Met some friends for a friendly gathering in the back yard. When I walked up unnoticed that there are some tables on the patio however it seems like it's all seat yourself. I wasn't sure as I was looking for the people I was joining. I walked through the bar area where I made a pit stop to order a drink. The staff were super friendly and there was a nice option for drinks. They even had specialized drinks for the season. Went to the back yard where there were picnic tables set up. It also gives access to the food trucks set up out back. When sitting at a table they have a QR code so you can order drinks and not have to go inside and possibly stand in line and they will bring the drinks to your table. This is probably one of my favorite bars ever. The drinks were extremely good! The place is super cute, nothing fancy but just so chill and inviting. The bar tender was very friendly and patient (I went with one of those friends that takes forever to figure out what they want). I wish they had more indoor space, we went on a day that was pretty cold and their two indoor spaces were packed, they do a really good job with heaters in their patio but I'm sure it's a lot nicer in the spring or summer. One of my favorite things about Miss Angeline's are the prices, especially when you are used to Dallas prices...paying $13-$20 for a drink...We ordered 3 drinks and 2 or 3 beers and our check plus tip was $51. The moment you walk in you see two dudes in T shirts and ball caps behind the bar. Then you see they're barely bartenders and some cocktails are on tap, including a frozen one in a machine that is obnoxiously loud if you're there at a slower time. Finally, it's as bright as a 5 Guys, even at 10 pm. You add all that up and you have a college bar with nice furniture, so you can't even enjoy a dive bar vibe. It's just odd. Ventured out to Miss Angeline's last weekend with a friend and my sister. We only had one drink prior to coming there. We walked in looking for our friends to meet up with and didn't see them, after going to the bathroom we sat down. The server came over to get our drinks and when she came back said that we were denied service from someone at the bar and we asked why and she said that she didn't know and wouldn't give us a reason. Some of the staff is a little standoffish, but I appreciate the friendly ones. Great place for small/medium-sized groups if you can find a spot on the patio! I highly recommend NOT ordering the cocktails on tap. Not sure what went wrong but both drinks we ordered left a bitter, strange after taste. Not sure if it was the container the drinks are sitting in but they were AWEFUL! I normally finish what I order to not waste but had 2 sips and then had to leave because they were that terrible. Decor and house seemed unique. Although seating can be awkward inside because you have to be in a group setting and have other people within close proximity. This place is amazing. The cocktails are super creative. They have piña coladas in friggin coconuts. The patio is spacious and they do table service. The wait staff is super friendly and if you've lived in Denton you are guaranteed to see a familiar face because they've hired the best of the best. The bartenders are knowledgeable and fast.
