesecake. By far the worst place to eat!!!!! Me and my wife ordered the GYRO, TRASHCAN NACHOS, POTATO SKINS and two mixed drinks and it was all horrible!! Walked in and immediately had a warm feeling, decor was on point, and the hostess was friendly and got us seated quickly. We took our time looking at the menu and we started off with the chips salsa and queso (delicious btw) Kier was our waiter (very kind gentlemen and very patient with us) we finally decided on The Vegan Nightmare and Street Tacos. My boyfriend demolished The Vegan Nightmare (its huge btw) and I couldn't quite kill my street taco meal there was sooo much food on that plate (also quite delicious). Well, we tried to eat/drink there last weekend. Sat in the bar area and was never greeted, asked for drinks, told hello or will be with you in a minute, and waitress walked by 3 times without a word, 2 bartenders sound absolutely NOTHING ever came to greet us, manager walked by twice-not a word.... We left 15 minutes later. This place used to be great. Service is completely unacceptable, food delivery takes 30 minutes, mixed drinks are inconsistent. What else can I say. We used to be regulars, but probably not going back. You can change the name, but the internal workings also need to change to make it successful. I only come here for Latin night. Every 4th Friday of the month they have Latin music to dance from 10pm-2am. The drinks are good and cheap compared to other places I've been too. I highly recommend getting the prickly pear mule it's delish and made with a vodka from a local distillery. I've also tried the wings and fries. The wings were okay, not crispy enough and a little dry for my taste, but the fries were good. The staff is also pretty friendly. They do also have pool tables and other events like live music and comedy shows. This places isn't really my vibe and I only come here to dance, but if you're into dive bars I think this one is worth checking out. read more

Went to try something local...and wish we had looked a little harder. The inside is a nice sports bar.... Tons of big screens and large bar, plenty of seating for large groups. We decided to sit outside, and regretted every minute of it. Bugs, spider webs...just grimey. We ordered crab cakes, they came out cold and mushy.... Didn't eat more than one. Proceeded to entrée, ordered the gourmet grilled cheese with ham and tomato. They forgot the tomato (but it took a long time, so I just stick with what I got...cold grilled cheese and fries). Had to try again as my first two visits I didn't care for ...The menu isn't very big but it offers what you would expect for a restaurant/bar we started with chips, salsa and queso the green verde style salsa was good Ana's again as before the queso was good but velveeta was most likely the main ingredient. I ordered the buffalo mild wings and I didn't eat them as they tasted gamey and they were tough and difficult to chew not great tasting .. the ranch was good.. My husband ordered the dive bombs and we sent back the jalepenos were crunchy..:( they were filled with what tasted like the same velveeta queso I guess they haven't learned that your supposed to par boil them first - ordered fries for the queso - they were soft and cold would have been good otherwise - So I will probably not be back this is my 3rd visit each time I have been disappointed- ALTHOUGH it is great place to have a drink and visit with friends on the outside patio overlooking the water! read more

We used to come to the Dive all the time. After the new owner (2020) arrived and they redesigned the menu, we haven't had great experiences. The new menu is very limited and the prices have increased a lot.Today's experience put the final nail in the coffin, however. I ordered the Mean Green Burger with no bun since I can't have Gluten. The menu, nor the sever, informed me that the jalapeños were breaded and fried. The server dropped off my food and quickly left, so when she came back I let her know that I didn't realize the jalapeños were fried and I needed fresh ones. She took my food back to the kitchen to be remade. When I finally got my new burger, my husband was already done eating. I cut into my burger, but it was raw. We had to flag down a different server to let them know of the issue because our server wasn't around much. When our server did come back, we asked for our check for my husband's food and my drink. We never saw the manager and server barely apologized. Beyond the burger issues, the service was poor. The server did not let us know about the upcharge on my husband's side and was not very attentive. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

Well, we may have found a new regular spot when we are in the Denton area. Found out about this restaurant when Brandon Lea from Flickerstick & Jetta was playing a small show here this this weekend. They have a nice space that they can turn into a private event space, that opens up to be part of the regular dining space when not in use. We tried the veggie cakes, which ended up being bigger than we expected but still very delicious. We also got the salmon avocado toast that came with chips. That for sure is outstanding for a light meal, and the house chips are very good. Also, we got the stuffed avocados w/bruschetta chicken and subbed the rice for fries. For a lighter fair it was so much food and probably one of my new favorite meals. The stuffed avocados come on top of some lettuce and with the extra tomato was enough to be a salad! Fries ended up being a smash hit as we shared them, and broccoli was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We definitely plan on bringing a few family members here when they come to town next time, and look forward to trying a few more of the menu options! read more

