I finally visited BoomerJack's Denton after being in this area for many years. I'm not sure why I haven't seen or heard more talk about this place because it is really good. The Denton BoomerJack's seems slightly different than other BoomerJack's in the DFW area - I'm not sure if they are all part of the same exact operation or this one is standalone, but the only difference I noticed is that the Denton menu does not include a few of the items on the other DFW menus. The dining area is spacious and comfortable. You might not get this impression from the store front but it is surprisingly large inside. Nice tables, booths, and a bar. Seat yourself and a server will take care of the rest. Service was great, by the way. I ordered the poblano smash burger and it was fantastic. The toppings were plentiful and the burger was moist and well-seasoned. Definitely a top-tier burger and I would be happy ordering it again. The turkey melt was pretty straight forward. Not too impressive but it was served exactly as described - sliced turkey sandwich meat on a pretzel bun with cheese. Optionally make it a club by adding bacon. Overall, I do recommend BoomerJack's Denton. Service was great, burger was great, and the dining experience was comfortable. read more

Ordered DoorDash from this location & we received both our orders without ANY CONDIMENTS or plasticware. Things like wings & mozzarella sticks NEED ranch & marinera. Was looking forward to trying out the menu here. Went in at 1p on a Sunday, was told by the hostess to choose a place to sit, of which there were several. We ordered through Uber Eats for our first try with Boomer's Grill - maybe that was our mistake. The California Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich, which is supposed to come with a side of Ranch, did not. It was ordered without tomato and raw onion, both of which we were given a big full side of, but no Ranch (even at an additional request). When I took a bite of it, the sandwich sort of bounced back, as the chicken breast was charred on the outside and RAW in the center. Our other order, the Bacon Cheeseburger was so well done it could not be eaten, as it was hard and dry like a hockey puck. We also ordered the burger WITHOUT lettuce (which was generously included in a side container) and WITH a side of Ranch for the fries, which, of course, was NOT included. When I called the restaurant to tell them of our food, he said that most of the special instructions at the bottom of each order were cut off of the ticket (so it wasn't their fault), and that "Uber Eats should take care of things." I just wanted him to know of our poor experience, but at that point, definitely did NOT want the food remade. No apology was offered. WIN: I was able to pull some areas of the charred chicken apart and fed the non-raw edges (about 30%) to my dog. We can safely say that we've checked Boomer's OFF our list of potential places to eat in Denton. Never again. read more

We got back in town late from travelling on a Thursday night. Neither of us wanted to see the inside of a car again so we turned to who still had delivery at 9pm. We know where they are located, which isn't far from our home. We even thought we may have eaten here once a few years ago but couldnt recall the details. The menu consisted of wings, burgers, salads, wraps, sandwiches, appetizers and a few grilled items. We ordered a turkey pretzel sandwich $9.49, a cheeseburger $8.79 and an appetizer sampler $12.49. My husband shared some his cheeseburger with me since my sandwich was a disappointment. It was great! Flavorful, juicy and filling. This was the one thing worth ordering again. My sandwich sounded appealing with Turkey, Swiss and creamy honey dijon on a pretzel bun. It seemed like processed turkey so I couldn't figure out why it cost more than the burger! It was extremely dry and bland and there was no dijon to be found! Fail. They included an extra bbq sauce and 3 sides of ranch with our apps, which we appreciated. So why no sauce on my sandwich or at least a side for me to put on? Pretzel buns are dense and tend to need extra, plus the sandwich would have benefited from *some* flavor. The apps were ok. I prefer dry rub wings, but they don't offer any. The honey bbq wings were the best of the appetizer sampler. The mozzarella bites and potato skins were alright, but dry was the common theme of the night. There is a dependency on the sauces to flavor the dishes...if you get any. That being said, the menu is ideally craveable if you've been drinking or have those end of a long day greasy munchies. It's ok and we will probably try it again at some point. read more

I've been here many times throughout the years. My husband really likes the wings, and often comes with friends for games, and brings me back something. Every time I eat here, I realize that it's just not that great. They just recently switched to having servers, were before you would just order at the counter and they brought it to you. I believe I preferred it before, when stuff was more self service. It's not because the service is bad, it's just because stuff can get a bit hectic during game days, and I prefer to grab my own drink refills. I'm not a big fan of wings due to a horrible food poisoning experience (looking at you Hooters in Denton) so I've had almost every sandwich, burger, and wrap here in an effort to find something I like. I find the food coming up just short every time. I feel like most of this is due to lack of flavor. No matter how much salt or sauces I add to food here, it doesn't taste like much. The one thing I really like, and will vouch for is the Macaroni and cheese. For some reason, there's is very good and I often just get two sides of it for a meal. Overall, it's three stars, but it's a three star that I'll likely continue to frequent because it doesn't get as crowded as other sports themed restaurants in town, and the macaroni is quite good. They also do very decent daily drink specials, and have some of the best beer prices in town. Overall, not a bad place to watch a game and grab a pitcher. read more

We have ordered from here and had it delivered a few times. It's pretty good food. The Monte Christo is really good too. Definitely would recommend giving this place a try. I haven't dined in since I don't dine in at restaurants currently due to there still being Covid cases so no comment on the service but the food is good. When ordering from Doordash, BoomerJack's always seems to forget some of your food! It's not the dasher's fault because Boomers staples or uses stickers to seal the bag before the dasher picks it up. No matter if you are dining in or having their food delivered, the service should remain consistent. You're still buying your food from them! read more

One of the most terrible dining experiences I had in a long time. We ordered appetizers and it took 45 minutes and they all didn't come out at the same time. When we went to order they told us they were out of hamburgers!! Our entrees took another over an hour and only half got their order and it took another 20 minutes to get the rest. My only "compliant" is they were a little too wet for me and ended up being soggy by the time I got to the last few. When all the food came out and it was hot and edible, nothing was left so that is a plus. We were craving wings and happened to be right around the corner, so of course, we choose local over big chain in Denton. The boneless wings weren't covered in sauce well, and were more like breaded chicken nuggets with a drizzle of flavor on them. Their "original" flavor was not spicy at all, and that bummed me out. I saw .59 cent wings in the window, so I stopped to try them. That special only applies on Monday and Wednesday. Big mistake... I ordered five wings (garlic parm) $4.99 a little but on the expensive side since they didn't come with a side. I waited ten minutes before my order came out. These wings were so tiny I couldn't believe this was an order. My low rate is based on that however the flavor on the wings was amazing. read more
