Walked into The Brass Tap on a Monday when it wasn't very busy and decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was quick to bring a menu, and I ordered a Woodford Old Fashioned. The drink itself was good, but the glass had a noticeable odor. I still drank it since the bourbon overpowered the smell. I wasn't offered a food menu until about 10 minutes later. Once I decided what I wanted, it took another 20 minutes before the bartender came back around to take my order. I ordered the carnivore pizza. It's decent if you're extremely hungry and not too picky, but it tasted like a frozen pizza with meat scattered unevenly. I added green peppers and red onions, yet only about 3 out of 8 slices actually had them. Josh, the bartender, seems to mean well but gets flustered quickly and could benefit from being more personable and attentive. Overall, the service could use improvement when it comes to attentiveness, and the food quality doesn't quite match the prices. Would I come back? Maybe, if I was in the mood for a cheap dive bar vibe rather than a true sit-down restaurant experience. read more

Brass Tap has gone WAY downhill over the past year. We used to love coming here - food & service were top notch. Now you're lucky if you get waited on within 20 minutes. My husband and I had a quick dinner here. We've only been here a couple times. They have some games you can play like the giant connect 4 and cornhole. Staff is pretty nice and place is pretty clean. Lots of cocktail options. I was shocked that most of the plates are 1500-2000 calories, so if you count calories be wary. I ordered the grilled shrimp platter with buffalo cauliflower and Brussels sprouts and was pretty happy with my order. Also got sangria which was not bad. Husband got a steak with Brussels sprouts. He liked the Brussels sprouts but the steak was bad. Visibly looked like it was boiled and soggy and it was a gray color from the outside in. I did complain and they did offer to replace it with something else which was nice but my husband didn't want to wait for a new plate. Also asked for A1 and they only have a weird tobasco A1 hybrid. TLDR don't order the steak. It was surprisingly bad and they should remove this from their menu. read more

The most overpriced for disgusting food! Service was not even attending, we would have to ask for him to come here to order. When I kid you not the steak on the nachos tasted old. The wings tasted so gross with an overload of sauce. The chicken tenders tasted like frozen meat, just plain rubber. The margarita tasted like straight syrup. The only thing saving it was the ambiance, but an empty pretty space is not worth it!!!! read more

Excellent service! The servers/bartenders were so friendly and offered great suggestions. Food was typical bar food and was tasty. Had the trio for appetizer and the guac was super yummy. Salsa had a fresh herbaceous flavor to it that I could not quite place (maybe an abundance of parsley?? it definitely wasn't extra cilantro). Hubby ordered the Avacado Burger with tots and I picked the lunch special, Chicken tenders (tossed in buffalo sauce + lemon pepper dry rub) and fries. Food was yummy and didn't take long to come out. They have a huge list of craft beers on tap (as they should since that is the concept of the joint) and several were highlighted in the menu to be on happy hour when we were there which was cool. Hubby stuck with his favorite but tried a sample/taste of a new one to him. I sampled some of the hard ciders on tap, but stuck with the pear one in a can the server recommended. Stopped in here to try it out since it was local to my home. Food was good. Service was stellar. Place was quiet for a weekday afternoon which was a plus for me. However, the menu is pricey for what you get. Also soda are not free refills, at 3.50 a pop it can rack up your bill quickly. I wish they had told me before since most places have free refills on Sodas. A bill that should have been in the 20s ended up in the 30s (before tip). Overall, if you want a place to hang out with good food and drinks, definitely would recommend it. I'll probably stop in again and just order water next time. read more

Went here on a trivia night so it was especially busy but overall still had a great experience. There were a ton of beers on tap and the food was great! We had a soft pretzel and loaded brisket fries. The pretzel came put almost instantly and was piping hot, the accompanying queso was delicious. The loaded fries also came out incredibly fast and also very hot and fresh. The staff was fun and friendly and the host of trivia night was entertaining. The facility was very clean and the bathrooms were top notch and shockingly clean for the amount of people there. The only things preventing a 5 star review was the excessive waiting times for just a beer and then the lack of head that the beers i ordered had. They can improve on their pours and maybe get some more help at the bar, at least on nights where it's expected to be busier than usual. read more