It is sad what has happened to this place. It used to be our go to for a few beers and some bar food, the staff was and still is awesome. We haven't been there in months so we decided to try it again yesterday to see if anything improved. It didn't, it got worse. This isn't a fair review because I was never seated. I knew from previous visits years ago that it had a patio, and I had recently seen a Facebook post by the owner crowing that he finally had the perfect management team in place. Because of that, I called ahead to check if they let dogs on the patio. The woman who answered the phone, speaking like an auctioneer, said yes so I said I was on my way. (This was a weeknight -- last night, in fact. I have a small beagle that's currently being left alone all day for reasons I won't get into, but all I wanted was to get him out of the house and me some dinner.) I got there and took the walkway around to the back patio. A sign told me dogs had to enter on the other side. I confirmed that with the one waitress working the (almost empty) patio, and walked to the far side, then off the sidewalk and over the grass to the dog entrance, which was also the outdoor patio's tiny smoking section. That's where the waitress' one table was. I chatted with the two customers for several minutes, waiting for the waitress to reappear. Finally, I decided to just take my dog inside the restaurant. The couple agreed that was probably the best idea as they sat at a table full of empty plates. (I have a hunch the woman at that table is the one who left the recent review.) I crossed the rest of the field and went inside. The hostess stand was empty and a sign said wait to be seated. So I waited. And waited. And waited some more. While waiting, I watched the bartender (who looked like Pat McGurn from "Roadhouse," only more greasy, deliver drinks to tables one at a time. Literally carrying a pony glass of whiskey, setting it down, then going back to carry a draught beer to another table. I caught his eye a few times but his hectic pace must have prevented him from coming over. I also got to watch two waitresses come out from the kitchen, hand bills to tables (I couldn't see if those tables still had dirty, empty plates on them, as well), NOT check the rest of their section, and then go back to hang out in the kitchen. I think I made eye contact with one of them. The one person I know I made eye contact with was a customer who was hanging out for the restaurant's "corn hole happy hour." He saw my predicament and he, too, tried to make eye contact with any of the staff during their brief appearances in the dining room but to no avail. During my whole time at the Dive, which I'm guessing was about a half hour, I went from happy anticipation to bemusement to PO'd. I was sorely tempted to just walk myself and my dog through the dining room to the bar and have a seat, but with my wife out of town, I wasn't sure who might be able to bail me out. Instead, I drove back to Corinth, put the dog in the house, and went to Elm Fork Taphouse in Hickory Creek, where I enjoyed a couple of drinks and a full rack of delicious ribs, along with a loaded baked potato and some spicy cowboy beans -- and all served by friendly, attentive staff. I give them 5 stars. read more

Met some friends here for some drinks. Sat on the patio which had tvs and heaters (needed for this night). Our waitress Hope was very tentative and super nice. Drinks were good and food was great. It was getting colder outside so we switched our seating to inside to finish off watching some games. Inside was good "sports" environment with people cheering on teams. Because we went inside our waitress was no longer able to serve us and so we tabbed out with her and had to get drinks from the bar which is standard and not a problem. Ordering from the bar wasn't so easy. I stood in front of the bartender for awhile with no real eye contact that I would be served. After waiting for almost 10 mins with no acknowledgment I just went back to the table. I was in a clear spot to be seen and the bartender was waiving his towel around just chatting away. It wasn't that busy at the bar for me to question service time. After I went back to the table the bartender must've noticed and came to the table asking if we needed anything. We were greeted immediately and seated. It took about 10 min for our waitress to take our drink order. There were 3 people at the hostess stand but only two people waiting all of the tables in the dinning area. My husband ordered the stuffed avocados and I ordered the ranch hand. Sadly the avocados were not ripe and my husband had to send his plate back because they were rock hard. He said it was an odd combination of cold avocado and warm shredded chicken on top of it. The ranch hand burger itself was a sizable burger the side of fries was so sad, I opted for the sweet potato fries that I had tried and loved before. Sadly this time, there were only about 10 fries. I'm not sure if it was the jalapeño ranch or the pepper jack cheese but the burger was spicy! I was drinking my glass of tea and there was a table spoon in it... not a stirring spoon but an actual short teaspoon in the bottom of my cup. My husband and I asked the server who explained she dropped the spoon in my cup in case I wanted to put sweetener in it. I've never had someone do that and touch the spoon knowing it was fully submerged in the cup. Once she realized she did it, she said she didn't think to tell me or offer me a new glass. I came here for the grand opening and honestly the food and drinks here are amazing!! I tried multiple things off of the menu and did not have one bad thing to say about it!!