I came in on a late Monday night around 10 pm. Just looking for a good sports bar. It was very chill and relaxed vibe. I tried a few of their sample beers and ate the Boom Boom shrimp and the BBQ Pork Mac and Cheese bites. Delicious. My guy Josh took great care of me and gave me good advice on what to get. We visited The Brass Tap today to watch the baseball game. We've been here several times before and always had a good experience, but unfortunately, today was very disappointing. An older waitress (I'm not sure of her name) took our drink order, and we asked for a few more minutes to decide on our food. After about 15 minutes, she came back, took the menus, and left without taking our food order. She realized this later and eventually came back to take it. When the food arrived, one of the dishes was incorrect, but we decided to keep it. Later, while we were still eating, the waitress came by several times asking if we were ready for the check. Then she unexpectedly started clearing our table and took our plates -- even though we hadn't finished and still had more than half of the food left. We thought maybe she was packing it to go, but when we asked, she said she had thrown it away without asking if we were done. She offered dessert afterward, but by that point, I was very frustrated. I've never experienced something like this before. I also noticed that she was much more polite and attentive to other tables, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. We were never rude; we simply wanted to enjoy the game and have a nice meal. It's disappointing because this is a place I've really enjoyed visiting in the past. read more

The food menu is very slim nothing looked very good so I can't say much for the food but the bartender wouldn't stop getting on his phone and never washed his hands once. Sneezed into his hands didn't wash and immediately poured my drink and served it to me. Then proceeded to continue coughing into his hands and getting on his phone.. so if anyone else got sick after leaving there like I did don't be surprised. Likely won't be back if that's the standard for food safety. Not sure how to reach out since no email was provided. But it was a younger black male slightly feminine sounding. The beer selection is great as well as the service. The 2 is for the food. Ordered queso to start. Should have stopped there. Next were Nashville hot wings. Deep fried to utter death and doused with a powder. First time ever getting Nashville wings with a dry powder covering the top. I would say a rub but it's wasn't rubbed in. Next was fish and chips. Brass Tap has become my go-to neighborhood bar. Aubrey/ Crossroads is definitely limited in bars however, this is by far the nicest place we have. Food is consistent, bartenders are knowledgeable & friendly, and is the only place in town that stock higher end liquors. Small town feel & high end vibes, perfect combo. We decided to try Brass Tap's order pick up service, so I can't speak to the dine in experience. I ordered the American Pub burger with Brussel sprouts (which was a $1 up charge since it replaced fries). Overall, the burger was cooked nicely and the produce on it was decent. The brussel sprouts were seasoned well and cooked through. Would I spend $15 on this meal again? Eh probably not but it was decent quality-wise. For those doing order pick up, there is no specified parking spots nor is there a designated area inside the restaurant that is intuitive to pick up your food. read more

Restaurant is very cold, flies wouldn't leave us alone, tater tots over done, romaine in the Caesar salad wilted. The burger was cooked perfectly, but had no seasoning, very bland. Ordered pulled pork mac and cheese bites, pork did not taste right. Overall, not a good experience we won't be back. Went with my wife for a Friday evening happy hour at 6pm. It wasn't really that busy, we were seated immediately at the bar. The bartenders spent a lot of time talking and goofing with each other, but the service is adequate. We got to sample a couple of things before we ordered drinks. My wife ordered the blackberry grilled cheese, it came out perfect; I ordered brussels sprouts and the chicken tacos off the happy hour menu, they came out lukewarm at best, like they had been under a hot lamp. The brussels sprouts weren't seasoned at all, and I was overcharged for the chicken tacos: they were $9 on the happy hour menu, but I was charged $10.25. We would've sat outside, but it was raining and windy; the inside felt very cramped compared to other Brass Tap locations I have been to. read more
